Building An EH Holden Ute With A Nissan RB 26 | Preparing For The Chassis
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 лис 2022
- Welcome back to Pro Shop. Today we are preparing this EH Ute for the new chassis. First I need to build a frame for the body to mount to then I can remove the entire floor. This was a dirty job and noisy job as the floor and inner sills needed to be completely removed and cleaned out of all the sand that had accumulated in there from the sandblasting before I can seal and strengthen them back up.
As always thanks to my beautiful partner Anika for the video edit

Good evening, Pete, I am binge watching to catchup. I am truly impressed with your attention to detail. Cheers
Thanks Andrew. Much appreciated
Far out what a mission..Alot of rust in it. You basically rebuilding everything .. Good job Pro Shop.
Thanks Rod. Yeah it’s a massive job
as a 17 year old kid up in northern rivers nsw my father gave me a EH ute shell had the rusty floor thing I got as far as oxy cutting the rear floor out left four inches of the rails still attached to the rear inner beaver panel.. I’ve removed from behind the seat back…and the inner sides and wheel wells still intact as with the front floors and tunnel . It’s weird as there’s no rust in the upper plenum chamber roof or gutters sill panels I found a good set of sub frames and found good doors and tailgate at Coffs on marketplace so body wise I need grille bonnet and guards and stone tray so from after my 17 birthday I lived my life as a panel beater and now I’m 45 I found the same eh ute again in a barn on a farm out bush by word of mouth at the local pub in The exact same condition as I left it when I was 17 it’s in my shed now … ANYWAY love your work Pete always look forward to seeing your videos amazing work you do .
That's amazing. I always look forward to your stories Michael. Thanks for sharing
Mate one of the best Aussie channels on UA-cam at the moment keep up the great work 👍
Thanks, will do!
What a tease. Nice work mate
😆 Cheers
Looking good mate
Thanks 👍
You are living the dream Pete. So many of us dream of doing that kind of thing every day. Keep the content coming mate. Your definitely my favourite Aussie channel by far. 👍🏻
Thanks Nick. Putting these videos out has made me really appreciate what I do. Feedback like yours and from other people make me want to keep doing it. Thanks for watching. 🙏
@@ProShop1 I live on the Central Coast and I can honestly say if I was in a position, I’d offer you free labour just to work alongside you to learn what you know. I admire your attention to detail and perfectionism. Keep it up mate, you are a true master of your trade.
Hopefully in the near future I can offer you just that. I really want to open my workshop up for anyone to come and learn what I do. More of a shared workspace than just a workshop.
what a great job your doing
Cheers Owen
Off to a good start, looking forward to following along.
It's going to be a good one.
Looking forward to seeing this build!!
You are a messiah of metal man 🤙🏽
Thanks Mark. I appreciate that!
To have the knowledge to be able to do this I would have rebuilt some old classics myself..
Looking forward to the next video
Thanks Reg
Man, that's a lot to cut out. Can't wait to see the new metal go back in, that's gonna be a big job.
Yeah but it will be less work in the long run.
Looking forward to the metal work. Just a side note though, might want to wear a respirator when doing that much plasma cutting. When I was younger I never thought about such things, but now that I am older, the years and years of "it will be fine" catch up to you.
Yeah you are right James. I should know better. Thanks for caring.
Love your work bro just wish the vids were longer lol
Thanks Joe. I wish they were too👍
I hope you keep the fuel flap I like that look
Yeah I think it looks good with it.
Awesome
Thanks Bill
Another excellent video
Thanks again Andrew!
Great work Pete, one day my Nova might get this sort of respect! #artist
Yes and my Sprinter too😆
Very Cool
Looks like you've played Knifey Spoony before! lol Surprising how much sand n crap was caught inside all the cavities!
Always love a Simpson quote😄
Great work ❤
Thanks Ken

Thanks Mark. I had an XK sedan I wish I never got rid off. Such a cool car.
About to do all this myself. Awesome work boys. Any tips?
Thanks Sam. I’ll let you know as the build progresses
@@ProShop1 hope to see it finished. I invasion a stroked Sbc t700 with 4 link rear in mine. Nice Rd car/cruiser. All the best
So are you guys actually a shop or UA-cam?
We are a workshop.
@@ProShop1 I’m looking for a builder like you to do a project. Send me a pm with your details
Hey I believe that's a EJ ute as it has a fule flap EH Ute's don't have the fule flap
Unless it's been changed before hand
Your right is does have an EJ fuel flap but it’s definitely an EH. Someone sometime put an EJ quarter on it.
Sorry - its not an EH - its an EJ - EJ's had a flap for the petrol filler and EH's had a screw cap exposed flush with the mudguard. I had both in the 60's and remember the difference well!
Everyone has been saying the same thing but it definitely is an EH. It just has an EJ quarter on it with the fuel flap.
Thats a EJ body not a EH I had one back in the late sixties it was an old PMG ute great car
Actually it is an EH. It just has an EJ rear quarter on it with the fuel flap. It had me fooled until I checked the body number.
Nothing like a challenge. Nothing is impossible. It's just that some things are a little more difficult and time consuming than others
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Thanks Andrew.
