Changing The Riding Mode while Driving | Himalayan 450

  • The console denied the process in 2ways.
    1. It says only allowed in next ignition cycle. No matter what you did it will not change the mode untill next ignition cycle.
    2. The console denied if the clutch has been released just after changing the mode. If you change the mode and hold the clutch for a second to disappear the "mode" from display, then everything is fine. And in this cycle of ignition you can switch the mode as many times you want. No issue till now.
    The same thing i have seen in other Himalayan as well. Anyways will ask the service guy but I am sure they also dont know about this and will tell me something anonymous which leads to more confusing state .

      No issue and don't worry till now i have not faced any issue regarding this mode change.

    looks like a bug to me, better not use it this way.

      @@RoyalSkyRider well when you tried to change the mode the normal straightforward way, the console denied you, then you did it using the process that you showed which seems like a bug that the RE guys doesn't know about. So maybe first ask the service people of RE whether you should change the mode while riding or not using your newfound way.
