I moved from Los Angeles to Clearwater six years ago today. Bought a house that has tripled in value since. Best decision I have ever made. Very safe, great neighbors, great schools. I love it here. If you are thinking about moving here, just do it, you won't regret it one bit. My entire family has moved out of Cali, my kids are in their mid 30's, and they love it here as well. Great community, great place to raise kids. Can't say enough about Clearwater/Dunedin and Safety Harbor. Love love love it.
I moved there 12 years ago from PA and got priced out two years ago by all the people moving from NY and California. It is absolutely nothing like it used to be! Heavy traffic, accidents, crime and congestion. Parking on the beaches used to be free.
Born and raised here in Clearwater, I have been all over the united states and love coming back to Clearwater more than anywhere else! I love this town.
It looks like most if not all the house in the Tampa Bay are way too old for my taste. How far do I have to move away from Tampa to get into a house built after 2017 or so?
Clearwater,Dunedin, upper largo, palm harbor, and tarpon springs are not dangerous. Compared to everywhere else in Florida it’s safe. Lived there for a year and never had a single problem and I’m from Chicago so I know what dangerous is.
Agreed. We bought a place in Dunedin 3 years ago. We walk and bike everywhere at all hours of the day and night. Never had a problem. Everyone is very chill. Very few unsavory characters around as far as I can tell. So far. The place has really started to get crowded in the last year though. Beautiful area and we love it! Check out some of the beaches on Honeymoon Island if you visit for sure.
There isn't a whole lot of public transportation unless you're willing to bike a reasonable distance, but downtown tampa and possibly some parts of South Tampa would be your best bet.
Hey there! There are quite a few good options for veterans. If you'd like to reach out to me via email at info@livingintampafl.com I'd love to help advise you on the different areas!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Church of Scientology and its presence in Clearwater. Just from Googling what is happening with the Church in Clearwater, there appears to be substantial "issues" that people might want to consider before deciding to purchase a home there. We are big Dunedin fans. We rented a home there one winter and loved the convenience of being so close to the charming downtown. It seemed like 1/3 of the vehicles on the road were street legal golf carts ... so fun! If we didn't buy a home in Tampa (to be closer to our daughter and SIL), we would have loved to live in Dunedin. Thanks for another informative video!
Just like any city, some areas have higher crime than others, I would say Clearwater is safe overall though. Local crime maps of specific areas are always a good resource I recommend for particular neighborhoods!
Although my team focuses on the buying and selling side of real estate, I have a great recommendation for an agent that specializes in rentals! Feel free to reach out via email (info@livingintampafl.com) for her contact if you are interested.
Why would a person, even a person over 55, want to live in a 55+ Community? I'm 55 and don't want to be in a community where my kids couldn't visit me and stay two or three weeks.
There are definitely pros and cons and they aren't a great fit for everyone! For some they offer a great sense of community, always have organized activities, and provide a maintenance free lifestyle.
💗❤❤💞This Gospel message if you continue to believe this message, you will be saved: For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time,
🛐🙏😭Heavenly Father JesusGod, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"

I can't wait to visit (scope out/recon places to move to from Sacramento). Any pointers or recommendations?
How do you like the lifeless downtown, high homeless population and scientologists there?

Great video, great breakdown. I live right by the original hooters so yeah lol. I love safety harbor, and Dunedin
Enjoy the channel. Plan on retiring and relocating to the Tampa area. Could you do a video on 55+ retirement communities?
Thanks for watching, that's a good idea!

Downtown Tampa can be much further considering I275 traffic, it’s packed all day and it can take an extra 30 mins from the airport
Not long ago I visited a friend in Tampa for 6 weeks. Trekked to Clearwater Beach almost everyday, worth the drive.
Glad you guys had a good time!

It's a tad more humid and you have some different bugs lol. Feel free to call or email me and i'd love to help you out.

Clearwater, Florida
Largo, Dunedin, and those other areas are their own cities. You made it seem like they’re neighborhoods in Clearwater.
Correct! They are their own cities.
you got any houses for sale next to hulk hogan?
So is st petersburg better?
It's largely dependent on the person. Many people enjoy both st. pete and clearwater!
Is clearwater safe ?
