- Apparently yours truly -- NotYourTypicalNegro -- was the star of James White's show "The Dividing Line today after Twitter skirmish with him the day before. While he was on the air I live tweeted a question to him. I asked him about the following statements he made about the teen he saw recently: "He lives in a land where he is told lies every day-the lie that he cannot, through hard work and discipline, get ahead, get a good education, and succeed at life. He is lied to and told the rest of the world owes him."
I asked him what are these lies and who's telling them to black people If you were watching the live broadcast it appeared as if a demon rose up in him. His face contorted and he yelled, "BLACK LEADERSHIP!"
That confirmed everything I said about him earlier. This man has a problem. He has a warped perception about black people, and he doesn't understand he is using supremacist reasoning and language. He is intransigent and does not want to listen, understand, or be corrected. I have observed this man for 10 years and he has not changed.
I have to agree with James, he's right..
+Titus Isaiah but here's the problem. By extension, or rather directly, he is saying ALL Black people -- including me -- are being told "lies" which we automatically believe and operate from. Well first of all, that's an overtly bigoted comment, as it stereotypes Black people as mindless zombies, unable to think on their own without a so-called "Black leader". Secondly, it's not factual because I've NEVER heard ANYBODY in my 40+ years say what White claims Black leaders say. In fact, I've NEVER heard Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton say that. I'm right here in the BLACKEST place in America -- Atlanta, GA. Birthplace of Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and home base of the civl rights movement. I NEVER heard any Black political, religious, or community leaders say that here. My family never heard that and my kids never heard that, so I don't know what he's talking about. Finally, it is RIDICULOUS to believe a 15 year old kid in the hood sits back and listens to Sharpton and Jackson. In fact, most Black people don't even know who they are today. Just very irresponsible rhetoric.

This is heartbreaking to watch. Instead of humbly listening to those he's insulted, he doubles down. The Voting Rights Act, Fair Housing Act, and Civil Rights Act were all passed in JW's lifetime, how can he ignore that this is a much more complicated issue than just hip-hop and parenting skills? His logic is so full of holes that it makes me question the value of his other material.
This is one of the most ignorant educated men I have ever seen.
