He's not just fast, but melodic, musical, inventive, and orginal. Beautiful phrases played slowly, and then blistering precision rips with unexpected choices. This guys is mindblowing in many dimensions. It is such a treat to listen to his playing.

you should check guthrie Govan. The guy is 3x his age and was doing this stuff years before. Still, he's a phenomenon in and of hi.self. So, big kudos to Matteo too.
Mancuso is like, "I paid for the whole guitar, I'm going to use the whole guitar." ☝️
Only the fingerstyle guitarists use the whole guitar.. Including as drums

Matteo, words are too weak to praise this piece, probably the best I've ever heard you play - you're getting better every year, having inherited the best from great guitarists and shredders of all generations, that experience is converging in your playing, it's absolutely mind-blowing to hear this kind of music coming from a guitar. God has given you a lot, son. Cherish this gift and keep sharing it with the world.
God hasn't given him anything. He's worked hard for his. Don't take any of his credit away and give it to "god" lol.
@@Cheximus it's so easy to throw the god card down when something incredible happens or something becomes unexplainable.
At this point it seems impossible for Matteo to get better than he has been for the past several years but while i was watching this i felt his touch has reached perfection. Paco de Lucia was the only other one that i felt that way. LLM long live Matteo 🎶💜

His ascending passages are mind boggling. He's a master at interjecting something unexpected in his phrasing as he climbs up the fret board. And so clean.

That passage at the end, played with such blistering speed and precision. Even at pace, Matteo never loses his core melodic capability. Amazing.

Incredible! He sits there in his roll neck sweater, looking like he's about to sit an accountancy exam and then he gives us two minutes of musical transcendence that leave you with your jaw on the floor, vowing you've never heard such exquisite mastery in all your born days.

Matteo is the Glenn Gould of the guitar. His articulation is the cleanest I've ever heard. It's amazing. Not to mention amazing phrasing and note choice. The complete package. Can't wait to see (and hear!) where he goes in his career.
I saw an older video and I was put off by how perfect it sounded.....but this is.....great! There is still room for more imperfection though...

I have played guitar since about 12 yrs old, I'm 50, in 2010 I started getting very bored and kinda ehh with playing, fell out with the band, none of it there fault, I just got stuck. Now I discovered you my friend, I haven't picked up a guitar in 10 yrs, your style makes so much sense, gives me something new to learn, your unreal bro

This is sublime, there are no words to describe how unbelievable this chap is. Hard working. One of of not the best electric guitar player currently around.
If only Matteo ever made a video analyzing his solo and explaining his thought process. That would be the most epic lesson.
Start transcribing, man. It would be a ton of work, but well worth the effort at the end of it.

The changes pass slowly so it's not super astro physics like Giant Steps. He just follows them with shred patterns using usually a single device. Not that it's easy to do, but it's possible to understand how to go about it. What's unusual is fusing metal phrasing over jazz/fusion chords.
For sure one of the best in the world at this time.

Simply cause he's NOT a bedroom guitarist. He plays live concerts, record works, played with bands and famous artists like Di Meola, Steve vai, PFM, and many others. And his career Is starting now

I more closely meant that in a world where unbelievable virtuoso guitarists are a dime a dozen, Matteo stands heads and shoulders above them.
I just meant to emphasize that the guitar market is so incredibly oversaturated with outstanding players, most of whom are in their bedroom.
I am well aware of Matteo's impressive track record and his trajectory promising to be nothing short of legendary.

@@TheOfficialCaseMade I think Lenny Kravitz even is better listen to the riff and rhythm work on MaMa said such feel groove and heart better than Slash on that track and that is the best Slash ever. Jeff Beck was the only one I heard play super flash with heart. This has great technique but he is too mental for me. Not heartfelt and emotional and raw enough. A bit sterile and calculated.

Super fast but it's not a mechanical thing like a robot or something..He plays with FEELING, something a lot of players can't (or don't) do..
