I'm a 72-year old man cooking green beans for the first time so you really helped me out and I love to hear you talk and your good advice. Will tune in again soon thanks John
@@ApronstringsGayJordan thanks!! Didn't know you were from Texas my mom was from San Angelo. The green beans turned out good I didn't have any bacon so I used some ham I also threw in some squash I had cut up seasoning in chicken broth and cooked it for about an hour-and-a-half once it got the boil I turned it down low and it was real good. Thanks a lot talk to you soon, John
That looks delicious Gay. I would eat them on their own as well because of the yum flavour. The stock that was left I would be drinking like soup in a mug lol, that's why I love bone broth too. I love things added to vegetables to make them even tastier. When I cook carrots, I only lightly steam them, drain them, add a big dob of butter to the pot, then breadcrumbs and parsley and brown up then add the carrots back in to be coated, it is delicious. To steamed or baked sweet potato the white flesh one, I add Philly cream cheese to spread over the top and it is a combo of savouy and sweet. I had that last night. . . yummo!! Michelle
💚💚This is just what I was looking for. I just harvested a big bunch of green beans from my garden. I can see from your page we have similar tastes. I love to cook and make UA-cam videos like your I hope we can learn more from each other. Thank you for your inspiration for tonight’s dinner! Thank
I love your videos. Wake up every morning checking my notifications just to watch, learn, and write down your recipes. And I love your southern accent, so warm and inviting. Thank you.
@@ApronstringsGayJordan that's why I love watching you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your kitchen, your wisdom, and your beautiful friendly, caring atmosphere.
I followed your recipe and cooked it for my dad and he been talking about these beans for 2 days. He said it reminded him of how his mom cooked it as a child.
Drea Love Thank you for telling me!!!❤️❤️❤️. Makes it so worthwhile sharing recipes when y’all use them and enjoy the finished dish!!!! Have a blessed day! 😍😍BTW. you can cook most any vegetable the same way. Especially greens!
Thank you so much for your video. Just bought fresh green beans at the Amish. I've watched my mom and my grandma make them I have not done it once. Wish me luck
Thank you for your video. We put ours in the pressure cooker. We grow our own green beans each year. When we run out of our green beans, Hanover brand canned green beans have very good flavor or we buy frozen green beans.
Thank you for watching! I love to can my own green beans.....but....this year the deer ate them all, and, I wont be caning any unless the store puts them on sale really cheap! I was so sad.
@@ApronstringsGayJordan Sorry to hear. That happens. We put up an electric fence this year and a deer still manages to hop over it. We also buy fresh green beans when we can after ours are picked and freeze them. I'd rather buy from the grower. My husband likes them the way you cook them, but the the rest of us like them long and bake them in the oven with olive oil, salt and pepper or pan fried. 😊 My daughter started baking the carrots this way in the oven. With just a bit of Olive oil, salt & pepper. They come out real nice and the fresh flavor remains.
Just found your channel, I'm hooked!! We started a garden and a UA-cam channel this month. I'd love to see your garden and get some knowledge from you on how to grow good food. Loving the videos, keep em coming!!
Troy has planted peas and green beans for fall. Our okra is doing wonderful. We live in Texas zone 9. Several things I plan to plant have to wait until Oct. ( greens) I will check our your channel!!!!
I just recently started watching. Linda from Linda's Pantry sent me. I love your recipes and your inspirational messages. You are very comforting and I look forward to sharing many of your dishes with my family also. The green beans look delish, can't wait to make some. Thank you for sharing.
I love green beans as ! I planted green beans about two weeks ago, I’m hoping that they do well enough for me to can ! I live in MI so our growing season has just started, but this year we had to wait even longer due to the rain!

My husband loves green beans and I know this would be extra special dish to make with green beans. Keep on making utube videos. Like to know what state we are watching your utube from. I love fresh veggies, and, they are so easy to prepare. My garden is pitiful. The rain has taken a toll on it. I will try to clean it up some and let yall see it. Thank you so much for using the recipes....and keeping n watching!!!
Try bread and butter sandwich with slice of raw onion with fresh green beans. Hope you like it. If cook few new little red potatoes in the beans, makes for a meal all it's own. Yum!
I'm not sure. Probably about an hour or so . They will turn a darker color green and be tender to eat.( more like the color of store bought canned green beans. Just let them simmer along with a lid on them....for an hour...making sure your juice doesn't evaporate out....taste and cook more if needed!!! There is no comparison to fresh and commercially canned.....the taste is off the charts!!! Thank you so much for watching!!!! God bless you!!

Green beans on steroids, yummy, it's getting to be that time. I sent the pickle recipe today, they are delicious, makes a quart, try it if you like them, double/triple, but I just do a quart because I am the only one who eats them, (unless my kids are here) it takes 3 weeks for them to be ready, but worth the wait.
Oh....thank you. I picked 4 cucumbers today from my bed. I will be ready to make my quart!!!! My beans in the greenstalk look amazing! I cant wait to cook from my own little back yard garden!
After everything is in the pot....simmer, covered.... for about 30 -45 minutes.....or until as tender and soft as you like. Some like them more crisp. I like mine soft.
Thank you for watching. My channel is an invite into my kitchen as though you are actually here....conversation and all. If this isn't your style...I understand. If you cook this with the carmalized onion option, do you still include the onion powder?
