My son, Bill, went to gorgeous, tiny, little special needs school for gorgeous special children. Bill and his friends there all need just a little more care, attention, love and guidance to help them access friendships and education. Bill has autism (and a variety of other issues such as Sensory Processing Disorder, ADD, Dyspraxia, Global Developmental Delay and Klinefelters Syndrome) and most of his school mates have similar challenges as well as Dyslexia across the board. Bill's school is woefully underfunded for a variety of reasons that would take pages of text to explain. The teachers aren't well paid yet they are constantly buying supplies the children need that most pupils don't require; such as pen grips and fiddle toys to aid concentration etc...I have been fundraising for a few years now and with your help have managed to help subsidise school trips, buy sensory room equipment, Occupational Therapy equipment, outdoor tables and chairs, a trampoline...and a mini bus!! # billsspecialbus 🤩 All this fundraising helps a phenomenal school that has given so many children a future they would not have been able to access. Thank you so much for any kind of support you give us.

Oh how lovely to see you back ! I know exactly what you mean, after avoiding Covid for 2 1/2 years I got it in August and I haven't felt right since, a disgusting taste in my mouth most of the time and a feeling of being permanently drained. The bronze is beautiful and such a lovely gift. My garden has looked in a state since the hot weather killed so many plants and the entire lawn but the sweet peas survived, in fact thrived ! Its been 3 months since my first grandchild was born and I call her Sweet P as her name is Penelope, oh what a joy she is, holding her head up and being nosy, you forget how quickly they grow up, just like your boys, blink and they're another 2 inches taller. Be kind to yourself x

It was really wonderful to spend a bit of my morning catching up with you Gayna, you always inspire me to try something new. I love the look of you quilt WIPS. I am going to do my first one soon, I am going to start with a charm pack so that I don't collect fabrics as well as yarn. It will be great to spend more time with you, whatever you are doing. 🤗💕
Charm packs are a great way of getting a perfectly balanced quilt as all the colour choices and pattern are sorted already. You have the fun of placement. Perfect!
Oh Gaynor, I'm sorry that you are feeling discombobulated. I am also very grateful that you were able to post a video. I enjoyed all of the bitty Bobby loveliness, because it was you . Try not to put too much pressure on yourself to do all the things, those of us who love your channel will be happy to just listen to you chat with your coffee or tea. Hello Gayna, It was so lovely to catch up with you. I am so sorry you are struggling post covid with not feeling yourself. I am not sure I understand what is actually wrong/different now, did you say you don't quite feel present and connected as you used to? That sounds challenging. You will get there... I am sure the remedy must be eating lots of yummy food, cuddling with small cute animals, and making lots of beautiful knits and quilts. Your paper pieced quilts are glorious!! I love them so much. I am happy your boys are doing well. Things are good here on our 16 acres oasis in the woods, in the countryside in Oregon. We are just now getting tomatoes since our summer started a month late. I was thinking we might need to grow them in green houses like you do if the climate changes any more, which it will... I laughed when you said you didn't need any more quilts projects because I am in the same boat. I was working on a scrappy nine patch quilt while I watched/listened to you. I've never made a cathedral quilt, but I have seen them. I am trying to use up scraps because I ran out of storage space, and 3 quilt tops later my scrap bin seems just as full, but at least the extra bag that was preventing my closet from closing properly is in the bin now. Awww Gayna there is certainly something charming about your podcasts, you're just so genuine and relaxed, which is why I love watching! I've been eagerly awaiting a video from you so when I sat down this evening (feeling a bit stressed about something) and saw you had posted one, it made my evening and cheered me up.
You mentioned a while back that you were going to do some crochet.... have you managed to do any yet? I love crochet so would be interested to see what you have made. I too have a very deep yarn stash but am still going to visit a yarn festival soon (Yarndale) as I can't resist.
I'm so looking forward to Autumn this year and cosying up with my crochet. The heat has been pretty oppressive at times here in the UK so I'm ready for scarf weather!

Lovely to catch up with you over my morning cup of tea. Our garden is nowhere near as accomplised as yours but most of our plants have been burnt off by the sun, we had to water select essentials as it was too much to keep everything going. Our plum and apple trees are beautiful and the fruits are perfect so they did well out of the dry summer. Sorry about covid, I had dizzyness and just didnt feel 'myself' for a good couple of months after having it in February, I'm pretty much back to normal now but feel like it has changed the symtoms of a long term condition I have.....covid was certainly an odd illness whereever it came from! Bronze bunny is adorable, I have a drawing of our cats and love it so much.
I focused on watering my new plants and hoped for the best with my established plants. A lot of my garden suffered wind burn as the air was so hot and dry. X

Love the tops you made and you received beautiful yarn for a new shawl. Love all those colors you got from your friend who wanted to make a blanket. Are you going to make a blanket as well with the balls? Think it would be great for a granny square or granny stripe blanket.

Start with one drawer at a time. I prefer to write down the things I have done rather than have a to do list. I love seeing that list grow.

I must say having had it twice my motivation & concentration have disappeared I am like a butterfly flitting about with little or no energy I am convinced the the little beast is still alive in my brain my GP disagrees but he’s the expert whom I respect & said it’s post Covid fatigue. He isn’t the expert if he says it doesn’t effect the brain. Number one symptom of long covid is depression and all it’s related symptoms like forgetfulness etc…
Love to listen to your podcasts. I know you feel disjointed when you speak. I feel the same as you. So for me it’s enjoyable listening to you. Besides the fact that my dads sisters -so my aunts and grandmother are from England and I spent summers with them. The way you say things brings back memories

It’s funny how we say things over here that we don’t give a Denis thought to and yet they are so evocatively English. I love how multicultural England is but I do fear with the passing of our queen we will lose Some of our Britishness. We don’t even have a national dress.

So glad to see you. I'm sorry to hear you had Covid, friends have told me how hard it is to get back to normal. The best thing is not to stress over it, just let normalacy return slowly and totally, first and foremost you have to take care of you, then you will be able to better take care of those around you.
I loved the knits. I never cared for a vest top, but after seeing yours and you talking about putting something nice under it for fall, I feel like that would be so lovely.
I think you should get your own Guinea Pig. Paula (Stitched by Mrs D), has two adorable Guinea Pigs that she shares with us from time to time.

I like how vests look and I find they keep my body warm but because my arms are free I don’t get too hot. I’d love to keep Lily the Guinea pig but I’m happy with our two hamsters. I love them so much!

I just loved this. It's like sitting with a friend. I like very much your style of podcasting, rambling all over the place and so nice to hear about your family and what they are up to. We have a dairy farm and wish we could find someone enthusiastic - I hope he is appreciated! Here now are my comments in no particular order, heh! Glasses - I now have four pairs - driving/walking; gardening/housework (using tools with handles); gardening/housework (using hands ) and for looking at pc, and finally, a knitting/sewing pair. At least I have found a lovely optician happy to re-glaze old frames. Garden pests - a similar tale here, my poor rasps have definitely suffered with rabbits, also have moles, pigeons, bloody neighbours cats(i do like cats, but), cabbage whites, even under the environmesh - how?? And now all my Winter squash is covered in powdery mildew. I see you have tithonia, isn't it fabulous? Like a glamourous weed. I have made a similar loose waisted pinafore skirt - so comfy. Lopi - I must make a Perec, it's in my Ravelry queue and the Lopi at a loose gauge is, as you say, so light and warm. I also liked the first vest you showed-so cute on you. Maybe the wool will soften with washing? Finally, I LOVE your collie type dog, he is so affectionate. I hope the lump is nothing to worry about. Best wishes to you all.

So so glad to see you today!! I had the same feeling with covid #2 back in June, it is just now passing a bit . Glad you got to run around before getting sick, your garden is really cranking... mine is a tangled mess as needed to tend it in June and by end of July it was mocking me and armed itself with all sorts of stinging critters. Now, all those lush clusters of grapes are gone..probably that fat groundhog.
It's been great to see you Gayna, I missed you. You have a good lot of knitting finished there, more than I have acheived. I procrastinate something awful, mean well as in knitting everything and it just does not happen, BUT I am committing myself to Stephen Wests latest MKAL. I am having some yarn dyed, costs an arm and a leg so to speak so I had better commit honestly and definitely!! We are in middle of Spring here down under, today has been the most beautiful calm, sunny, blue sky day that we have had for ages. The weather up to now has been awful,dismal, wet but just a few hours of sun helps you to feel a lot better. I have a friend who has long covid and has been lethargic, brain fog and feeling blah for weeks and weeks. I do hope you start to feel better soon.Loved the little wee brass dog you gave Toby, it's beautiful.
Don’t forget; crafting is our hobby we go to it when we need to. It’s ok if you fall behind with your MKAL. The yarn won’t expire like an avocado 🤓. Enjoy it! A friend sent me a screen shot of your cathedral window cushion so now I can see you on IG. I’ll be watching the shabby fabrics tutorial you mentioned. Gayna! Your voice and your face motivates me!! Been feeling a little worthless. Came back from vacation with my family. We had a wonderful time. Then I just got brain fog and no ambition. Your video broke me out of that. I am back to knitting and making all the things❤️🤗And GO BILL🙌🏼🙌🏼

I so enjoy your podcasts, please don’t change. The boys are really growing up and I’m sure once you are back into the school routine, your motivation will come back. Super produce haul as well and love your finished knits. Can we have a tour of the barn one day please?
