    Hey Greg,
Are you noticing that the 403 is using a lot of bar oil?
I bought one yesterday - absolutely love it, but it uses so much oil!

Have you had any battery overheating issues with the 40V batteries?

Not yet - Is it common issue?
I usually let them cool down before putting them on the charger (since I have 2 batteries) and I use the 2.5ah every time unless it goes flat and I’m mid job.

@@gregandtarynsplace I have very few 18V Makita tools, but am thinking to go 40V…. Just seeing if 40V is as trouble free as 18V..

So far I only have the 40v Power Head and for less than 12 months, so I wouldn't be able to give an opinion on their reliability yet.
You get the same 5yr warranty on the skin when registered through your Makita portal though.
Personally I'll be going 40v for all my high power tools (circular saw and mitre saw) but prefer the lighter weight of the 18v for my drill and impact driver.

@@jakeharris4465 I had a comercial petrol Echo. It was perfect for his decade. But this thing vibrations, weight and noise was killing my hands and ears. Batery tools is now in another level! You can work whenever you want in the late evening for low noise and how long you want for light weight.

I couldn't think of any way to improve it - what were your thoughts?
