What an awesome piece of kit! Well done dude :)
Thanks Jimmy. Appreciated :)
Jimmy Broadbent hey jimmy
i would buy the wheel if it was in retail. i just dont have equipment like a 3d printer
Hello jimmy!
What an awesome project. I love the wooden grips, they add a bit of an old-school touch that I haven't seen done before.
Thanks. We got the idea from a wheel Sam Maxwell made for Barry Rowland from Sim Racing Garage.
As a sim-racer and industrial electrician, I'm truly impressed with your ingenuity and craftsmanship! Beautiful work that you should be proud to use and show off. (Your mate's wheel was cool as well). I hope to some day graduate from console racing so that I can take on projects like this. Very inspiring sir.
Thanks, I appreciate that:)
This took some serious skill and patience, well done. That wheel is a work of art.
What a fantastic result!! This is one of the many reasons I love our hobby, seeing what others can pull off!
Hats off and thumbs up!
I completely agree. So many guys out there building wheels which are even better. The scene must have grown immensely recently. At least if you go by the number of places where you can buy one of these wheels. Couple of years ago it was maybe five, now there are probably 20, 30 or more. Great stuff.
It look fantastic Martin, hopefully see you out on the track soon!
Stumbling upon your channel via SimRacingSystem, I decided to subscribe because of the relatively rare videos and I liked your laid back style of commentating. Although I realized your rig isn't straight from the shelf, I wasn't really prepared for this video. So much effort you put into this. Absolutely stunning work, and congratulations on the result.
Thanks a lot. I used to upload more regularly but not enough time anymore. Nevertheless, glad you liked the video. There's a whole playlist on my channel with videos about my sim cockpit and all the modifications. Check it out :)
Superb work Martin, talented artist, enjoy the new toy!
UNBELIEVABLE!!! What a beautiful wheel. Would love to have one , but just labor involved would be thousands of US dollars. Well done!!!
I love the retro look the wood brings with the modern look of the carbon fibre and dials etc... mega job
Don't know if I've ever seen a bigger or better effort on something of this nature. Congratulations
Thanks:)
It's amazing how satisfying it is to simply sit and watch an amazing craftsman go to work and produce art like that! I am quite amazed at your achievement. Incredibly well done, sir! I can't believe I sat through 20+ minutes of super sped up content... 9 months, huh? Unbelievable amount of work =). Be proud!
Thank you, very kind. It's good to hear that you guys enjoy watching the video. Makes all of this even more rewarding :)
Dude, that is some serious dedication to a project, lol. Well done.
Fantastic job Martin, I was waiting for your new video for a long time and that was totally worth waiting for.
Thanks
Incredible job! I can't believe your patience and perseverance. When you made the aluminum "spacer" for the thumbwheel, I though to myself, this is my kind of guy! Again, well done on a beautiful and unique piece of art.
Thank you very much:)
Wow... what a masterpiece! Love your commitment and dedication on this one.
Thanks
Good to have you back again Martin, and a really nice job with the wheel, I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it. :)
Oh yes, it's fantastic.
Amazing wheel, loving those handles.
You have amazing talent and patience! Well done and thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot.
Incredible looking result. ☺
I love the wooden handles, it adds a lot of personality and contrast to the wheel, haha.
I'm a huge fan of your setup (and driving ability) and you always outdo yourself. The end result here is beautiful. Your craftsmanship is excellent, Martin, and this was highly enjoyable to watch. The other wheel looks really cool too! Be careful with that hot glue though haha.
Thanks mate
Wow. Worth every minute invested in making it.
Wow man, that's such a cool wheel, well done.
Amazing job, Martin. I ooo’d loudly at finished result!
Thanks Jonathan
gorgeous looking wheel, very well done mate
Nice project!
It turned out pretty good!
You have out done yourself sir!! Taking your time and paying attention to detail is the quality of a true master at work. Props to you and that awesome wheel. Also that guy that gave you the thumbs down is a ding dong.
Oh don't worry about him. I think that's one guy always doing that whenever I release a new video. Sometimes even so early he couldn't even have watched the video ;)
Nice to have a fan...
Thanks
What a Beautiful wheel! Is sick how low it took you to made it, I'm sure it worth it, Well done mate

Wow, amazing piece of DIY kit. Great job! The wood grips turned out so well, the finished product is stunning. Do you ever just get distracted, admiring your own work, while trying to race? haha
Haha. Damn, missed my brake marker...;)
Awesome work.
I can't imagine how much satisfaction it can be to race with your own babie wheel :D
True. But you always end up thinking about stuff you would make better next time;)
Yeah I call it perfectionism, but be careful, beacause (at least in France ;) ) we usually say that "the better is the enemy of good"
You sir, are simply amazing. Fantastic.
Man, this handles in wood. So nice to see 🥰 well done my friend
Thank you:)
Congrast! Ferrari will jealous you right now! Looking awesome man!
Thanks :)
Martin, don't play with 'guns'. You are just hurting yourself, keep at handling steering wheels :-D . Great work! Excellent result!

Outstanding!!!! Great work Martin!!!!

Amazing amazing amazing. You've even inspired me to learn FreeCAD and model my own formula rim. Gonna 3D print it pretty soon, hope it holds up on my 10nm DD wheel that I don't even have yet :/
Great :) I also learned it by doing with this mod. Powerful piece of software. Let me know how it turns out. Good luck
Awesome project and it came out fantastic, and funny with the glue :-)
Thanks :)
Haha, die Potis im Holz... Junge... Blew my mind.
Well done amazing!
Great looking wheel.
Amazing work mate! and a good video too!

Haha wow thrustmasters rats nest of a wiring job hey! Would have been faster to start from scratch.. it truly blows my mind how many shortcuts that company takes. Such a good job cleaning that up, even better job with the wheel itself, very impressed! Respect, keep doing your thing man
amazing mate
I mean, your wheel is really cool, but your friend's is MAGNIFICENT
I agree. It's perfect.
Just amazing 😍😍😍😍👍
Really impressive! I think I would've given up after the disassembly!... make it midway through the disassembly.
:D thanks
Looks nice bro, i would have just sprayed painted the metal to matt black instead of the carbon stickers, same for the shifters. Felt it made it look a lil cheap. But great wheel.
WOW nice job
Not even 500 likes! Unbelievable! Both wheels are masterpieces!
Thanks:)
Wow, just Wow !
Wow nice job.
shimano pro seat clamp for quicl release nice!!
I’ve been sitting here slack jawed at the craftsmanship, and then actually laughed out loud when he loses to a glue gun around 15:05 😂🤣😂🤣😂
