Best triad lessons on UA-cam. Well worth signing up for this guy’s Patreon to get the extras. He’s meticulous creating his tab for reference and makes fun backing tracks. Lots of great songs you can’t find taught elsewhere too!
Never stop banging on about triads!!! After 20+ years of being a hack guitar player I'm finally learning how chords are constructed and the vital importance of triads, and how much easier it is to sound good and melodic and be more creative in both melodies, leads, and rhythm when you really know and understand triads. The hard work has enormous payoff!!!
I'm only surprised Adrian doesn't have at least 1M subscribers the lessons he produces.
Absolutely mate, for all the yrs he's been doing this.
Explains everything clearly, which finger where & how to get the tones.
Best on utube.
@@baabaabaa-yp2jhUnlike a lot and I mean a lot of YT teachers this guy always keeps it simple and doesn't go out to impress you with his own magnificence, no ego, no BS just straight up honest guitar teaching.
Holy smoke! These lessons opened up a new world for me. Great job.
By far my favorite guitar teacher on UA-cam. The best explanations and exercises and great taste in music. Thank you Adrian !
I love this way of not having fun. Very helpful--thank you!
Adrian, this is perfect. I for one, cannot get enough of these triad lessons. This is foundational and essential to unlocking the mystery of the fretboard. Also, I assure you that it is fun enough. Thank you for your brilliant lessons.
I have been playing guitar for 26 years, and if I had a teacher of your caliber decades ago I would be so much better! Man…bravo!!
Oh and you’re such a fantastic player too. The old saying “those who can’t do teach” does not apply. Really tasteful
Love your style. You have good taste in music also. I like these videos thank you
Very handy lesson. Some of these I've used for years, but you've opened my eyes to many other possibilities I just hadn't thought of using. It could also be a nice way to learn to aproach double stops.
This is it, the lesson I've been looking for to actually apply the triads. I've been trying to find someone to lay out all the permutations and everyone wants to just cover one dimension of it. This is it. Thank you so much!
IDK why I wasn't subscribed b4, but I am now! I enjoy your super chill style (ie: no screaming and unwarranted comedy) and this is a "breakthrough" lesson for me. Thank you !
First, that Trent guitar looks really nice. Very nice instructional video. I learned some basics on triads then built an instrumental song around it having a world-class guitarist improvise over the triad progression. It was a very pleasant and critically acclaimed song. Thanks.
You are so kind to share your knowledge. I have learned so much from your vidoes.
Man, I really appreciate your lessons and talent as a musician. Keep up the great work!! Thank you.
Very interesting! I'm waiting for a great course about spread triads and how to use them. Thank you. Regards
You grow up listening to and watching your guitar heros, mesmerized by their fingers flying all over the place on the fretboard... you think "Yes, that!"
When in actually.. its this!
Amazing lesson! Will definitely dig into it! Cheers!
Dude... I just checked out your Zodiac Toys project. Super cool!!!! You should plug it more often on your channel. Well worth the listen.
Thank you Adrian, love your lessons, playing and song selection!
Excelent, this was the video I was searching for a long time. You are the best Adrian. Cant wait for the Minor tutorial
Brilliant as usual! Thanks.
Thanks for this lesson. I love the tone you're getting here. Just the right amount of gain to give it some throatyness ........Well done.
always an insightful pleasure, thank you!
Love you Adrian! Still loving your Inky records...thank you!
Excellent lesson and info. Thanks!
Fantastic lesson, an excellent companion to your earlier triad videos (major, minor, inversions, I-IV-V). I started in on this one and builds on those earlier ones from different angles, with many "aha" moments. Together these are a great contribution Adrian - thank you!
.
The twisted logic of the fretboard 😂😂😂 love your deadpan sense of humour, it makes that kind of lessons more enjoyable!!!
This video really condenses lots of very useful info, many thanks for sharing all that knowledge
I'm a bass player and I'm trying to explore the guitar from this angle. Your tutorial really paves a great way for me. I love it, thank you very much! Greetings from Switzerland
Excellent lesson, thanks so much.
Absolutely fantastic Adrian! I’ll definitely be using this in my daily practice for a while. I love the idea of “melodic theory exercises” - learning to play musically by using underlying theory (whether caged or thirds or triads etc)
Important to get that stuff into muscle memory. You suggest nice ways for practicing!
Absolutely fantastic video have a good weekend ❤😊
very tastefully done!
yes please for playlist
This was a wonderful lesson. My problem has been my inability to organize the fretboard in any meaningful way. I think this will be the very tool I need to reconcile that, though I think it will take be quite a bit of time to become fluent. For someone with no inherent natural ability, I think this may be a breakthrough for me.
Thanks!
Stick at it mate, it'll happen.
I learn a bit, then plateau a bit..it's never been smooth progress.👍
Your triad tutorials were the missing link for me. Thank you very much.
That's a gorgeous guitar.
Fantastic! Love your triads videos, what I would love to see is a video of you using triads in a popular song ,a song by the doors or love for instance 😃
Adrian you're a real rock star.
Again, thanks!!!
Hi Adrian, great lesson as always. Any chance that you can do "part 2" of the video. Basically to continue where you stopped, something like: "Use diatonic triads to improvise"? Thank you very much in advance
Guitar part i do love!
Always kinda helps to remember 2 strings are e so they're the same notes then fill in the other 4 places where the notes are in the octave.
Thank you :)
I almost ordered a Trent guitar earlier in the week. 6 months is a long time to wait :(
A good song that uses triads in the main verse is Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden.
Great video, as always! Would you please consider doing 'Lies' from 'Some Girls' by the Rolling Stones ? I'm sure it's a song you like and there are no lessons nor covers on UA-cam. If you listen to this song you see how Keith Richards was Johnny Thunders' true hero. think about it! thank you Adrian you're the best
Great band name
Just watching Tommy Emmanuel work thru a series of triads up and down the neck, changed my entire perspective - so important
Hard work never killed anybody...
I beg to differ
Given that, no one is above lessons, and next year, I will have been happily impersonating a cat being ironed for 50yrs
How I wish your explanations were around then ,there were several "light bulb " moments
Keep up the good work thanks
Where’s the Triad playlist that you mention??
Do you know any good videos to learn scales?
Is this harmonising the major scale/
Are you saying the first inversion of Dm is just a fad?
Triads, knowledge of the major scale are “key” (forgive the pun) to fluent guitar playing. If you can visualise these as you play it opens up the fretboard and gives you confidence.
