I saw Megadeth last May in Montréal & it was great, but the album wasn't out, so we didn't get any new songs. I'll go again if they come this year. I find the title song: The Sick, the Dying and the Dead amazing. The outro with the ''die, die, die!'' and the trash punk riff along with the haunting solo...Just a winner combo for me. The video is really great too. Great album. Mustaine's still got it! Heavy and fast as ever.
It's like an old man saying "in my age" bullshit, thinking the things were better back in the days, while in reality things were the same or even worse.
I went to one of those shows. Korn opening up for Megadeth in 94 I think. Port Chester NY if I'm not mistaken. Korn was getting bigger by the week -- just a month earlier I saw them in a small club. Then with megadeth for a few thousand people, and a few months later they were headlining places like that. I loved rust in peace but megadeth already felt a little dated at the time.
I unfortunately agree, I usually never judge an era of rock music and came into it during the emo hard rock era and love tons of music from 70s, 80, 90, and 2000s, but I can't understand why stuff like imagine dragons is so big. I was watching sweet home which is a KOREAN horror show and fucking imagine dragons kept playing and ruined so many scenes.
