@@andersonsim2043 Based on power gen3 paddle, it’s actually more prefer 14mm as its level of power is less, which is easier for control, but now got news saying some powerful paddle will be banned from usap in 18 months from2025. Based on my understanding of pickleball, i prefer to try apes pulse S or V for the prices considering and the wider sweetspot. But mod-Ta 15 worth to try but not the price.

@ 16mm mod-ta 15 is not uncontrollable but its harder to master as the spring effect on 16mm is more significant. There will be a harder learning curve on 16mm mod-ta15.

@@Miowmio But mod-ta15, or any gen 3 paddle will be different. 14mm is more controllable as how the foam cores works.
@@alvinchan6205 so what you mean is the 14 / 16 mm rule only applied to gen 2 paddle then. noted. for gen 3 is 14mm is controllable and 16mm is not.
