I love how there’s a full crowd for this random play and everyone aside from the waitress seems to be genuinely enjoying it 😂
Like frank says : great job good song , she's not worth it . People are genuinely enjoying Charlie's work, who cares what some bitter waitress thinks
@@maverickdarkrath4780 🎉😢🎉 Aw
@@maverickdarkrath4780 they’re married in real life, Charlie always takes dubs
I think they actually did a show and sold tickets. Not 100% sure but I think there actually was quite some effort put into this episode.
It looks like everyone in the audience is from a retirement home so probably the most entertaining thing they've seen in a while.
I like Frank's comforting words to Charlie. "Great job. It was a good show. She ain't worth it"
That was so wholesome haha
*And remember... Frank would know.*
Frank always supports charlie after his songs 😂
Frank for life
It was a very nice play Charlie, I thought the rape scene went very well
When Charlie transitions to raspy classic rock voice “will you come on stage and join me…” it’s really pure gold.
Pure Freddie Mercury there
Dee not being able to raise her arms in the children's costume gets me every time
😂That's why she does like that!? After all of these years, of thinking it was just Dee giving hilariously awful low effort, I never connected it back to the little costume. Thanks. Learning something new is great, but learning something you should have already knew is even better.
@@THE_Dodge_Morningstar I think there's a line where Charlie tells her not to rip it because it's a rental 😆 something like that
the fact they’re married in real life makes me incredibly happy
Right?? Theyre on stage chemistry is opposite and amazing.
Dee and Mac, Charlie and the Waitress.
Even Frank and Denis now. So happy for them.
Divorced=)
@@Stand_By_For_Mind_Control divorced the lot of em!
@@charlie-bucket No one divorced
I love frank and Charlie’s relationship, it is sometimes extremely weird but it’s cute how they support eachother
"I get to be the troll?!"
"Who ELSE could be the troll?"
Yeah! And how come we never play nightcrawlers anymore!?
Frank is definitely Charlie’s dad.
Hands down my favorite relationship in the whole show
@@JubbJubb_they retconned that 😢
The fact the whole thing was subterfuge for a proposal is absolutely hilarious and proves Charlie's a fuckinh genius.
Who versus who are we doing it versus
Boom 💥 💥 💥. First time I watched this I laughed so hard I teared up...
And kinda creepy. The stalking thing Is the only part of Charlie's character I find kinda distasteful.
@@NA-ANhes a maniac in central philly, the stalking is the least of his probpems
That’s it, you can go home. It’s over.
1:25 Charlie Day's raspy voice is actually a good rock voice.
ROCK, FLAG AND EAGLE!!
Dennis’s Juilliard education always seeps through there musical performances lmao. I love it
*their
@@catholicdad yep name fits
Can you elaborate?
@@h3ck774what is that supposed to mean
@@h3ck774how does it fit
I'd like to think this is how Charlie Day actually proposed.
Nah they been together about longer then the show was around
@@Young856Jersey he could have proposed that way without it being in the show...
@@Young856Jersey They married before this episode but after the show premiered
@@CommentPoster10 they married 2 years before the episode aired. What are you talking about
@@Young856Jersey That's what I said, they married in 2006, before this episode aired in 2008, but after the show premiered in 2005.
The last time I was this early, Rickety Cricket was still a priest
Stage Freeze!
Don’t say stage freeze, just do it!
Love that line every time
This is the best moment from Alan Wake 2
Show me the champion of the sun
I'll show you the herald of the night man
Probably the most wholesome moment in the series. The gang doing something embarrassing and absurd to help out Charlie 😂 🤗
It's crazy amazing how great their voices are...
Right? It makes you forget that it's supposed to be a "bad" musical when all the performances are actually good
Especially Danny’s
They got through the entire musical based on the day man song and not once did they consider adding another verse lol
Can we talk about how impressive it is that CHARLIE worked the word matrimony into the song? I wouldn’t expect him to even know it
I think all the songs were transcribed from his drawings by a friend
Followed by:
*Please, say yes and do not bone me!* 😅
The waitress’ facial expressions were the best part of this episode
Charlie day is actually married to the waitress actress in real life hahaha
He reaction to initially hearing Charlie as he descends is fantastic.
1:24 I love the way she shifts when she realizes that he's actually proposing to her in that moment, like "are you f------- serious rn dude?"
"I thought the rape scene went well"
💀💀💀
Gaspar Noe on the set of Irreversible.
😆 🤣 😂

This was filmed 17 years ago. Most of the audience have probably pass by now, but I am sure having witnessed this live was a highlight of their lives.
Dee not being able to raise her arms is so realistic and so funny yet underrated lol
One of the greatest episodes of television
I recently watched the entire series and have gone back and watched this episode at least twice more
@@irman925 in a show with dozens if standout episodes this one somehow MEGA stands out. Masterpiece
Top 10 anime betrayals
*the greatest
Dennis is relentlessly savage and will absolutely destroy your dreams on most things, but if he has the opportunity to dress as whatever his idea of a '80s style glam rocker is and sing on stage he will have said yes before you even ask the question.
All jokes aside, Charlie's part was actually pretty dope
I know I’m over thinking this, but Charlie must be pretty dang musically talented to write this. The piano accompaniment alone was pretty dang good!
Charlie’s opening aria before his solo is the creme de la creme.
Waitress: Charlie, I will never marry you.
2006 Mary Elizabeth: *ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?*
I don’t get it?
@@coffetrueno9791 Their actors are married irl.
With kids
“Please say yes and do not bone me” lmaooo
This song has been stuck in my head for weeks !!
"Please say yes and do not bone me-"
The gentlemen smiling in the background at 2:25 has me dying
I have seen this about 1000x and never noticed them until today 🤣
That last dayman before the stage freeze always gives me the chills
My friend Fraser and I adored this episode. We watched it countless times along with all the other sunny classics, but we always had a soft spot for the nightman cometh. They completed suicide last year. Fraser was the whole reason I watched it’s always sunny to begin with. I would have never watched it otherwise. So every time I do, I can feel a little bit of Fraser live on within me. Never thought I’d cry my eyes out to the dayman song but here we are 😂 I just know Fraser would take the piss out of me and roll their eyes for being so soppy 😂. I’ll never forget nor stop missing them. I hope they’re at peace now
Nothing will ever be funnier than when I watched this episode drunk with my friends
Watching this crossfaded could prolly kill a grown man
@@jadeharley0413 took edibles last night and saw this episode for the first time, I was absolutely dying
The fact that they can keep straight faces blows my mind. I could never 🤣🤣🤣
There has to be bloopers out there somewhere. I really want to see them😂
It's so funny that Charlie is actually married in real life to the waitress that he is so obsessed with in the show.
This song is honestly amazing for some reason
The night man was SOOOO funny!!! They should bring it back next season
Don’t laugh at the night man, he’s badass!
Who else legit loves this song and want to see this play?
charlie day is a fuckin genius and he doesnt even know
I wish this was on spotify
You can play any music you want on it.
First to Eleven do an amazing cover of it. Check it out
Frank being a bro at the end "It was a great play Charlie. She ain't worth it." Wise man
Favorite part hands down
Frank is always supportive. He said the same thing after Charlie did his song at the bar competition
I could watch this on repeat for the rest of my life and it would still kill me every time.
STAGE FREEZE

0:23 SUN SUN SUN SUN SUN!!!

I came here for dayman but Charlie’s part is literally just as good, oddly wholesome.

Will you come on stage and join me...
This my favorite episode of IASIP. It never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I see it.
The fact that they made a real play and actually advertise it as a actual real play, shows how this show is a masterpiece on itself like they’re probably a few lucky fans find this advertisement and actually went to see the play would surreal and amazing awesome especially gaining all the autographs from all the actors would be a euphoric dream of mine so lucky
How did this not get an Emmy
0:58 Her face 😂
This song is honestly so good
The fact that Charlie Day is married to The Waitress in real life just makes it better
I loved this show back when they still had a passion for making it
They still do. You're missing out.
Just saw them do this live in London, AMAZING!

Does anyone remember the tv show “NightMan”? It’s about a super ripped musician who after getting struck by lightning realizes he can sense something that stinks…crime. Using his new power to sense crime before it happens, he becomes the Nightman, defender of justice and friendship for everyone.
I was once blind but now I can see that the night man and the day man are the same for matrimony
