I think it's fantastic how you guys can turn your hand to everything, I also think it's fantastic the way you explain things in great detail without being patronizing, keep up the good work 👍
Always inspirational. Love to watch the long videos and the shorts. Top jobs, fellas👍. BTW, you still not giving away who dunnit (custom runner manufacture). Who knows, they might get some biz from your subscribers 😉
Amazing video as always guys, you're my go to channel for all things house renovation as they're not only very helpful but also funny. Can I ask where you can buy that little spacer for measuring between your grippers?
I would have done this, I just got the removable ones instead because my dogs can seem to not poop on them every once in a while. This is a wonderful option though maybe one day
Great video! Super professional. Question - if you wanted to remove the runner and underlay at some point, how would the spray effect the wood stairs? How easy is it to remove? Cheers!
Great video and thanks for sharing! Can you tell me which staples you use for that type of runner? Crown size and leg length if possible, thanks again, subscribed.
Is there a reason you used spray adhesive for the underlay in this video? I've watched a couple of your videos now where you've used a stapler previously
What happens if the person wants to change the runner for any reason. It's permanently stuck. I've took my stair carpet up and it was an absolute nightmare to get off the bottom steps and corners as the glue was like super glue and it left the stairs in a right state.
My stair carpet (was here when I bought the house, didn’t change it), is old and foam backed and whoever put it in, glued it to the stairs, now the foam is perishing, and the carpet is coming away and my god yesterday I was trying to clean it all up and getting foam dust everywhere and in my lungs, and yesterday I was just like f it, and stapled it all back down for now, with a staple gun, lol. I need a new carpet but I can’t deal with all that foam at the moment, swept a lot of it up but I wouldn’t recommend anyone stick a foam carpet to their stairs.
@Hevva67 oh no! Its such a pain when a job turns into a nightmare. The foam was glued to the rest of my stairs but no foam dust trying to get it off but luckily only the middle edge of the step was glued so I've scrapped as much as i can off then soaked what's left in sticky stuff remover. I'm not bothered getting it all off, just as long as its flat and no chunks left as it won't be seen as new underlay going on anyway. Good luck with yours, maybe do a couple of steps at a time so it's not overwhelming.😏🙏
Unfortunately this video is very basic and I was expecting you guys concentrate on winders how to fit them in straight line and how it extends to make it square. Straight stairs are 10 minutes work and is straight forward without watching this video. I am looking forward seeing a video which explains whether we cut from a big piece of carpet to make it square or there is a different technique that works. This video skips all the winders.
Black tape ,!👌 after 50 years why did I not think of this 😊 great job guys .

good job .and very informative
So nice of you
Where can I find the carpet runner you used? I'm looking for that particular pattern.
I looked EVERYWHERE for this exact runner and can't find a thing 😢
For what it's worth, you can find similar products by searching "herringbone runner with border"
@chriscraddock7015 I think it's Anderson Tuftex Always Natural. I just got the same stuff for my new stairs.
well done guys

Awesome! Thank you!
It’s a stealth gripper spacer 😊
Amazing🔥🤩👍
Thanks 🔥
Can you use staples and carpet tape instead of grippers... had grippers once but we kept jagging our heels

These spray can be cleaned of with a solvent cleaner 😊

Can’t be worse than the perished foam back of a carpet that I’m trying to remove with a wallpaper stripper tool.
Buy an adjustable straight edge, i use one all the time for grippers, ulay and door bars👌
Good shout mate 😊👌🏼
And that ladies and gentlemen os why carpeting costs so much to install. You pay for attention to detail .
Can you use grippers under the bullnose part of the step ?
How do you fit the edges (bonding/binding?) to the runner?
That’s something we out source 😊
@@homeimprovements interesting! can you recommend a company (UK)?
Would you guys recommend gripper and underlay on the top band when doing this with whipped carpet?
Great video and thanks for sharing! Can you tell me which staples you use for that type of runner? Crown size and leg length if possible, thanks again, subscribed.
I’ll try find out we borrowed this one and thanks appreciate it 😊👏🏼

This was a different installation type 😊

What if the carpet has a crazy pattern of whatever on it how would you go about joining the 2 pieces so that the pattern matches
On the stairs ? Not really possible unless you cut every step individually 😊
How can you build stairs? As in the riser and tread, yourself. Looking to redo my stairs and one pair on tread and riser is £60.
Nice job - where is that runner from, can you link please?
Custom made we have a video of the process 😊
Watches you's doing your wall panels pic the easiest mate show them how to do the stair case
What ?
How much would the full compressor set and gun cost ? Electric guns these days are crap
Тяжело будет мыть ковёр
Step by step? Pun intended?
🤣👌🏼
You cannot be serious! Were this my house, I'm withholding all monies due until the job is completed, CORRECTLY!
Ahahahahaha I bet you any money you wouldn’t pal
