Its refreshing to see someone who not only knows there truck but actually built it. Theres too many people who dont build or know there vehicles now a days. Nice work and thanks for taking me for a ride in it. Very well built and fun rig.
Thanks. I am sure we will catch up again this .
Chris is brilliant. He just solves problems, and it shows, because he don't come to watch and that truck usually gets itself back home
Thanks man.
Saw the link from your IG and really enjoyed the breakdown of the problems and solutions that followed over the course of your build as I’ve experienced similar issues with my 02.
Great video 👍🏼
Awesome video man you were the best host a car guy could ask for. Explained it how it is.
dont see too many trucks like this up around here. nice build. one day one of my 5 will be a prerunner.. probably.
Its definitely a journey to get there but a fun one.
Great video. Broke everything down. Love it. I’ve been waiting for this video!
Thanks you. I am sure I missed stuff, feel free to ask questions if you have any.
Great video. Love the storytelling at the end on your journey with moding it. Nice that you didn't just glance over things too and went in depth into what you have done and how it's performed for you so far.
Thank you. I was hoping it was helpful and also hope people will ask questions of stuff I didn't talk much about.
@@4wheeltrips Definitely a badass build. That rear axle is $$$
That’s sick. I want to have something like this one day hopefully soonish.
The most badass Taco on UA-cam🤟
Love the video man! I have a 2001 and am in the process of long traveling. Your truck is the goal one day
Thanks man. If you have any questions along the way feel free to ask. I will do my beat to help you out.
Amazing truck, great job!
Thank you
Solid my guy!
Youre a legend 🙌🙌🙌
Great video and What a Beast of a Taco 🌮 Awesome build, I like the Versatility of it , I have the same color 2003 extended cab 4WD 2.7 Auto S.A.Swap, I love my truck 🛻 It's not as over the top as your Beast but she's getting there, and I definitely can't jump her 😂 but she'll Crawl and it's my daily driver, Motorcycle Hauler, offroader etc, just did the solid axle swap about a month ago and I'm super happy with her , drives great, since I can't seem to find to much about upgrading the auto trans on line, when it comes time to rebuild or replace my transmission, I would love to pick your brain? Definitely something I will have to address in the near future, and 💯 % want to keep her auto for the Rocks , I live in the NYC/Long Island area but primarily offroad in PA, I love stick and been driving stick shift for almost my entire life but nothing beats 2 footing it on the rocks 🪨 Sorry to chew your ear off but all me and my friends talk about is Cars, Trucks 🛻 and Motorcycles 😂 You know, Awesome taco 🌮 brother and TY for the videos, I'm gonna watch another one of your videos, right now and please 🙏 if you get a chance, please 🙏 check out my Taco 🌮 S.A.Swap @frankrubicon_ on Instagram and my UA-cam channel, thanks brother
Ask me questions anytime. I will check out your build. Build take time to get them where you want them. What matters is that you build what you want and enjoy it along the way.
@@4wheeltrips TY brother, Really appreciate it and 💯 % , especially when you have the best color Tacoma, I watched a bunch of your videos, I basically have the S.A.Swap version of your truck 🛻
Awesome truck. Just bought an 04 3.4 auto completely stock. I saw another person had a solid one piece driveshaft. Do you have this setup or have you considered it if not?
Thanks, I have a two piece. I like the two piece because drivelines angles seem to be less picky and it gives a little more ground clearance.
Were you able to get enough fueling from the 7th injector for the 2.1 pulley? Awesome build!
Thank you. I have not had any fuel issues. I originally tuned my truck on a dyno with a 2.2 pulley, but that same tune worked for the 2.1.
@@4wheeltrips awesome! Thanks for the info!
@@johnkeys4692 glad to help
Sick fuckin truck man
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
Has anyone tried incorporating a oil cooler into the transmission? I was planning on cooling my transmission transfer case and both diffs and temp monitoring
Not that I have ever heard of. The problem is you would need pumps to push the fluid thru the cooler and they wouldnt be able to build pressure in the trans or fluid would come out the shifter in a manual.
@4wheeltrips awesome point!!! 👌 what about adding a water jacket around the transmission on the lower section and using coolant instead? I'm following the same kinda build but I wanna keep my 5 speed. I am looking into fabricating a new housing since I already wanted to adapt a gear vendors shift splitter in-between the transfer case so ill be modifying mine as is but if heat is a issue I have to get ahead of it somehow or none of this will work
Why did you end up running the bypasses behind the Axel?
When the bedcage was built the truck still had the stock fuel tank and axle under it. I was going to move the shocks outside the frame after the new axle but decided might as well just link it if I am going to do all that work.
@@4wheeltrips ahhh okay that makes a lot of sense, I’m about to start a leaf under and fuel tank relocation to the rear were the spare is under the bed. I’ll be running my bypasses in between the frame because I’m still running with the stock rear axel. Hopefully it’ll turn out rad🤙🏽 thank you for the response man!
@@anthonyrojas9791 I am sure it will turn out great. It is better to have them in front of the axle if possible. Should help with axlewrap alittle.
What is done for rear suspension?
The parts are listed in the description above? Or are you looking for different info?
4x4 or 2wd ?

@@davin2629 I have been giving him time to fix his fender and roof from the rollover. When its not tucked away for winter we will get one done.
And who's property is this you're trespassing on? 😂
Its a super secret location maybe one day we will show it to you. 🤣.
because no more boring cars lol
