I wish I didn't have asthma. I've had to go to hospital before covid from not being able to breath. Otherwise I wouldn't be afraid. It's a catch-22 because seems people are better off if they get covid-19 but in my case it would be too risky.
Maybe not. You'd probably struggle a bit, but, if your asthma is well-controlled, you take Paxlovid, etc, I'd bet you'd get through it. Talk with your provider
So glad you are doing well & happy with how things have turned out! I am still working on getting back to full life and have made some progress, but am definitely having to do it slower than you were able to. I have loved seeing your journey, so thank you again for sharing. Did you have any brain fog from COVID? Also, would you say that you're feeling physically 100% back to normal now?
I have no brain fog (at least no more than I had previously lol), and yes, I feel 100% back to normal. I have also had blood work done since, and it's all normal. Be well
I can’t believe my husband and I tested positive for Covid yesterday after a weekend away to Atlantic City. We tried to enjoy the weekend without masks but there were crowded hotel elevators etc. I feel the same as last time I had Covid in spring 2022. Bad cold and sore throat, more upper respiratory. I am wondering if I should report the results of the test, although I don’t see any way to do it anymore. I don’t feel I need a doctors visit. I want to go back to normal too but now this is changing things for me. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Can't understand why that is surprising. We are still in the middle of a global pandemic regardless of what other people are doing. It only takes a few minutes without masks, even if you used it other times.
Curious as to your choice of Enovid over Taffix? And with mitigation, are you back to going to the gym and if so, do you use a mask? I am trying to get out and back to normal, but the gym still trips me up. Thanks for providing your personal experience and guidance!
Enovid is just easier to use. Taffix is a powder, and it doesn't come out in even amounts each time. It can also be messy. I think it's a good product, but I find Enovid easier to use. I go to a small gym where the owner installed a HEPA filtration system. I don't mask,. But I think I'd even go back to a regular gym at this point. I know it's hard to decide how to get back. Maybe start with one thing. Have u had covid? If not, maybe talk to your provider about having Paxlovid ready to go. That's what I did. Be well.
Did those of you taking Paxlovid have to stop or adjust any medications, such as cholesterol and/or blood pressure meds, blood thinners etc. , and how did that affect you? Thanks.
I got my antibodies tested by walking in to an express clinic, because BCBS said they covered the test; they sent the vial of blood to Quest diagnostics. My Quest results were: SARS COV 2 AB (IGG) SPIKE, SEMI QN >150.00 H Reference Range:
So glad you’re out and about! Gotta get out there!

@@SandysDIYHealthAdvocacyI have asthma. I had COVID. I'm still here! It was scary, I had some worried symptoms but Paxlovid helped me.

@@SandysDIYHealthAdvocacy thank you so much! Hearing examples of everything going well is so helpful!

Maybe consider Paxlovid

Both my parents took Paxlovid and had to stop taking blood thinner meds (for afibs). They were both fine being off of it for 5 days.
I did and it was short lived and just fine. May 2022~

Was this the same test you did Sandy?
