I feel like if amazon let employees have chairs the job would be ok. I've been working on and off at amazon for like three years at different facilities. Those 12 hour shifts are no joke and it's not even the work that's bad its the fact that standing in one spot become degrading pain sears through my backside, legs, and feet and it starts to become mentally straining to the point I cant think about anything else but the pain because it's so bad. Thats the one thing I hate about working at amazon

I started at Amazon last week and yess the pain and enduring it all like you said is the best description I'm going through right now. We need the money and it's weekly pay but it isn't worth all the fuss of ruining my body at an early age of 23. I might stick around before prime week or peak season. I did not sign up for 12 hour shifts dude.

What you are sensing is a demonic stronghold at Amazon. Anyone who is spiritual will know what I am talking about. The environment is very toxic and depressing. The physical pain can be unbearable and your anxiety is constantly going up working there. Add the fact that some of the people working there are straight up cruel and evil, it makes things 1000X worst. They bring high school mentality there and think bullying and harassing others is something to be proud of. You feel like your soul was getting sucked out of you little by little. I been there for a little more than a year, I'm praying for the day I can say goodbye to this job permanently. I feel so bad for some of my co-workers because like myself I can see how miserable some of them are. I'm praying this year will be my last year there because I can't take it anymore.

OMG - never thought about that - but I was not the favored and every promotion and training I had to fight for - I actually asked if it was because I was old that I could not move to training in problem solve, hazmat, repack, avery gun, etc .... only the favored got the easier positions and they were put into place before shift ---- already on the board - it was so unfair and demoralizing - I cried a little a few times - really hurt my spirit - good luck in leaving - I got fired it was not fair - but anyway I got a job within 6 weeks - 2 offers - market is good in this area - pray you escape that BS!

@@Dani-el9nf it depends on the warehouse and the task as to the physical demands .... the stowing, pick to buffer, and picking routes for 10 hours for years gets old and is very difficult = I am 58 and did it for 2.5 years - tried to move up but it was hard -- you had to really fight to get in any type of rotation to easier positions - morale would improve if they were more fair in rotation of the easier tasks --- instead of the favored being placed in the easiest positions on the board before associates arrived - sick environment for sure! I hurt my hip and manager said "no light duty even with doctors note" and did not tell me about accommodations - while the new girl who I will call "prom queen barbie" (she actually came to work with an updo with the curl drops, false eye lashes etc...) she could not stow three rows so down to two - then she was trained in all the warehouse functions and was PA in less than a year because 23 year old manager "liked" her.... it was so demoralizing ... I just quitted from working at the near FC (an hour away) as picker everything you said is true my first day learning ambassador was an asshole he expected me to pick 400 an hour. My manager always kept harassing me. She kept showing up to my station telling to hurry up 🙄 she didn't like the way I grab items, didn't like the way I stand up. She would try to make us slow pickers feel bad by sending messages such as" congrats to ____ for picking 600 items an hour" to those who passed the hourly rate.
Those FC feels like slavery factory. I have worked in warehouse before never have I was I been told to hurry up or having managment follow me around. I got a better job for a dollar more , less stress and closer to home. Every department managment gets a bonus for our hourly rate to be achieved. I didn't have a life I had school HR couldn't bother in giving me a flexible schedule nor couldn't bother in changing me to a different managment.

I’m just confused because why are you expecting me to keep up with people who’ve been here for months on my 3rd day?? So to help me out with stowing, she picked up the packages from the cart and handed them to me to scan and place in bags. Literally all she did was hand them to me as if the issue was that I just couldn’t pick up the packages. Like ma’am, you’re literally just in the way now. It's been a few years for your comment but trust me, nothing is getting better for the warehouse part for amazon at all. It's worse than UPS which I stayed for for a few years before personal shit hit down to me. For seven months working at Amazon warehouse I never felt so miserable working at a job in my life, every time I go home I just eat then wash myself and then pass out within an hour after I got back from the job. The worse part is that I had no free time at all to destress and dreading for the next hour after I woke up I need to return to hell to do it all over again. Even your off days it feels more like about 2 since the third day is more of a half-day to do whatever you need to do. Final straw for me was a manager told me that I was a terrible employee and the job wasn't for me after I was juggling 8 isles that was being filled up with only myself being in those isles for stowing. And we was understaffed too.
Absolutely hell hole... I wouldn't even go back there if it was my last resort.

Many people that have worked as amazon drivers have quit, and it's understandable why so many amazon drivers quit. Lots of amazon delivery drivers that quit are hard workers, have a great work ethic, are great employees, are in great physical shape, etc.
Many amazon delivery drivers quit since they constantly feel pressured and rushed to make 200 stops per day and make 20 stops per hour. At Amazon, many drivers have to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour, and they're being monitored to make sure they're making 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour. There's lots of circumstances that occur that make it hard or even impossible to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour such as traffic jams, detours, rainy conditions, delivering several packages to apartment complexes, customers asking questions about packages, etc. Many amazon delivery drivers urinate in cups on the side of the road due to fearing that if they stop somewhere to use the bathroom, they won't be able to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour. Many amazon delivery drivers skip their breaks, run stop signs, run red lights, etc due to feeling rushed and pressured to make 200 stops per day and 20 stops per hour.
