Just bought a kia forte gt line and I will forever come back to buying the cheapest new cars and just adding features to make it an average cost. For the same cost as an average new car, I've gotten the whole shebang of safety and comfort features, killer gas mileage (in over 1k miles I've gotten an average of 39 mpg), and a 10 year bumper bumper warranty instead of just powertrain. It really is the way to go. Family of mine have $50k vehicles and talk about my "fancy car" that cost me 26k 😂
I just bought the ‘23 gt line yesterday. There is definitely a button on my trunk to open it. A cool thing no UA-camr mentions is when you walk up to the car at night the front door handles are illuminated.
People wanna bother with 40 50 thousand dollar EV's when a 19 thousand dollar mid size sedan exists that gets better range than any EV available right now. These 4 banger sedans will always be on top in terms of efficiency, my Honda Accord gets almost the same amount of MPG as this Forte does.
Even though it has the same powertrain as the Hyundai Elantra, for some reason the Forte is rated 2mpg less efficient. The Elantra is rated 41mpg, except for the base trim rated at 42mpg because only the base trim has idle stop-and-go.
To think there's still mid priced luxury cars that don't offer ventilated front seats. It's actual useful features that get my money, not superfluous carbon fiber, wood, and leather trim everywhere.
Everything original except headlights (one stock light went out about 50,000 miles) even the battery is still original and always starts up ready to roll
Just picked up the LSX with tech and its crazy to think how much tech can be packed into a car this cheap. The ride is good and pick up just enough. The speakers do the job good enough. They also offer the HomeLink mirror either from the factory or at the dealer if you want it.
I drove a 2022 GT-Line with all the options (sunroof, Harman-Kardon sound, 10 way driver's seat, heated and ventilated seats, adaptive cruise and all the other safety and driver assists). It was a great compact car. I had only one complaint - even with the 10-way power seats (ventilated no less) I couldn't get comfortable for long. It had plenty of legroom for my 6' 3" frame, but I basically have no butt and would get uncomfortable after a fairly short drive. The seats are a bit hard. Other than that it was pretty amazing was $25,400 (MSRP) would get you.
I'm watching your video to find out about this car. One thing you pointed out was the driver mode, Normal, sport and smart. It would be nice to hear a little bit about which each one does. I have no idea what any of them mean.
It's based on the 2017-2020 generation Hyundai Elantra. I bought a 2018 Elantra new. Loved it, for the most part. If this 2022 Forte has similar tuning, it's a very nice car for the money. Smooth, quiet, comfortable, and sips fuel. Having driven the Corolla too, I can tell you the Elantra/Forte are much nicer driving cars. You feel more in control and connected to the road. The only aspect of my Elantra I didn't like was the 6-spd automatic they used back then. It was a dumpster fire. The only reason I got rid of mine after 3yrs was the terrible reliability. Hopefully, they've worked out the few major kinks since 2018. If so, this car is a no-brainer if you're looking for a compact sedan.
Unfortunately Kia and Hyundai dealerships have become notorious for their huge dealership markups, along with Honda. Kia dealerships are charging 4k markup over msrp for new Rios and Fortes. 4k markup on new Elantras.
@@palebeachbum True but Hyundai/Kia have become especially greedy with their markups. $20,000 markup on Kia Tellurides. Paying over 20k for a Kia Rio is ridiculous!

False info. This 2.0L engine has been in use in Hyundai/Kia vehicles since 2017.
