I absolutely love the way Rob writes Mac. Everyone in the gang has their own brand of stupid but Mac's is the most bizarre and irrational, I bet he has a lot of fun writing him.
Mac’s stupidity comes from believing what he sees in movies, his blind faith (regardless of how you feel on religion), and his obsession with himself. Charlie’s stupidity comes from substance abuse and just general lack of awareness/poor upbringing.
I've always thought that Mac is naturally the dumbest member of The Gang, and that Charlie just huffed/sniffed/drank himself stupid (on top of having a learning disability).
Despite being terrible, Mac and Charlie have an innocence about them that keeps me from wanting them to be better people. Seeing the world through their lens is like remembering what it's like to be a 13 year old who just has wrong opinions and is so unaware of their own bias, yet is so trusting of themselves that absolutely no one can take them out of their imagination. And that imagination fuels their wacky adventures so well. + with Dennis and Frank there to ground them so harshly = comedy gold.

There's no such thing as a "wrong opinion". That's why we have the word.. opinion. In order to differentiate between two different things. Fact and fiction. A " wrong opinion" is about as valuable as a false fact. And equally nonsensical.

I love how Dennis seems like he actually knows what he is talking about in the first clip, but he is also dead wrong. Being grounded is something you don't want when working with electricity. It means that the current can travel through your body and into the ground. The rubber handle of the screwdriver is isolating him, not grounding him. It's important to be grounded when working on sensitive low volatge electronics, so you don't fry some components with static electricity on accident. Like certain clothing or carpets or rubbing a baloon in your air can produce a shock when you touch someone else or something conductive, like a door handle.

9:18, a rare moment of self-reflection from mac.
1:34 dad at thanksgiving dinner after mom made all the food
I love how Franks just dancing while they argue. He gives 0 f’s
Charlie's brand of stupidity seems to come from just not being aware of how a lot of things work and not being able to learn how they work. Mac's stupidity is almost like once he believes he understands how something works, he refuses to accept any other possible explanation.
best comp i’ve seen in awhile
I like how Charlie seems to react in horror at Mac not believing in evolution. He just recoils back like he just discovered some horrible revelation.
the fact that this is 20+ minutes long speaks volumes
The way this is longer than the Charlie stupidity compilation 💀
These are so great! Thank you!
3:13 Charlie’s reaction has me sobbing
I love the gun vs sabre zig zag scene.
11:15 “all of my instincts and my training tells me to use this as a weapon”
Is one of my all time favorite Mac lines 😂😂😂
Mac is the OG himbo fr
9:09 20 years go by, Charlie is identical, right down to the outfit 😂😂😂
I love how Dennis seems like he actually knows what he is talking about in the first clip, but he is also dead wrong. Being grounded is something you don't want when working with electricity. It means that the current can travel through your body and into the ground. The rubber handle of the screwdriver is isolating him, not grounding him.
It's important to be grounded when working on sensitive low volatge electronics, so you don't fry some components with static electricity on accident. Like certain clothing or carpets or rubbing a baloon in your air can produce a shock when you touch someone else or something conductive, like a door handle.
I just watched a compilation of its always sunny, there isnt enough mac compilations ngl
