No Till Food Plot Summer Update - Exclusion Cage 🌱🥬- #notill #foodplots #habitat #deerhunting
This is the result of two months of growing my “ summer release seed”by the Green Cover seed company in my no till food plot. You can see inside the exclusion cage, the stark difference of the vegetation growth and density as compared to the rest of the food plot. I have a large amount of deer feeding pressure this summer. I did something different and didn’t kill back my clover from its frost seed spring planting with herbicide, I just came in seated into the standing rye and terminated it with my Weedwhacker .

Its important to have strong shoulders and back muscles in order to execute a perfect shot on your game animals. sometimes it’s not possible to get out into the field or a place where you can practice shooting your bow. This is the importance of creating deer habitat and particularly Deer Trails to control and help direct your deer lines of movement. By giving them (the Deer) open areas to travel with low pressure, you maintain your deer herds daily patterns without disturbing them while hunting. It takes just a small amount of time and material to make an environment that will show you the difference of your food plot with deer pressure in contrast to your food plot with no deer pressure. It’s a very helpful tool to see how your food plot plants are actually growing #white...

I think I’d be tempted to Imox that plot and turn it into a perennial clover and chicory plot. Cheaper in the long run and you already have a great stand of clover. Just thicken up this fall and then frost seed in spring if you need to. Hot chic or comeback kid from domain.

Give those deers something else for thier pallets , make them wanna come to me that’s why I am going to add the chicory / rye ….. Maybe oats instead of rye this year
