Awesome video guys. Favorite TFL guys making another great off-road video.
Great job !
Rear locker for Yoda and she’s good. The stock FJ is awesome off road. Toyota should never have discontinued it.
They didn't for the most part. They still sell them brand new in many different markets. But yeah I get it, you meant for the US market.
It won't meet federal regs for safety and fuel economy and hurts their cafe numbers.
Well you can buy a new 2021 FJ cruiser here in Colombia South America.
more like a front locker
They’re gonna bring back the FJ, we’re gonna do a review when that time comes so subscribe and stick around!
It's just a rear locker short of PERFECTION. Whoever gets Baby Yoda in the auction will have the coolest old Tacoma around!!
Exactly. I had an 04 TRD V6 5 speed with the locker and it was fantastic offroad.
But they will be saddled with dumping the topper. 😢
@@robertyoung8289 lol. It's functional even if it doesn't match.
And front
@@kgositheophilusbakwena3632 was fairly sure a decent limited slip was available but didn't know they offered a locker for the IFS front end.
I love the bumper on the Yota. That is exactly how I built mine with the 2" receiver behind the license plate.
Great video guys. My son is watching Saturday morning cartoons. I'm watching Saturday morning TFL. It doesn't get any better.
Easy to be independent and honest when having that much fun! Good job guys!
Hey guys, I love what you have done with baby yoda. Having grown up in a children’s home, I know how tough it can be for those children. God bless you for bringing a little sunshine to their lives. 😊
I have the Xtracab version of baby Yota, same year and model. It has 350k miles of trails, rock crawling and freeway driving behind it and it is still tearing it up. If you want to look like a big tough truck (emphasis on **look** ) then get something else. If you want real capability with zero posing, the 1st gen Tacoma 4x is an excellent choice.
Baby Yota. Driven by baby face Kase. Hahaha. And Tommy hating the Defender as much as I do.
Priceless!
You should try that offroad route in a Unimog 406, it may not have hill descent control, traction control and terrain programs, but what it does have are front and rear difflocks portal axles and a 4500 to 1 crawl ratio ( cascade gearbox ) so no braking on steep descents!!!
Shes a beautiful truck! You guys did awesome job! Rear locker and yoda will be a t rex with arms, unstoppable.
Case with the casual “my parents bought a G wagen” drop... bet that was a blast.
I've barely even seen any g-wagens haha
To be fair he only says they bought one we don’t know if it was new or used
I just bought a 2017 Toyota tacomatrd sport with a 6inch lift on 35s and a ARB front bumper and I love it definitely cant wait to take it on some trails
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Send us some pics of the rig man! We love seeing ARB on yotas!
That Yoda looks sick and with the new colors, the bed cover wasn't an actual bad choice lol
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! The color choice on Yoda was awesome. Retro Yota colors
I LOVE baby Yota and the FJ Cruiser. Pls put them on bids site ASAP ! 💃🕺😎
Yota is getting donated/ auctioned for charity..:)
I have a twin to Baby Yota, softopper and all. Best truck ever.
I got a a 2010 FJ with a three inch lift, copper sst pros 285 mud tires, and skid plates. It seriously improves capabilities relative to the money. I had mine stock for about a year, and it was a complete different animal.
yea, after that you could throw thousands of dollars more in mods at it, but fairly limited capabilities increase for the money.
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Supercharger on the Fj is a beast man. Wish I had something like that for the Mcfly rig available
I wish video could convey how gnarly these trails are.
I’d be proud to own either. Already have the FJ.
Breaking in the newbie...... nice. Pretty soon Roman will be on vacation all the time lol.
its funny to see how high their anxiety is going down this trail! I've ridden it a few times on dirt bike and I'm used to just bombing he whole trail haha. awesome build guys! glad it went to a good cause...might have to do this to my dad's truck
Dont be afraid to air "way" down. Makes a massive difference.
you cant say you've aired down until you're below 19psi (sidewall permitting).. 20+ barely even makes the ride softer on light trails
@@mikeymancha2594 I do 15lb on my Tacoma. Could go lower but she's heavy.
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! You gotta be careful airing down you can throw off the bead on this truck. In rocky areas the sidewalks may not be up to the challenge need heavier thick walls.
Love the channel. Great video, good tests of rigs. Thinking how those compact Japanese SUVs of the late 80s early 90s - think Suzuki Sidekick, Mitsubishi Montero like Tommys Daewoo Rocky
14:01 The taco didn't scrap but it was also the only lifted vehicle there. The rest had factory suspension.
Case sounds like a weather man! 😆👍🏿 Awesome video!
Haha im inclined to agree with you there
Loving these Tacoma vids! You mixed up your degrees and your % grades haha. 29 degrees is about 65% grade vs the 7% on the highway.. pretty dang steep!
Got a 2010 FJ first mod i did was putting front seat 2inch spacers :) now it isn’t a like driving wwii bunker :) great rig btw love it \_/
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Thank you for reminding me! I want to install those spacers on my truck the seat angle is uncomfortable
Are those the stock fender flares? (Black). Looking everywhere for those for my 2k reg cab
Love this Toyota
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Any Toyota is an awesome Toyota!
I wish they could make a vehicle that combines the FJ Cruiser's looks with the 4Runners doors
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Sadly that probably won’t happen. We will be lucky to see a new FJ cruise hopefully with turbos and not electric although an electric model will be cool! New 4Runner will be here in 2023 we will make sure to do an awesome review!
TFL Classic, what the news about old chevy that you have restored it, also the old Ram and Ford, nothing new about them?
Excellent production!
Omg I really want one little Yota now it’s so awesome truck.
Lock that taco and you have, in my opinion, one of the best.
I have a stock 4 runner. So far, I have only run across a couple of things where I wished I had more clearance. For the most part, I just pick a good line and don't have a problem.
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Those old tacos are awesome. They’re getting too pricey I see wrecked ones selling for 12K which is nonsense
Fun vid, nice mix of obstacles
Nice . . . climbed 'er that third time with a little extra Nathan.
@tflclassics Where and how did you end up relocating the control box? Thanks.
The only vehicles I remember not scratching was the Defender, Baby yota and the hummer H2
That little truck looks so good!
Shoulda had air @ 16! Also, when you gonna go to North side of fins and film the west end gnarly hill climb?
Fun vids. I have a first gen Tacoma 2.7 manual single cab long bed. Is this Tacoma a long or short bed? I cant tell. Kind of thinking it looks a bit shorter wheel base then mine, but not totally sure.
Great job on the video guys. Awesome job on that cheap little Baby Yota! Looks like some serious offroad credibility.
- I still think the soft topper is ugly, though. LOL
When looking through the windshield the range of view is center to low and side to side not high.
Could u take it to the dunes or will it get stuck?
The Tacoma is a monster!
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra!
There is a reasn actual singpe cab midsized trucks are preferred on the trail.. better approach and departure.. brake over angle, compact size and shorter wheelbase..
On tight trails or steep hills a single cab midsize will generally always perform better than a crewcab full size
It always scares me when my truck makes the sneaker in the dryer noise.
Yea my tundra 4x4 made that noise a few weeks ago when we got record snow. First winter with my truck or a Toyota so was different than my Silverado
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Wait until you get transmission shudder… it was terrifying in my tundra. Wish we would have made a video on the short term solution it’s lasted 30K miles so far.
Your little truck performed better than the factory vehicle.
Great video! What tire pressure did you air down to on the FJ and Baby Yoda?
Just Fantastic! Great place for testing!
Great video
So, each time I see the baby yota...good job on it, with one exception...the colour of the soft topper makes me crazy.....BLACK would have been awesome.. the Tan colour just looks wrong... Don't these thing look better coordinated....
True true. Black goes with ANYTHING🔥👍🏻
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Tan is pretty cool man. I know what you mean though some people like it well a lot like it. It goes with white.
Wonder what gearing the rear end has.. with some regearing you will upgrade offroad but lose out some on speed.
Pretty sure they are a 3.73
Lol I did fins n things in my f150 whennit was covered with snow and ice. 😂
How much does a wrap like that cost?
Still watching the video
That’s a very cool looking truck.
Like New England christian said....
Add a rear locker and for me personally I would have started with the v6 but your deal.
Other than that have fun w it. She'll go to like 400k if it hasn't been beat
Very nice guys where can I get front and rear bumper like that please let me know thanks
Those bumpers came from Relentless Fabrication
They're done, but it's certainly not complete, starting with the nasty headlights...
Hahaha. Thx u Tommy. You saved me 3 seconds by saying what I was thinking
@9:35 - that's what the Talibans do on the daily with their stock 1989 Toyota Pickups. Just more hardcore.
Where did you get the awesome camper shell from and will it fit a 91 Toyota pickup
Softopper makes them and yeah they have them for older Yotas like your pickup. I have a 94 as well.
Thank you sir👍
Fun video!!!!!!
You should supercharge it with like a Magnuson supercharger
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! For this gen pretty sure they can find TRD superchargers magnusons is pricey but worth it though.
Wait did he say he came in a Mercedes G wagon wtf. Btw I have that same truck w/ a rear locker it goes through everything.
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! The rear lockers were a little rare. Hard to believe we went 20 years or so with no stock rear lockers. The new 2022 has the option!!!
Great job !
Awesome!
Should have brought this to the big truck test lol
Man, I live that truck. If I didn't live in Germany I would bid for it, although I don't need it nor have a place to park it.🙂
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Do you have the ability to get these in Germany? I know they you’d have to import one kit sure about taxes or legality.
So the world's best offroader is a modified 20 year old tacoma, taking price and reliability into the equation? 🤣🤣🤣
Yeap
BADASS! Stuff
Wait a minute, I thought that truck was built for auctioning it off for charity.
Why didn't we see the FJ tackle Fins & Things ?
Case: "I haven't been out here since I was a little kid." So like 5 years ago. 🤣🤣🤣
I like Case as a presenter a lot but this was still funny
@@HAHA.GoodMeme They do a good job.
I'd argue that Case is one of their better drivers....knows how to use momentum a lot better than the rest of the crew.
@@daveharness70 And these kids don't huff and puff like the TFL old folk. 😕
Missing a lug on your rear right!
Wheres the soft topper from again?
Softopper out of Boulder.
@@zonacrs thanks m8
Where is the '65 Ford?
2000 and what fj Tommy?
I think the fj is a 2014
yeah 14! I don’t know where I got 2008
I wonder why you said 2008 as the Cement was only available in ‘14
Doesn’t look like you aired down those tires...
They stated in one of the recent trucks video from Moab that they 'aired down' to 29 psi...
Or more commonly known as road pressure -_-
Needs to be at least 25 if not 20.
I wish that pick up was manual.
I would af lower the tire pressure to 15 psi
Looked like fun. The Blazer copycat did well also.
Fj has been around longer than the blazer. Also that comparison is an insult to toyota reliability.
@@jackk8422 Show me a 1969 FJ, also if toyota was really so good why do they compete with honda on the biggest shops with the most vehicles sitting behind the shops. If you used the fj for hard work like real trucks get used it would not last it is a mall car. Do not just believe things go get a job at toyota, they are all junk just like the rest.
@@badgerpa9 I work on cars for a living toyota and honda are the 2 best vehicles on the road unless you need a hd truck.
Love 2 c baby yoda destroy black bear pass 👍
If I had to choose between the two I'd choose the Hilux (Tacoma)
Its based on the old Land Cruiser not the 4Runner.
Too bad you didn't take this against the Defender. Way better and way cheaper. I just wish you would have spent the money for some lockers instead of the wrap.
Same here. Think that might have been donated to the project though.
Anyone els not like the hitch behind the plate that makes it useless to me
@@C10sRule yeah it’s great for offroad but I’m thinking about actually towing something
not sure you’d want to tow much or often with the baby yota four gerbil motor
@@TFLtruck yes but Mabey if you just wanna tow you lawn mower around the truck will handle that fine, it’s just my opinion because I always want a useful way of towing on a truck
It really would only be good for a bike rack, if you towed much weight behind that you will kill it.
Delete the sway bar and add air lockers and that little truck would be great
Hi there, my name is Chris! Nice to meet you, if you like yotas check out our channel and 👉🏽subscribe👈🏽! We’re gonna be showing how we made our Marty Mcfly Tundra! Single axle swap would be awesome!
You buy and build a frontier next
The hummer H2 didn't scrape.... Just saying
Throw a $350 lunch box locker in the rear and it will be night and day on off road performance.
Had a friend whos dad traded in his 2002 wrx wagon for an FJ in 2005 because it was new and he was usually our DD.. sitting in the back of an fj is a nightmare for anyone close to 6ft and the rear suicide doors are horrible
At least when the FJ was sort of retro designed they gave it drcent offroad abilities unlike the pussified Blazer from GM.
Awesome vehicles, it’s not a hitch, it’s called a receiver, and it is in a very cool location
Second
G wagon?!?!? Who’s trust fund kid is this???😂😂
A g wagon doesn't require someone to be exceedingly wealthy to buy. Trust fund kids have McLarens and Lamborghini Uras and don't work. Kase has a cummins truck and works for tfl, seems pretty down-to-earth to me...
One of my friends has like a 2005 imported g wagon from sweden, it was under 10k
Funny, I never knew "trust fund kids" worked. I never knew they owned 20 year old Dodge pickups.
I think you're jealous of the kids talent!
If he wants to sell that same G wagon , I’ll find $10k for him!! 🤣😂
Love the content!
Man these boys sure do know how to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Now get work taking off that terrible wrap and mess in the back.
Then rear axel upgrade with locker. SAS the front. V6 swap. Manual transmission swap. Gonna take a bit, better get after it.
The little Single Cab Toyota will easy out do any other thing on the trail be the only other one is the Land Rover or a short wheel base Jeep Wrangler for a really tall guy it be too small a Toyota 2.8 L Diesel in it walk walk up the rocks easy peasy lemon squeezy
You guys are hilarious, there is no real challenge to 4 wheeling in high traction dry areas your testing in, try some deep dry sand washes, muskeg and bogs where theres no bottom, wet muddy situations, deep ruts, etc act. Soooo many more 4X4 tests need to be tried before you can claim a vehicle is good or not.
