- Hello, my dear audio friends! A friend of mine encouraged me recently to check out latest versions of Acon Digital restoration tools. I've tried them once, when they were early versions, but now... iZotope RX devs should be really afraid of this. Enjoy!

The Acon deverberate really surprised me at how clean it sounded.

I got Acoustica 7.x because I was priced out of RX. Not only did the change have a positive effect on my work, it also had a positive effect on my bottom line just by using something not overpriced. It's not that RX isn't good, it's that, dollar for dollar, Acoustica is just as powerful. And for all the live-location footage I have to work with, DeVerberate 3 is worth its weight in gold.
Heeey, guys! What do you think about Acon Digital suite? Would you give it a go? Or you'll stick to RX? Maybe you're using something else? Lemme know down below!
I definitely use Acon Acoustica Premium + Deverberate 3. iZotope has stopped some time ago and I ignored 10th version of RX (nothing special in my opinion). Acoustica Premium has many, many effects (also in VST format for use in another editors/DAWs), spectral editor and de-composing tools for extract stems :)
The Acon tools are really good! I'm love their DeVerberate3 - not just for restauration, but also for drying up tracks if needed. A great tool! And I'm still on RX6. Haha 😂
DeVerberate is absolutely marvelous, nothing better out there...

I love their work /just a hobbyist/ - their sound editor ACON Acoustica in its premium version actually comes with all the plugins... and simple straight registration and installation, super responsive team! And as somebody, who only does his own home recordings, I am able to use pretty much all of them. Spectral Denoising using their brush is for me also much easier compared to the RX.
Thanks Paul! i was about to biy acon , but what i need most is delclick and mouthdelick - and my experience in this case was RX was better in declicking - Deverberate 100% Acon and also a + for Acon on denoise. But in some cases i found clarity better.
I haven't tried de-clicking yet, but I will do it soon. Thanks for letting me know, I also have a feeling that it's good to keep my RX for a while ;)

In the comparison of hum and noise, the RX sample still had clipping distortion but the Acon didn't. The noise reduction amount in Acon was dialled in higher and was too plastic with FFT artifacts. Initially Acon plugins seemed like a poor clone of Izotope, but they have improved and are still cheap. Stereo Tool is a good alternative for declipping, but it is a radio plugin and hard to tweak and feed higher samplerates into.
nice video again . why don't you compare a trashy sound with the whole Acon package against the Adobe Ai podcast in case whether we replaced or not ;)

RX is not in danger. It's still far more powerful for all the other features and UI.
RX spectral editor is definitely better in everyday use, but I think that Acon can really get close in this department too. Plus: RX doesn't support ARA2, while Acoustica does. Spectral editing with double mouse click, without RX Connect!
@@FoliaSound AND RX still doesn't support VST3 plugins. In 2023.

Check out Adobe's speech enhance, which is free. It blows both of these out of the water.
It's voice resynthesis, not voice de-noising. It works only with English language now, it can sound artificial on distant or very noisy sources, it's not a VST/AU in any DAW. It's something very beta stage and really different from both RX and Acon. I'm watching it closely and yes - it's great!
@ Braun : Absolutely wrong. Moreover, it has nothing to do with this plugin. Waves Clarity Vx (pro and standard) is more of a competitor than your Adobe something.

Wow RX is much better.. RX is less harsh, smoother at about 400hz, and test it on your phone with high volume.. Definitely RX won this clearly!
I have to tell you I can't hear any harshness at 400 in both. Generally Acon is a bit less distorted. Plus: this is not an EQ test, this is a heavy restoration test. Plus: Acon Deverberate wins it all. Thanks for your opinion anyway!
