    Got my hands on Scaler for the first time today and my mind is blown. Looking for every bit of information about it right now. This thing is a beast

    My thanks to the developers for all the help in getting Scaler 2.5 running and licensed! I am running it in ACID Pro 10 Suite, and had been learning it in evaluation mode while we worked toward a fix to get the license accepted. It finally worked late today - I am amazed at the capabilities of this plugin, but even more so, at the level of help the developers gave me! Thank you!

    I'm going to follow up on the post below. I went to the Scaler bug report forum, and was helped greatly by the devs and other users. Although I didn't get an answer to my issue, the fact that everyone tried to help was great!
    I ultimately figured out the problem with the help of a friend. He suggested that I try reinstalling the demo version, running the install .exe in administrative mode. This is in Windows 7, with the VST3 in ACID Pro 10 Suite. Scaler installed, and I no longer have the problem with it crashing ACID after selecting different internal Scaler instruments. The demo is working reliably, and I will purchase the full version within a couple of days. Thanks to all at Scaler!

    Brilliant!
    I use your ideas about the phrases programmed in Scaler on Ableton with Opus Orchestrator
    It's quite different from how you use it in Cubase with Sonokinetic instruments (which I don't have). I don't have Divisimate either (which I'm starting to like too much, because of you, hehe) but I always get very good ideas from your videos.
    Thank you

    Hi, great videos, like you usually do!!!! I think that this concept of having SCALER be the Master controller its even better now with its just released version 2.7 Check it out, love to hear from you on how this new version works as a master controller, specially using Band in a Box.... Thanks!!!!

    I should probably ask you for advise on which orchestral VST's to get during this sales season, but on the other hand I understand only parts of what you are achieving so maybe my time has yet to come. Thanks for another cool video.

      That's a good idea for a video. So many new products. Often I think what would I buy if I was starting from scratch again. In my opinion some sample players are definitely better then others.

      @@41Fingers I LITERALLY came here to ask for 2 things... 1.) Templates & 2.) Guides on which VSL Synchronized library to get (Special Edition or Synchronized Package)... they're product labelling is the most confusing i've dealt with in my 45 years of life on the planet. LOL
      So I fully support the ideal of an Orchestral suggestive guide. Also a "Kontakt:How to", since many of us new people have been able to use custom players made by Developers and didn't come up at a time when most everything was through the Kontakt player, so it's a little bit difficult for some of us to wrap our heads around.
      Thank you for any consideration which you give this.
      Happy Holidays to you and your familiy.

    Hey there! Thank you for your insights! I use Cubase also and just got Scaler 2.5. I am able to use Scaler to control midi of other instruments. Would you know why I am not able to load any of Scaler internal sound?

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  2 роки тому

      Hi Desmond, scalers internal sounds are built in to the program and should play, make sure the sound you want is turned on and the track is not muted. also make sure scaler is active and turned on as sometimes when using it to play other sounds you forget to turn it back on.

  • @BourkeMedia

    Just downloaded the demo version and loaded the VST3 in ACID Pro 10 Suite. Just doing tutorials, but it crashes the program after I change the internal instrument patches a few times. Hard crash - ACID closes. Want to make sure it's solid before purchasing. Running on Windows 7 Ultimate, HP Z800, Dual quad processors with 48GB RAM.

    Really interesting video. Do you know if it’s possible to use Scaler in the same way in GarageBand?

  • @ettiennelane9173

    Does it have humanization to vary the velocity as well as timing of patterns slightly? Do the included sounds have round robins and legato? Can you play your own patterns to be used in Scaler?

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  2 роки тому +1

      scaler 2.5 has a basic velocity humanize but many feel its too strong but it has many settings for rhythm humanization. the included sounds do not have round robbins or true legato as far as I know. Many use vst instruments to play scaler

      Hi Lesiba, If you scroll way back to my 1st scaler videos I show how to set up the inputs of a track to have scaler control it or play it. very simple in cubase, but if you use a different daw you may have to consult the manual or ask here again stating your daw type and maybe someone can help you.
