It's such a joy to see you back. I still have my BuJo from 2019 with your stickers and the note you sent me. I'm always brought to a happier place when I look back on those notes. Keep up the great work, Matt.
So excited to have you back, both for your BuJo content AND for your new style content. Looking forward to your book recommendations and any faith related content you put out!:)
I just signed up for email. I had you in email, but have not seen any. I thought maybe was dropped. Anyway, I really like "Dadvent", though not a dad, but single mom. I like hearing/reading a man's perspective on prominent issues and ideas. Thank you for being here again.
I've enjoyed your videos and am glad to see you back. I'm especially happy to know you are a brother in Christ! I'm signed up for the daily (d)advent readings and have figured out Slack too.😬 See you there!
HAPPY December, Matt! I love to hear what other people are reading. Also, how much time do you devote to each of your RJME habits each day? (Maybe a video on that?)
Good video, and love the basics of bullet journaling. However, my ADHD I do better with already dated calendars. I am trying a new one next year, that has a monthly and weeklies set up. I do not get into all this pretty planning, because then I could spend money I do not have, and spend time with productive procrastination. I am listening to The Name of the Wind. I enjoy it, but then I get scared of something bad will happen and have to switch to reading. I can be really empathetic about characters. I hope that you do not jump all over the author about his third book, a lot of people believe they are entitled to things ,and do not realize that the person could have died after the first book, just learn to be patient and maybe it will come. Plus I love his style, he will just block you if you scream at him about when the next book will come out.
The left side of my monthly looks like yours, probably because it was inspired by you. 😊 The right side is a brain dump of errands, shopping list, tasks, etc. I, too, have no problem knowing I'll read on any given day 😊
I'd like to see someone doing the Bullet Journal method with a 'real job'. I get more tasks coming and going off my lists in an hour than all these BJ 'influencers" jot down in the course of a month long period.
With a task list that fluid, I wouldn’t recommend the bullet journal as a primary task manager. I keep most of my tasks in ClickUp and only put the most important ones in the BuJo.
I work in a fast paced engineering environment with tasks, needs and requests coming at me fairly consistently. I use a weekly bujo spread with my daily meeting agenda and daily highlights on the left side and an astair style rolling task list on the right side. 2 colors of ink to differentiate personal and work entries and some space for notes and priorities. I definitely don't use the bujo for all tasks but mainly for those that come at me from face-to-face convos, meetings, weekly routines and day-to-day operational stuff. Most things that come through digitally are tracked through Outlook flags but sometimes with written reminders in my bujo to prioritize them. I'll try and get a pic later this weekend.
I’m in the Army and I’m serving a broadening assignment as a Career Manager for 800+ officers. I currently use a BuJo on a daily basis along side the Reminders app on iOS. I put everything into my BuJo - tasks, meeting notes, phone calls, etc. Even future tasks that will go into my task manager app. I think it works well. Admittedly, I’m toying with the idea of moving to something different/more structured. I’m starting to find the set up more cumbersome/time consuming. But, I think a normal job is doable in a BuJo.
I work as a system administrator. While I don’t use mine to track everything because I work with multiple teams, I do use my journal to track quite a lot. I find it easier to use for daily tasks, brainstorm for projects, take notes during meetings, and keep an easy view at deadlines and meetings. I have to use ClickUp for the teams I work with, as it’s what my company currently leverages… I just use my journal to track what I’m working on “now”, and refer to the App for any shared view projects and updates. Sometimes that involves redundancy, but it’s never too bad.

I think it's so cool you are involved with a Dad's group. Dads deserve support too. Keep up the good work. Love all your content and welcome back as I had been wondering about ya for a while now. I'm glad all is well with ya. Take care.
Praise the Lord! Not a man or a dad, lol, but such an awesome initiative! And yessss. Wise Man's Fear is phenomenal... Oh how I long for that last book!
Hi Matt. This is a very timely subject for me. As we close out the year soon, I'm looking for a new layout because the classic bullet journal monthly was hard for me to settle into. I rarely got the right level of detail ... seems like I either had a mostly blank spread, or a cluttered mess. I am trying out a "sprint spread" which for me at work is a two week interval starting on Wednesday (weird, I know but because holidays and other planning meetings usually take up a Monday, that gives a higher percentage of sprint reviews on Tuesdays...) Your GAP/WRAP methods tie in nicely with the sprint planning meetings, and I might as well align my personal and work cycles, right?
Woooohhh!! I was like checking on your channel last two weeks ago. I missed your BuJo videos. I setup mine just like yours. Interested in your Dadvent too
Super thrilled I stumbled across your channel. I was looking at Bullet Journal, again, and watched a past video you had done. Now I am glancing through some of your current material and I am very much looking forward to your start-up or reboot with videos. Appreciate what you are doing.
Dude. Happy to have you back and so excited you shared about your faith. Totally signing up for the daily dadvent 🤘🏻

What does your monthly layout look like in a bullet journal? Or in anything else :) How do you plan?
The left side of my monthly looks like yours, probably because it was inspired by you. 😊 The right side is a brain dump of errands, shopping list, tasks, etc. I, too, have no problem knowing I'll read on any given day 😊
Echoing @KinlgonPrincess, left side is the same monthly log for the same reason but the right is a full page habit, daily commute and chore tracker.

Such a good book. I just finished it myself a couple months ago.
