Learning To Skate A Pump Track (With No Experience)

- Today I'm learning how to skateboard on a pump track. Pump tracks are not typically designed for skateboarders (especially beginners) but I'm going to try it out with no experience. Let's do it!
I'm a very beginner skateboarder living in Colorado and learning how to ride a pump track made me progress faster than any other obstacle I've ever skated! I learned how to drop in on a skateboard and figured out how to pump to gain speed! Definitely wear a helmet when skateboarding on a pump track because I fell... a lot. Hopefully this video inspired you to start learning how to skateboard! Like and subscribe for more skate vlogs, skate progression, and videos that have nothing to do with skateboarding haha.

How to skatebaord
Just found your video as I’m searching for pump tracks to skate for the first time. Watching you skate on a pump track wasn’t awkward! It was MUCH appreciated. I’m late to this, but thank you for creating this video! (:
Aww thanks so much :) really appreciate it!!
Nice, don't let anyone hate, we all started somewhere. This is a solid improvement. Going into the bank, start higher, and you won't have to lift your front trucks as much.
On your last pass you had good speed, but lost the momentum by starting low. You can see the moment you lost momentum when you went up the bank.
You should totally try it on a banana board with modern trucks (oh wait... maybe not)
Solid feedback! I knew I was doing something wrong with the banks!! Much appreciated :)
This is the 'Problem No. 1' for all beginner on pump. Overcome your fear and not go to flat and direct into the bank. Otherwise at the exit BOTH (Bank and Curve) come right at you. Basically driving into a wall. Nothing can happen to you if you go in steeper with a bit speed, the forces 'press' you right into the asphalt and the bank does all the turning for you. Just stay with good balance upright in relation to on whatever you stand (not lean in so much as for a turn on flat) I hope are still having fun on the tracks and that some other can learn from your improvements and Brians top feedback. Actually I just learn to skate myself, but I am good with inline skates on those tracks.
Just saw your comment, thank you so much! Still at it and actually just got back from skating! Crazy how far I’ve come since posting this video - I’m doing kickflips and could absolutely fly around this track now. Definitely need to go back!
Towards the end you got pretty good at it man. Well done
Thanks man!!
Those egg bites are my favorite thing at Starbucks! I get them with the peppers
I’m gonna have to try this on rollerblades!
I started skating (longboard) like 2 months ago, and this was pretty much how i felt first time on a pump track. I dropped in, fell, dropped in again, and 30 min. later i could go halfway around. Appreciate the vid. Wishing you success in whatever you’re doing now
Really appreciate it! Good luck on the longboard :)
Really nice to watch, its good to see you're just doing it. I'm also a beginner.
That’s awesome, skating is one of the most rewarding skills ever! Thanks for watching!
I want to try a pump track! I wish they had one in jersey
Next time I’m coming with!
I know you sold all your things, but we'd love a skating update.
Didn’t sell the skateboards :) might have to make another skate video soon but there’s a foot of snow on the ground right now haha!
Will definitely try to work skating back into my videos somehow though!
Nice video. But you gotta’ pump dude!
Should I try it on a longboard next time?
As long as it doesn't bottom out*
Hey where do you live and that's not to be weird but it's because I found you off of instagram so idk if it's because I follow skate stuff or because your in my area and if this place is in my area I need to go there asap
It’s in Broomfield, Colorado. Just called Broomfield Pump Track on Google Maps!!
I’m not hating but do you know how to pump?
At the time I had no idea - this was probably during my first 2 months of owning a skateboard lol! I’ve been skating for a few years at this point and would love to come back to this pump track and really shred it!
