As someone who grew up near and dear to my grand mother she would sew me beautiful Indian wear for my birthdays and embrioder each piece with such detail. She would also sew me frocks which I still wear. She still stores those pieces from childhood and I don't know how to show it to her but I REALLY LOVE HER for doing that. ❤

so sweet and heartwarming for your mom to make clothing for you and i'm so glad she still does! my mom used to make clothes for my sisters when they were young and these days i ask her for help making adjustments to my existing clothes when she can. she likes to sew but we don't have a place in our home for her to set up a work space and she also works full-time. considering her interest and skill i hope that one day, if it is so, that i can help my mom have a space to create at her leisure. what a wonderful thing to share, i can tell that each piece, even in the presentation and packaging, is filled with your mom's love and passion. so amazing :)
Your mom should totally start a channel teaching her sewing process , I'm an amateur when it comes to sewing so someone so talented would be a dream to learn from . Eitherway i wish you both the best

My mom had stopped sewing/knitting as much by the time I was born, but she helped me learn (it’s now part of my career!) and passed on several of her handmade pieces from high school and university. I hope one day that I’ll have kids of my own to make clothes for and watch them develop their own styles and identities
my mom also have sewing hobby, and she make tons of craftworks for our home. she has her own unique style so all her quilt projects aren’t viewed as “pretty” in other people perspective, but i love her works so much. thank you so much for making this video, sharing this lovely story with us

When I was 5 or 6, I needed a fairy costume for my class play, but we didn’t have the time to shop for one. So my grandma found a bunch of lance, ribbons and butterfly decals to sew on one of my favourite purple dresses, 14 years later I still have it in my closet :)
My mum used to make everything herself when I was young. She not only made me and my older sister clothes, she made her clothes, curtains, piano covers etc. I miss those days.

You've inspired me to explore the concept of return to childhood favorites when it comes to style. It seems somehow certain elements of what we loved as a kid resurface when we're adults and find ways to implement themselves into our style - I used to love ballet skirts and pretty dresses as a toddler, and I still do.
haha we are like the same person! my mum made my entire wardrobe until i was around 4, then i begun wearing a uniform from ages 4-17 and now idk how im gonna find clothes i actually like for uni!! i should consider this haha, she's amazing at sewing
