I just bought one of these. I'm quite pleased with the speed and how quiet it is. Sadly the battery life is almost a deal breaker as I only got about 30 cuts, through a 6" log, before the 5.0AH batteries need to be changed. Even with a 2nd set of batteries I can realistically only get about 30-40minutes of work out of it.
Yes, this is what I want to see. how big it can cut, I have seen so many reviews but all just small branches. It would be great if you can make a video of Makita 36V 400mm for how big it can cuts. thanks
Does it over heat and shut off if you do back to back cutting? I have the 18volt one and it overheats all the time. Wondering if I would have the same issue with the 36volt.
Nice. As a camping/travelling saw, how is the oil leakage? Every chain saw I've owned leaks bar oil. I tend to carry a reciprocating saw with a 150mm blade because of the oil issue but I'd rather take a chain saw. Personally, I use croks instead of thongs.....much safer :)
Positive Aspect I have owned this saw for many years now and it’s been awesome.. I store the chainsaw and spare batteries in a small tool bag .. Unlike my stihl petrol chainsaw which leaks bar oil and petrol The makita saw has never leaked any oil. The battery chainsaw has an E-brake which instantly stops the chain from spinning when finger is released from switch stopping kickbacks. Very safe to operate.
Depending on what amp batteries you have, 5 amp batts you get around 20-30 mins of heavy use but Its more suited for lite duty. if you need to cut a lot of large timber then buy a more powerful petrol chainsaw with a longer cutting bar..

And this is safety in action right here!
Ed Johnson I have my safety glasses on...
Pretty sure some safety thongs would have been good...

Impressive power and speed. Thanks for uploading.

техника безопасности на высоте
Кстати да! В шлепках и босиком, работать цепной пилой на уровне ног....
ตัดได้ดีครับ
I just bought one. They are fucking great..
Seems pretty good for a battery powered.

About how many of those 8 to 10 inch cuts did you get from a single dual bat charge?
how long does the batteries last ? 20 minutes? 10 slices ?

Seems slow compared to the Milwaukee!
Sycamore, about as tough as oak on a saw.
That is slow af
