I'm from the US, and a huge country fan since I was a little boy and I LOVE how you play country. With that guy's logic, only Germans should play Beethoven and only Russians can play Tchaikovsky. Thank you for your lessons!
I’m from Texas, a very country music heavy place, and your country lessons are always fantastic! Keep em’ coming. Country isn’t my main thing musically, but lots of guitar-rich material and value in this genre…and dare I say it’s fun!
Wait 'til he hears about Albert Lee!
An amazing guitarist!
Agreed
And Ray Flacke!!!!
I saw Clapton live with Albert Lee back in 1982. Fantastic guitar playing that night.
Yeah, also just saw old video of Jeff Beck showing his 50s telecaster and chicken pickin, so....
I love Gram Parson and country music. Gram brought country music to The Rolling Stones! Nobody rocks harder than Keith. Keith called it white soul music and loved George Jones! Thank you for this video. You can’t cover Gram Parsons enough!
Also brought "country rock" genre to the "Byrds"
Keep playing the country stuff!
Lmaooooo good for you not listening to threats of unsubsribing!! Too bad for buddy he doesn't realize that playing different genres of music can make you a better player. Thank you for your videos. Very appreciated ❤❤❤❤
Best teacher on UA-cam for style, attention to detail and choise of songs
I'm American. I'm a southerner. I love Gram Parsons and country music. Please keep playing and teaching.
I love your country lessons. I’ve learned so much.
That was the best introduction to a lesson ever!
I Love your YT channel, your a brilliant teacher and guitar player. I’m sure that same fellow doesn’t listen to Charley Pride either! 🎸🇨🇦🇬🇧
Nothing but love and thanks Adrian. Your channel is my favorite. Aloha
What a great video man!! Please make more such country solos and break them down like this. This was such a great and helpful video!
Excellent! Taught beautifully!
This is the best guitar channel on UA-cam! Thank you for all your amazing lessons :)
I think Gram Parsons was a great songwriter contrary to the critics’ beliefs. Thank you for this. And to your “unsubscriber”’ as Gram said regarding genres it’s all just music; it’s either good or bad; you either like it or you don’t! I am Texan. I like Pantera and Waylon!
Yee Haw !!
You go right ahead and play the country music !!
🤟🤠
your country lessons are amazing
We all have preferences but if you truly love art and the creative spirit, be open to everything. There is so much to learn and enjoy from all genres. I have had long-held prejudices regarding music but the more I learn, the more I appreciate. I am still a “beginner” but I am lucky to have been exposed to so much music that I was “too good for” (thanks in part to your channel Adrian). Country, punk, hip-hop, bluegrass, be-bop, shoe gaze, etc. etc. There is more to appreciate than one can ever fathom. Thanks for the variety and diversity Adrian. Long love art!
I've been following you for a while now. I think you're one of the most tasteful with phenomenal tone driven players on UA-cam.
Thanks for your time and talents that you share with us.
Another cracking video, Adrian. The variety of content you provide has helped to expand my guitar repertoire and palette. The country guitar lessons are amongst my favorite so thanks for creating and pressenting them, along with everthing else. Many thanks!
I love what you do and your appreciation for many different styles of music. Please, play as much country, blues, rock, punk, whatever, you like. I have learned a lot watching your channel. Keep up the good work.
I clicked like before i even played the vid! You have great taste GRAM PARSONS is a legend - and it doesn't matter what country we come from! Very nice!!
I worked an Emily Harris concert and she used the key of B flat. I volunteered at the show and spoke with the sound man; he told me she liked that key.
Wow that's interesting, that's quite possibly the reason why this one is in Bb.
Gram played piano as well as guitar. Bb is a piano-friendly key. Maybe he wrote it on the piano.
Interesting. Bb is the domain of wind instruments, like clarinet. Could be a heritage of her younger days.
Appreciate you, Adrian!
Great!
This notification best news Ive had today
Play every genre. No one should be upset over whatever you play.
"Sir, this is a UA-cam channel, not an airport. You don't need to announce your departure."
I’ve learnt so much from your country vids, keep firing them out.
You do a good job making that B bender sound without a B bender.
Thanks for being versatile. I love everything you do on this channel and sorry to hear that anyone would be critical of what you are doing for the guitar community. Thank you!
Ray Flack, Albert Lee. WTF, 2 of the most influential country guitarists of my time.
You play what ever you want. If I like it I’ll watch it. And if I don’t like it…………. I’ll probably still watch it!
Ray Flacke anyone? Guy was an unbelievable country guitar player in his day, just listen to old Ricky Scaggs.
Quick! Someone tell Albert Lee he's not allowed to play country.
haha yes, quite!
Dear Adrian, you've got taste.
Thank you for sharing this excellent lesson! Appreciate your commentary on the arrangement - really interesting and helpful.
thanks for this solo Adrian, keep the Country solos coming.
I enjoyed it.
I like your country guitars lessons. So yeehaw to you, and your King and Country.
Am sure you will loose sleep about outraged 😅 fan. Great playing as always. Love all your genre.
My favorite from the Cosmic Cowboy
Outstanding country solo video
Brilliantly done, love it, love it..👏
Brilliant lesson! Love country solos with large bends. Thanx!
Some of the finest country guitar players have been Brits... Ray Flacke, Albert Lee, although a US genre, we can all enjoy the style which brings characteristic elements and sounds to the guitar! love it!
Another quality lesson. Thanks 🙏🏼
Nice, really appreciate the info an your time putting things together...keep rolling good job, thanks for the help learning
Thank you so much!!!!!
Very tasty stuff, great video, thank you! I would argue that one of the greatest country players is a Brit, or at least one of the greatest country guitar Brit players is Mark Knopfler, with Albert Lee right there in the conversation. Lee played in Emmy Lou’s band, and Knopfler had a wonderful duet album and tour with her in 2007/2008.
Do you like the pop group at all? I feel like they have so much dynamic guitar, and would make a great video.
I do love all your tutorials, i don’t learn all , depends of my need and the style of music. But one thing i can tell you Adrian, it’s that i love when you teach some country music style and reasons are here : 1 you do it so well 2 it’s so tasty sweet style 3 it’s wonderful on reggae wich is my music style becos it’s the same timing ( on 1 and 3 ! ) big up me fren ;) 👍🎶🔥
Awesome! Love it. Have you ever listened to another Gram Parson tune Ooh Las Vegas? Another great James Burton solo.
Thanks for this Adrian. So far this year I used your lessons to learn "Pretty Persuasion" on my 12-string electric and "Wichita Lineman" on my baritone (it takes me time to learn this stuff, what with work and all). Anyway, this tune will be for the New Year. I'm a Canadian though...maybe I shouldn't be playing stock country licks.
Yeah, am building myself a baritone just cause of the Lineman video !
a good musician should be versed in lots of genres and good at a few and great at at least one
Tasty - love it.
Albert Lee and Mick Taylor need to check themselves apparently.
Cool solo, I'll use my b bender
What a fantastic video have a good weekend also stay safe ❤😊
A cowboy hat would have been great.
And a Nudie suit even better!
country guitar as a Brit. Albert Lee seemed to make a good fist of it
I’m not a big country guy but great lesson bruvah
We love both kinds of music, country and western.😂
Very nice 👏
Like deployed 👍
😎🎙🏎✅️
Hot stuff 😊
❤❤❤
Hey Adrian, great video! Would you ever do a video on Robbie Robertson?
could you please do I Can't Let Go by The Hollies?
I’m from Kentucky Brother! I used to diss country music until I tried chicken pickin’! Lol
That was great as always luv it🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🤘🤟🤟🤟🤟.... Maybe next time you can do some classic Black Sabbath for us you are the King👑God Bless....
He did Black Sabbath last week
Isn't Albert Lee one of the greatest country guitarists? And weren't the Stones, Clapton etc influenced by American blues artists as well as American artists influenced by the British Invasion? Comment you received is a head scratcher. Glad your throwing some country lessons in there.
Could you do a jj cale video?
I think you should clear up the whole internet confusion regarding scales, caged, pentatonic etc....and teach a course on proper approach to learning lead guitar and where you should start. I would definitely buy the course from you as I am certain you are one of the most respected teachers on here, at least that's what I think!!!!
There's no confusion. Learn CAGED. Learn the minor pentatonic and know that the same pattern applies three frets towards the nut for the relative major. Memorize every note on the fretboard. Done. It's simple, not easy.
What confusion? Adrian and others such as Guthrie Trapp have covered this topic in depth both in their free youtube videos and in the lessons they provide for a fee. The information is out there, budding guitar players just have to put forth a little effort to learn it and to practice dilligently.
What does being Brit have to do with playing Country or any kind of music ? Music is universal and awesome no matter what "Country" you are from...lol
To put down country guitar is just ignorant. There are so many county guitar legends to check out. Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Glen Campbell, I could go on and on.
Good rid dens to that subscriber if he doesn't like your country music. I do.
How dare you wear a hoodie while playing a telecaster. I'm going outside to stomp on my cactus.
Forget about that idiot that was going to unsubscribe because you played Country. You are far better off without people like that.
I loved your Moonage Daydream Bowie stuff. BUT, I am also a huge Country fan and your Country playing and teachings are excellent. Keep the great music flowing regardless of genre!!
Great !!!! don`t let anybody put shame on the country guitar...... you narrow mindid musicians !!!!
The only thing missing is you wearing a cowboy hat.
Pal, you can play country in my band anytime.
Honsetly, some people!! How dare George Harrison play sitar as a Brit? Lol!
All things Must Pass had a few songs that have a country feel and Ringo’s first album was country.
@@GaryBook And it was quite good.
Oh no some anonymous nowhere nobody has unsubscribed, there goes my sleep for a week. Actually not.
You are country. The country is England, but still...
I like Gram Parsons. I learned how to play that song called Sin City. It's the first waltz I've learned. Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day. I'm trusting in nothing but the blood of Jesus to pay for my sins to keep me out of hell.
Whoever the narrow-minded dweeb was who "unsubscribed" because you had the audacity to play country as a Brit is, unfortunately, just clueless about who plays what and that country of origin is pretty much irrelevant to the quality of the music played. Your fellow Brits Ray Flacke & Albert Lee are some of the hottest country guitarists around. Not too many people probably think of Estonia as a hotbed of country guitar, but former Sturgill Simpson guitarist Laur Jomets plays some pretty blazing country riffs! I'm glad you disregard the criticism and just do your thing.
Yeah! That Laur Jomets guitar work on Life of Sin and Long White Line is just incredible!
Ha Ha in your face. Not yours his. All music is awesome.
The acceptable face of cultural appropriation 🙂
People! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Brits can't play country?! 😆😆😆😆 cuz why? Jfc
