I did this on Jun 1 with a "game bird mix" Haven't seen any emergence yet but the clover came back in full bloom 🌺 and the chicory is filling back in. I'm considering replanting rye when rain is in the forecast for the excellent side cover. I'm back to 14 hours day length in Aug/Sept so it should flower
@@figandcloverranch5871 I've never tried it either but i'll keep you updated. If I could get it back to 4' + before the end of the growing season I'd be happy. My clover and alfalfa use it as vertical support and seem to get much bushier and the deer tend to stay longer with the cover it provides 🦌 Not sure how the sorghum and millet (if it comes up) will withstand the browse pressure.
@@georgehelzer7569 Josh from Whitetail Driven Solutions used to do it all the time back before he had all the big toys🚜. But I like to try new things and haven’t done it this way yet . As always thanks for watching and commenting👍🏼
@@figandcloverranch5871 Yeah you are right, I did see it there too... I tend to think these guys all follow eachother and then create content from the others.. LOL I still love to watch... To eat up with deer hunting and management to throw a nose up at it. Keep putting out the videos. Im not sure if I dont remember or what, but I really noticed your property in this video and the summer view looked rally nice. Looked like a few hinge cuts were thriving too.
@@georgehelzer7569 def true. There’s only soo many ways to boil an egg . So after a while it does seem like everyone is in same cycles and patterns . But I love it and am obsessed with it too . So I watch them all . --thanks for noticing my property . It’s coming together , Slowly over the years . But too slow for my taste and I work at it more then most 🤷🏻♂️ (at least I think soo)
Nice looking plot
Thank you soo much !!! Added more screening this year to it !! Bucks are still weary to linger too long in it. . Trying to rectify that🦌🦌🦌🦌
Good stuff brother! I'm planning on using Green Covers fall mix later this summer! Hunting season will be here soon, can't wait!
Yep! Can’t wait to get that bow in my hand and over seed all this with Rye. Thanks for watching and commenting 👨🏻👍🏼

I know who he is , but don’t get your reference , … sounds like I did something right !???? 🤔 what I do ??
@@figandcloverranch5871 He is the only one Ive seen this year or the past couple years trying the throw and Mow process.
