Kamelot's new video Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy) featuring Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) is here! From KAMELOT's new album HAVEN available now on Napalm/Universal/ADA. The video takes off where Kamelot's Insomnia video ends and takes the listener into the outside environment of this dystopian world. Where the citizen is zero and only the privileged live in a lavish lifestyle. Surveillance over society is everywhere, even a fly on the wall can be the watching eyes of the Monarchy. Only a Revolution will make a change!

Alissa's clean vocals is really what Arch Enemy needs. Considering that there music is very melodic clean vocals won't be out of place.
if MTV still played videos and actual music, this song would be a worldwide hit.
Stopping by 7 years later to say this is still one of my favorite songs. Such a great combo.
Honestly when Alissa started doing clean vocals it scared me because I thought she was just gonna do the growls and it was unexpected to me

Goodness... Alyssa's cleans have gotten even better since her Agonist days.

its nice to hear Alissa White-Gluz's regular voice once in a while, i love her death metal voice, but its still nice to hear that she can not only sing death metal, but regular songs as well
I personally like her, and the old singer equally....but you are entitled to your opinion....as am I, and imo, i like her regular singing....but you are right, arch enemy is not the band for her to do regular singing
well she's not bad but whenever i listen to both singers i always enjoy Angela more. specially on live and on the old song.

That was badass. Man...Alyssa's voice could freeze molten lava, melt the north pole or make crying babies sleep peacefully. UNBELIEVABLE. Other than her, Kamelot is as good as ever...and I didn't think that I'd ever say that with Roy gone...but there it is.
Not gonna lie. I'm an Alissa fan-boy. I came here for Alissa. BUT HOLY SHIT I THINK I FOUND MY NEW FAVORITE BAND THIS IS AMAZING. I FEEL SO MUCH SHAME NOT KNOWING ABOUT THESE GUYS BEFORE.
And might I add, Alissa sounds really different. Like. Really different. Those cleans are so different from The Agonist and the small slither she has so far in Arch Enemy.

Kamelot has been around for a while, this album is recent but they started in the mid to late 90s if I remember correctly, part of the big wave of Power Metal going on at that time, when the genre really solidified as something distinct from classic/traditional heavy metal and speed metal.
Alissa reminds me Kerrigan from Starcraft II
All the real music should be back on MTV. We need honest original music like this back on the channels again
Tommy Karevik is not only an exceptional vocalist with a heavenly and amazing voice. He also delivers his performance in such a theatrical way that just adds so much to the video.

Always loved beauty and the beast bands, but it's kinda cool to see the guy doing the clean vocals for once haha. I do think it'd be really cool to do a full Arch Enemy/Kamelot crossover type thing though.

"up to eleven" ;-)) features in every instrument, so I'd say it's more a good mix: free human expression amplified by non-obtrusive tech, leading to a powerful style. Classic music on its side is probably much more about real instruments. Anyway, we both love metal for its profound and strong human aspect.

check out her stuff with The Agonist if you havent yet. she mixes both. really hope Arch Enemy works it into their next album. She got amazing range, my newest favorite female vocalist
KadSkirata She has said in interviews that she wants to keep the Arch Enemy sound pure, which is why she doesn't use the cleans.

Two great vocalists, really enjoyed this one, Alissa's clean solo section really brought the song to a whole new level.

It´s a really great masterpiece. A very fantastic song with full of melodies and an amazing chorus. Great musicians and a great singer. Alissa White-Gluz is also a great singer. She is a great guest of this fantastic song. Great singers. They are some of the best singers in the rock/metal scene. I love this song :-).
If you want more of Alissa's cleans listen to when she was in The Agonist. Her range is quite amazing
