I had a good amount of cars and trucks over the years and this Camry SE brings me back to my younger years, but I have to read the book with all the technology in this ride…….Life is Good!
I would choose the Camry LE. Interestingly the MSRP on the Corolla is now more than the MSRP on my 2010 Camry LE was 12 years ago. Still goes strong with 190,000 miles.
I went with the Corolla LE but with the alloy wheels and all the upgraded safety things. A bit over 19k it was 26k for the cheapest Camry and offered no extra features. Didn’t need the bigger car. Choice was easy

I just helped my daughter get a Corolla LE yesterday. NO option packages. The only thing I wish it had was the Blind Spot Monitors and the Cross Traffic Alert. However, We only had to wait one month do take delivery. Pretty good in todays 'Car World'. The Corolla is the next best thing to getting a Hybrid. My daughter was driving a 2009 Jeep Liberty with 175K on it. So many things were not working correctly. And of course horrible gas mileage. Jeep's are just crap in my opinion. Getting her a Corolla is a fine vehicle that should last her for 10-15 years with proper maintenance. She is so happy and was a bit surprised her Mom & Dad chipped in to help her out.

Jeff, This one is easy, Camry all the way. Remember folks, when it comes to monthly car payments: LEss is more 😁Car & Driver got 40 mpg highway with the Corolla and 45 mpg with the Camry. With today's gas prices, 5 mpg really adds up. For city driving, Hybrid is the way to go.
@@rightlanehog3151 car and driver is a terrible legacy rag. Camry gets similar highway numbers real world but with the 5-6k minimum price increase, Corolla will still be the more economical choice. Both are very reliable.

I was going to get a Corolla XSE 6 speed hatchback but after more research, the 2021 Camry SE is what I ended up with. More interior space and capable of getting 40mpg highway (averaging 33 mpg combined, about 24mpg during winter) is the factors that made my decision. Should compare a Toyota Camry le and a corolla xle because the size and price is more similar. I’ve been looking for such a video on UA-cam and can’t find one.
Corolla all the way! I drive a long way to and from work. 7 days a week. It’s beautiful, big enough for me and two other people. Fun to drive. Sporty looking. I love it so much. I got the 2020 though. Does anyone know if there’s a difference in body styles between the 2020 vs 2022 corolla?
Hi Jeff, I'm with Camry. I would not pass on either vehicle. The question that come to mind is Do bears poop in the woods? Of course they do. What about trees? ... Thats were we get #2 pencils. :) Watching from Westchester Co New York. :)
I think the latest generation Camry is the best looking, non-luxury sedan you can buy. I like the lines from all angles -- the front, back, and side, all look pleasing to the eye. It also gets excellent mpg for a family size sedan, pretty much on par with the Corolla. As for the price difference, I would just get a one or two year old, low mileage Camry. I would save much of the upfront cost difference, and reap the benefits of a larger (and heavier--read safer) vehicle, with better views (all around) , a nicer (and more interesting) interior, and a regular automatic --damn those CVTs!
Its 2022 and yet Toyota couldn’t solve the wind noise. Others have gone for double-glazing on their vehicles. My advice is to test the car before buying it.
I prefer a hatch back for more cargo space with seats folded down. Why no test on hatchback style with 6 spd. Manual? Don't want any car with CVT AUTO TRANS. 8 SPD auto OK ON CAMRY BUT CAMRY DOESNT COME IN HATCHBACK. USA SPEC COROLLA DOESNT COME STANDARD WITH BLINDSPOT WARNING SYSTEM SO THAT'S A DEAL BREAKER.
