Been wearing contact lenses for 44 years. Tonight was having great difficulty getting lens out. After 3 desperate hours, I found this video and now I can go to bed. Thank you
You saved my day! I had no idea how to remove because I’ve been so good at carrying my tools. I dreaded this day but it came and I found your page. It took me several tries but now I got it! Thank you for your thorough explanations and humor, im a changed woman!
I wish I would have found this video a few weeks ago! Would have saved me a scratched cornea! Thank you for sharing this info. When I got my scleral lenses my doctor told me that the lenses could NOT come out without a plunger 🤦♀️ but I followed your directions and I did it!
Thankyou so much for this, it's changed my attitude to lenses. Before this I'd had a week of stress with my trial lenses, never able to get them out without stress and pain. Used your technique tonight and they popped right out at the first attempt
Cany thank you enough for this demo.I am a rookie ans was running out of options and ratience,Was preparing to sleep with my new lens in my eye...nothing worked-plunger,pulling the lower lid down and to the righnt and blinking...this was a minor miracle man!
Actually, I just press my upper lid at the lens margin at 45 degrees above the horizontal axis. That introduces lots of bubbles under the lens. Suction is broken and I can easily remove the lens with my fingers. Glad you presented this technique. I lost my one sucker down the drain.....
Thank you, all of your scleral videos have been very helpful. Removal has always caused me the most anxiety (I've had many suctioned on lenses), and I've often wondered 'how do I get it out if I lose my little plunger?'. I went and tried this immediately a few times with no success, I could not pull my eyelids apart far enough to get on either side of the contact (I have hooded eyes and large lenses), but will be practicing it to see if I can get the hang of it.
Thank you SO much 🤗, I actually lost my Plunger at a Wedding Reception today, I tried out your Wonderful for the first time ... and HOORAY it worked ✔ Thank you SO much again Sir 🤗💝❤
Hey! I'm thankful for the vid too. But I've been pretty good with taking out my contacts with the tool and also have experienced pain while doing so. But it only ever happened when I used it in a way where I put the plunger directly or near the center. After a while, I put the plunger near, but not exactly on the edge of the contact. I'm pretty sure you're problem was that you've possibly attached the plunger too close or on the center of the lens. If you ever wanna try out the tool again u should try attaching the plunger near the edge n see if it's better
Considering how am almost permanently on one eye drop or another, from pulling my eyes out with the plunger and the resultant pain, swelling etc I HAVE TO LEARN THIS!
2nd week with these lenses and I always have difficulty popping them out after 12 hours of use, even with the plungers. Mine must be too tight on my eyes
@@eleftheriamichaelidou4080 they obviously told u to stick the plunger to the bottom part of ur lenses and never the middle. The trick is after u stick it to ur lenses, it's a certain movement it's kind of hard to explain through text. But u have to slightly move it up and pull at the same time
No matter how much I try I cannot do this without a plunger. :(. Now I don’t know if it’s I wear them super long throughout the day and night that it’s stuck to my eye but I put a drop in to try to loosen it but nothing. I think my lids are way to soft or something.. I was only successful once but never able to do it again..
😩 you're a life saver. Forgot my plunger at work and had to get these out before bed.
Hey Ndumi, where do you buy your saline from? I guess youre from SA?
Same I got scared 😱
