This is an easy step by step beginners guide for all DIYers.
All rooms are different and we will show you how to install grippers and underlay. How to easily unwrap and unroll your carpet in your room and how to stretch, cut, tuck and scrub your carpet for a perfect finish.
We will demonstrate how to easily cut carpet around corners and radiator pipes and top tips to get a great finish when installing your carpet.

I've watched quite a few clips on fitting carpet and this is absolutely the best by a country mile. Nothing has been taken for granted, everything has been explained. Showing how to fold the carpet is amazing. I had no idea how to get a 4m roll of carpet up a 130yo cottage narrow staircase. Thank you so much. This, this is the way tutorials on UA-cam should be explained. As an autistic visual leaner (apparently it's not pc to even call myself the R word 😅) I need clear instructions and explanation. I've just fitted my home studio carpet after watching this (4 to 6 times just to lock that info into my brain 😂) the carpet is perfect so honestly boys, take a f***ing bow 🙌💪🔥💙

Great job lads, and good instruction. Nice to see you didn't cut the Vs off around the pipes, was one of my pet hates, I was taught to tuck them in. I learnt 40 years ago, and probably 1 in 4 of the carpets we fitted was an Axminster, so had to get the pattern straight, and pattern match HSL it was great to see the back of patterned carpets the job became a lot easier and faster, if it makes a comeback fitters will recall the good old days when it was all twist.
Yes I remember that, I was always taught to tuck around the pipes so if the radiator was ever moved it was an easy repair.
I also remember when fitting Axminster folding the bottom rise on a step so they could be moved if they started to wear. All man made rubbish these days.

I always use a power stretcher over a knee kicker
Love the mention of putting 2 pins in small bits of gripper. Winds me up so much seeing a job with flappy bits👍👍

If you guys buy a power stretcher like the polls or bear claw it will actually stretch the carpet and ripples won’t appear after words
I’ve fitted thousands and used a power stretcher a couple of times, no need for them if you know what you’re doing, no ruckles ever appear on my jobs.
Love this. Any advise on how to remove carpet, to relocate it into a new home? Our carpet isnt old, so want to take it with us in the hope we may get 2 rooms done.
