Very nice. I think I like the oatmeal color the best bc it looks a little bigger/wider w more slouch. Did you I crease your hook size? Was the yarn wider? Was your tension looser? There's definitely a difference.

Love this hat....just went to hobby lobby and got yarn have a beautiful tweed I'm going to use for this hat. It's looks easy enough. Next time I make one need to go up a size on my hook had to make a few adjustments but got it to fit ok. Would of liked it bagger.

Lovely ,anno do you have an Ugly Christmas sweater pattern want to make one but am yet to get a suitable pattern!?
I recommend using a larger needle for the brim. It works much better for more loose stitches.
I have used the hook size which was recommended (4,5) and yarn for that size of hook and my hat turned out to fit a toddler. I will give it as a present to the boy of a friend of mine.
Now I try it again with thicker yarn and 5,5 hook. Hope this will fit my head.
I think it depend on how tight you crochet. My turn out a little small too. I thinks its has to do with the tightness of the stitches. Hope that helps.

I think the rows she uses here in the tutorial are much less than what she used on those presented in the picture. Increase the number of rows

I love the hat, but I find the brim very difficult to do. Do you have any other way to make the brim with just a sc instead of a slip stitch? The hat is coming out beautiful BTW, I love it.
I am not sure about round 6 - the notes says sc in each stitch but you say dc in each stitch and do I make a puff in each puff?

I used aran and hook 4.5 as suggested but it turned out tiny. I will try again with a chunky yarn and bigger hook

I had issues with the size. Too short
The pattern demonstrated is for an adult size? My tension is very tight and it came out rather small. Used a larger size hook and the medium 4 yarn fairly similar. Just adding extra increase rows worked out nicely.

I tried making this hat, the final product is really good. However, the size you have shared in this tutorial does not fit me and the size is a little bit small. Please suggest if I need to make any other adjustments or do I need to change my wool?
Add 3 additional rows .10 stitches between the puff stitch for 2 ŕows .decrease the last row ..should have 8 stitches between the puff .

As I watch your video I realize you crochet much looser than I do! First I used a 4.5 mm hook as in the instructions and the hat came out too small, even for me and I wear child sized hats! I remade the hat using a 5.5 mm and added two pattern rows and two single crochet rows, and it came out slightly loose on me, so it should be good for the person I plan to gift it too.
Beautiful pattern and easy to follow. I just wish there was an easy way to judge the finished size! (Another person whose patterns I make I need to go down a hook size!)

Hi, im a bit confused here, at round 6 u said: there is no increase at all so i got 9 DC in between the puff stitch then carry on to round 7: make 6 DC in the next st 2DC so we ll get 8 st in between puff st, how come end up 9 st???

Hi I believe row 6 goes like this: ch3 then crochet 7more double crochet then puff stitch. (8DC, puff)
Lets summarize:
1st round: magic cycle then 17 dc
2nd round: 3ch 1 dc 1pf st (2dc 1 pf st)
3rd round: 3ch 5dc 1pf st (6dc in between 1pf st)
4th round: 3ch 7dc 1pf st (8dc in between 1pf)
5th round: 3ch 8dc 1pf st (9dc in between 1pf)
6th round: 3ch 9 ( no increase)
7th round: 3ch 6dc then 2dc = 8 dc as round 6 already got 9 dc then how about the next stitch before the puff st?
Remember that the beginning chain 3 counts as a double crochet. You don make a double crochet on the space next to the puff stitch. Watch her video carefully, i think that’s why your count is off.
