    Nice build but it should have a dropper post. Even a small drop is better than high posting.

    Interesting coincidence. I'm about 98% done with my own Procaliber SL build (waiting on the 140mm rear rotor I ordered from a company in Utah that is painfully slow with delivery). I too like the anodized accents but went strictly with the black and gold theme. I have some other similarities as well: i9 Hydra hubs, Schwalbe tires (except they're the Racing Ray/Ralph combo), SRAM AXS derailleur and cassette, SRAM crank (XX1 with gold lettering, of course). Conversely, I went with Shimano XTR brakes and a Fox Step cast 32 fork. About the only thing that could be considered "exotic" on my bike is the Selle Italia SLR Boost saddle.
    I've enjoyed both of your Procaliber SL videos and hope it works out well for your customers. I'm looking forward to getting my new dream build out on the trails!

    Hi! I have a 9.8 SL from 2019 and its amazing. Im very surprised that you mounted a 120mm fork instead of 100mm and a rear rotor of 140 instead of 160. Can you explain that to me? Im very curious about bike buildings. Thanks and sorry for my english.

    When you were describing his use case - "I don't know what to call it other than an oversized BMX bike, kind of... Sort of urban mountain biking..." - It hit home. I try to describe my use case for bikes to people at shops and they are very nice but don't ever quite 'get' it because it's not road or xc or trail or 'gravel'. I like a 69-70 head tube angle and a bit twitchy steering and I toss the bike up and down curbs and sidewalk drops constantly. But I don't want a BMX, I'm going 4 or 5 miles a trip. I want a bike that isn't a slog on the road but has a front fork and no slacked-out head tube angle. A fun thing to put miles on and also randomly go off an urban 'feature' if I want.
    I've still have a Hard Rock 26" from 2006 and it's very close to the perfect geometry, but I want 29s and modern drivetrain and for it not to be that heavy. This video is somehow you making my very specific dream bike.

    Can I use a 130mm fork on this frame?

  • @austinjacob99
    @austinjacob99 Рік тому

    I have run into this issue with front axles as well. For whatever reason, the 2020+ SID boost forks use the standard 100mm axle. Can’t fault you for ordering what anyone would think is the correct axle lol

    • @bicyclestation
      @bicyclestation  Рік тому

      Oh wow is that the reason. Bizarre. Does the 120 sid also use a non boost axel as well? I’ll have to test that out.

    • @austinjacob99
      @austinjacob99 Рік тому

      @@bicyclestation thought it was very bizarre when I first encountered it as well. But oddly enough, to my knowledge, all SID forks 2020 and newer take a standard size axle.

    The brand is Slovenian, but the word Björn is Scandiavian (swedish/norweigan) - A "regular" male name, but it also means Bear.
