Solved my problem with no crank no start in my civic 2004, just tapped on those 2 black relays with a hammer while turning the ignition switch on and it did the trick. I was going to replace my starter but glad I tried this before ordering the starter. Thanks.
That's weird, the 2 black relays have nothing to do with it starting. One of them is for the o2 sensor heater and the other is for the reverse lights. The blue relay is for the fuel pump and the brown relay is the power to the ECU, fuel injectors, etc.
@@dragonmantuning3792 Nope, nothing fuel related. The only relays needed for it to run are those blue and brown relays and there's a starter cut relay in the under dash fusebox that keeps you from cranking it in gear or without pressing the clutch pedal. Are you still having problems with it not starting?
Normally the relays go bad because the solder goes bad after many years, I had a main relay go bad once ,all i did is tap the relay kinda hard at the same time i turn ignition switch on and the car started ,three days later is I bought one for 60 bucks at o riley's at replaced it
i just replaced the ignition switch in my 2010 honda civic and problem solved !!!!! the car was shutting off while driving and hard starts , so easy to change and cheap only $70 , honda is known for bad ignition switches and there was a recall for that !
i have a 2001 honda civic ex and i was wondering what happened when you turn the key and nothing happens at all no lights nothing i’ve replaced the battery and everything should that fix the problem?
I have a 2003 Honda civic its been sitting for a while but it turns over want start but I throw little starter fluid and starts and dies immediately would the problem be fuel pump or a relay somewhere?
@INKDUP ART STUDIO nice I'll be hitting up the yard tomorrow for a few relays. I changed mine temporarily with the light relay and it fixed it so same here
Just replace the relay make sure u put them on the right spot. So on anyone got something to say with any comment what so ever that would not make the situation better please just dont say anything keep it to your self . unless you got diff question .
Honda Civic 7 2004. I have a problem, the battery is discharging. In warm weather loses 2.5 volts in 24 hours when just parked. Decided to check the current, when I put an ammeter in the gap of the circuit, some relay clicked and there was 3 amps of current leakage. But amazingly, when I decided to check the assemblies by removing the fuses, took off the first fuse, which is a 20A air conditioner cooler, the relay clicked, and the leakage disappeared. I put the fuse back in place - no leakage. But miracles don't happen, do they? I couldn't fix the problem by just flipping a fuse, could I?
Hi . I can crank but no start. I do not hear the fuel pump when i put it on ignition. Is the blue relay for the fuel pump? Or brown? I will check voltage on pump and give it a try. I have a start with starting fluid.

CAN YOU HELP? I have a 2001 Honda accord 4cyl It's stuck in my garage right now can't start. It turns but doesn't wanna start. I put starting fluid in air filter and it starts and runs for about 10 or so seconds and then stutters off. It's always had low idling issues too. I've had this problem for years but it would always work using starting fluid. Sometimes it would take 2, 3 or 4 tires but it eventually started. It would be fine for weeks or months on end but then have the same issue. But now, after 5 years it wont start at all. I replaced the fuel pump and filter 6 months back. So probably not that. What do you think it could be...? Fuel pump relay or main relay or idle air control valve stuck...?
I have Honda Civic 2002 but it was fine I was driving on the freeway then when I got home I parked the car then the key won’t came out so I thought I left something on but I checked everything was fine and I tried to turn on the car but it didn’t, then I was trying to take the key out and before I did, I notice on the Dashboard it said it was on drive and when it was clearly on parking, I tried to move the shifting handle back and forth and it was the same the car didn’t turn on, any comments?
