I just got this exact engine for free from the father in law. It has been sitting for at least five years… but looks like it was put away winterized and almost never used even though it is a 2004. Going to overhaul it. The parts are insanely cheap and simple! I wonder if I should get one of those carb rebuild kits I saw. If it runs right… I will definitely be getting one of the battery charge kits I saw. Apparently this motor makes around 58W of power. Which can run some good LED lights. I will just put a micro 12V battery in the middle… then minimal lighting and fish finders on the battery. The head on this motor is $40 on Amazon. Cheap! Mounting it to a Milha Lite Skiff Thank you…
Great video. Do these motors have a thermostat? Water coming out the tell tale is pretty hot. Has new impeller and a good flow coming out…just hot. Thank you
Perfect! Thanks, my man.
That carb is way more complex than I would have imagined!!

So this model has a stator for charging up a batterie and running accessories? I was not aware, nor did I see this while working on this one.

No thermostat on these
@@gregwilson9035 Appreciate the response.
What fuel ratio are you running in it?
50:1, I like to use tru-fuel for the first and last fill up for the season, its ethenol free and 95 octane, doesn't break down over the winter.
@scottmountjoyAMC Thanks, just got this one and seemed to smoke more than usual at 50:1
@@thomasc2207 Yes I noticed a lot of smoke when this engine is cold too, I think it would clean up when you get out and put a load on it.
Try Marvel Mystery Oil? Or Seafoam?
