Ok I just have to say the improvisational skill is incredible. The take at 21:26 where Charlie responds "here and there" they start breaking and then after a second I think i can see the moment Charlie comes up with the follow up line "but mostly here". Amazing to see him come up with that, and then the interviewer actor is so quick to come up with "and there" and delivers it fucking perfectly. Incredibly impressive
This was the exact moment I kept replaying 😂 it took all of Charlie’s strength to get “but mostly here” out, but he was NOT expecting the “and there” from the interviewer. Gold😂
The guys have said on their podcast that It’s sometimes difficult to distinguish whether or not he’s in character or being himself. They sometimes just assume it’s because he’s from an era of acting where “the method” was so used, but he’s so well respected and well known they just kind of go with whatever level of unhinged he’s bringing to set that day. He’s amazing.
And the fact that they all enjoyed that old lady being on set was just special. She recited her lines perfectly every time but she had them crack up. And the smile on her face while doing it! Thats super cool! Says a lot about this show
