I click with my mouth instead of clapping. That makes a higher pitched sound which is easier to detect. Also, comes in handy when your hands aren't free.

WOW that's exactly how I record my audio with a separate voice recorder, I use to clap, but now I rev the engine for my starting point, great video, I'm glad I found your channel, new subscriber 👍🏾
Thanks for sharing! I'll do this and experiment before going on another long ride. Just had a ride last weekend and the action cam captured all the wind noises. 🤣
There's annoying audio clipping at higher revs, you need to get it farther away from the exhaust, inside a backpack would be better, especially if it has an internal pocket in the upper portion of the main stowage compartment.
I think the best ways is to test it out at multiple places as not all bike are the same. Some bike may have thinner seat cowl or plastic. So better just try and error until you get your desired result.
Tried this recently with a Zoom H1N, windscreen, ect just like you and my audio sucked. I tried various settings, and recommendations from videos I watched. The end result was horrible lol. I don't know how you got yours sounding good. So in frustration, I went out and bought the Zoom H4N Pro Black lol. Fingers crossed this one works much better 🤞
Chaos Causes probably is not like a professional audio recording but I like it! In my opinion audio needs a little bit of post production and regulation of volume level and after that it will be awesome ;). Anyway great work bro :)
Great tip and love you hit the point without boring the heck out. QQ: have you or anyone seeing this tried putting a lav or shotgun mic under the cowl? Wonder if this can be achieved without that recording device ?
h1 sound recorder is really low quality recorder for that.. because there lots of gains when u in full throttle.. but h1 has no any multi gain control for changing sound level fast and automaticlly.. soo if u record good sound without any crack.. u need to use better recorder or buy gopro hero 4 and windslayer for that..its much better quality.. im using mic for that but still too loud :).. going to solve tht too.. take care
+Emre 600rr Interesting that you think that. Every review I’ve seen people love the H1 for the price and through my use with it I have been very impressed too. It’s difficult to get other manufacturers here in South Africa hence why I went with the Zoom and the sound is much more accurate than any GoPro.
@@alexottley87 reduce the input gain. if your sound is too quiet, don't worry, open the audio file in audacity or logic pro and use a compressor to make it louder, then put a limiter after that, or a soft clipper to make the sound a bit more exciting without making it clip like that.

Bro! For the audio, should I use the GoPro external mic adaptor or just the sound recorder? What I understood was to leave the GoPro original as it is and use the sound recorder, right?

Is Adobe free? Got mad issues with wind noise (got a hero4 session) nothin much I can do about it, got another cheap cam I was gonna rear view and audio jack to it, does that package allow a side by side video with one of them playing the audio?
I use a Sena 10C, it has the mike inside the helmet :) it can even mix in the sound of your BT music or FM radio into the video... Downside is that the video is not superHD 4K etc.. but pretty acceptable :)
I was thinking to use the voice recorder on my phone then sync in editing. Wind shouldn't be an issue since it'll be in my pocket. Hopefully it doesn't sound muffled. There's the "Meeting" settings which uses all the mics on the phone I believe mine has 3 which should be the best bet over "Normal" 🤔
