“I’m not sure I wanna know my future.” Rest up king
THE 'WEAK' NEVER DO
We all face the same fate ultimately, it's just a matter of how and when.
Death....everyone's future eventually.
No one should take the action to take their own life when it is so preciously lived and given.
@@rollingrizzo1291 he was battling substance abuse and mental health for decades. he mentioned how a bad burger at an airport put him in a state of depression for days. we're lucky he lived and shared his life for as long as he did. if one's life is to just exist then is it really living at all?
Whenever I watch Tony’s shows I always feel like I was a part of his experience. He connects with people like no one can. He is definitely missed.
Whenever i hear his voice, everything in this world immediately feels ok
The Malay lady who went shopping with Tony was a sweetheart.
There is only one Anthony Bourdain. He is so relatable.
He’s dead
Tony is still the best! No one can replace him...
This is easily my favorite show Bourdain ever did. Something about the early 2000s aesthetic is so nostalgic for me and always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside lol. It's a shame this show only lasted two seasons but I still come back for a rewatch every year or two. It just captured that point in time so well and felt so natural. Nothing is over-produced, it's just Tony giving it to us straight. Just love the whole vibe of this show so much.
the 'not wanting to know his future' line hits deep
He reached a level that today's youtubers have not achieved.
They never WILL🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼LEGEND
Yesss. Gone too soon. A king amongst men
He made me as a teenager want to travel, to try new foods, meals I’ve never experienced, and want to cook more. Tony is missed by so many of us. ❤
Thanks for sharing! He's inspired so many and glad to hear he's inspired you, too!
this is my 1st time seeing A Cooks tour and man it is a different take from PArts Unkwon. More raw and vlog type, but cool cuz u get to see more of Anthony just being himself and tlaking. Atleast thats what it seems from this epsiode.
Was not a big fan of Parts Unknown. Too political. Tony looked exhausted towards the end. Prefer No Reservations & A Cook's Tour. More snark.
I only seen the no reservations and parts unknown but these are good too
The CNN show had no soul; the ultimate packaging of Anthony B into an American consumer product. I'm sure Tony knew it. Cooks Tour was the real deal.
This single episode, put Singapore on the map for foodies, and we Singaporeans are forever grateful for Tony. Thank you Chef, when you left us, it left deep void in our country. We deeply miss you Tony.
A true intelligent rockstar. It's bitter sweet watching these
What a great way of expression of the great Tony, um, sorry, Tony was best!!! Miss him forever, his genius will never be equalled and it comes with a whole lot of sensitivity? Another Bourdain, never, never!!!
I miss Tony so much. RIP
Miss you. Tony. The world was a better place with you in it. I hope you are at peace, wherever you are, my friend.
I could watch this episode over and over again. Thank God you’ll always be with us through your books and shows Tony.
Amen!
Beef Rendang is not just a stew with spices. It is the best dish in the world, there is no competition. I've lived in Malaysia for 27 years, I think I've eaten at least 12 cows worth of Rendang.
I basically live for food thanks to this guy. So glad I can live it daily.
While I love beef rendang myself, I think it’s a bold claim to single it out as the best dish in the world. For instance, if we take similar dishes, the French beef Bourguignon and the Japanese beef stew is right up there.
In Minangkabau originally it's buffalo rendang.
@@sonny9054 I respectfully disagree
I always liked this series of his more than Parts Unknown since he talks about food, food, food. I like knowing about different cultures too and that is why No Reservations is my favorite series of his. I learned how to open my mind and mouth and ate anything I could that resembled the wonderfully extensive tastes and flavors of so many cultures around the world. Twenty years after watching these for the first time I can alread see changes in food and eating on a world wide menu and some of it has to do with Tony's shows.
Agreed, No Reservations was more him being genuine.
Parts Unknown started well but ended up looking like an art project and Tony quoting random bits of literature to seem like an intellectual.
We already knew he was smart.
Totally agree, in fact here is Tony at his deadpan hilarious self: @18:41 😂 Cheers
Why do I feel so pissed watching Tony's videos now? I feel same watching Robin Williams stuff. Suicide is so difficult to understand. You just don't know what's really going on in their heads. My father committed suicide 17 years ago. But he was 92 and dying from cancer. These 2 however we're young and apparently everything to live for. Rip Tony. I'll keep watching..
Tony told his Homie, "I know you've eaten Donkey Butt" and he said it with a straight face. Bros wasn't even offended. Dude is Hilarious!!!🤣✌
"Tough town for lefties" cracked me up.
Left hand it’s use for something else in those part of culture
@@frank4245 not what he meant lol
lmao I just got the double meaning
Tony made us want to travel. We can see pictures, videos and hear sounds from videos. Of places and lands and of peoples. What is missing from the experience is the smells and the taste. He gave us this hunger for it. Thank you Tony. You are sorely missed.
8:57 I love this cute old lady's chuckle.
HAHAHAHAHHA
A well-prepared beef rendang is one of the best culinary delights a person can experience.
A pity that this man left us too soon. Always remembered!
May he RIP already.
Bwahahahaha….Bourdain is and was a legend long before anybody knew him. This has got to be one of the best and funniest video. He will live forever!
The Caddyshack reference is what nails this little bit of film.
This was AB's finest hour. Raw and unfiltered. It was genius. You are missed beyond words.
god theres two sides to watching tony for me now and it will always be like that for the rest of my time. RIP man i get the pain and struggle
a better food show is yet to be made. legend
7:56 this look hits better in 2021. Tony was ahead of his time.
I miss you Tony
Singapore is awesome
Great episode. Tony was on fire!
That oriental dude at the last segment reminds me of my closest friends when theyre drunk and trying to recommend a place to eat. The mannerisms, expressions and all.
We miss you Tony 💓
love the daily uploads rip ant
I love this show sooooo muchh
“Have you ever had a Denny’s grand slam?”😂😂
that sleeveless flannel @13:40 is fuckin legendary hahaha Tony's a rockstar.
That's not flannel... Sleeveless collared shirts were actually trendy at one time.
Someday I will make it to Danny's Sin Huat Eating House. That seafood looks fantastic.
Hell yeah, and hopefully with a few hungry and thirsty mates to make a banquet out of it!
14:00 The bird was right. Wealth was in his fortune and future. But so was the itch.
We wish you didn't have to scratch that itch, Tony.
Lolol "a dark colored yang don't know if I like that"
Thanks dude 👍❤️🇦🇺
Those plates at the end looked amazing
Always wanted to go to Singapore when I was in SE Asia but never made it. I've heard the food is a good reason to go.
Made me wanna travel, and got parts unknown inked on me, a cooks tour could be next, rip chef
One of the funniest videos I have seen ! 😂
So so good and interesting
Singapore is the GREATEST food city in the world. The food is a mix of Chinese, Malay, Indonesia, Thai, Indian, Middle Easten, and European. In addition to that, you get some of the BEST traditional French (and other European), Japanese, Korean, and Chinese restaurants in the world there.
that sleeveless shirt in the second half lmao love it
Tony"s legacy lives forever...
He’s dead
when you drunk everything tastes great.
Legend say she's still explaining those spices 😁😁
Rockin that sleeveless shirt
Great Loss and Well Missed What A Great Soul
YOU BROKE THE MOLD🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼LEGEND BOURDAIN
Master Seto! 🙏🙏🙏
Fukin classic Anthony. He's good sport. RIP brother !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good stuff
WoW !!
17:56 I like the way this guy thinks
9:33 love that laugh
She was all too happy to promote that 'superman wine' :)
All of the seafood dishes has my tunge doing back flips
God I miss him
He’s dead
That cut off blue and white chequered shirt is just too lit
This is probably the best episode 🤣
The Cooks Tale, it "story" is good.
So that "Doctor" was basically like the chiropractors I've seen in the US
Yes
It’s good.
Interesting seafood!! G
no limits how to enjoying food till you use just your barehand. Bourdain's is the michelin variety of food. Really missed him on food adventure.
this video was filmed before 2004 AT LEAST, this is the old geylang serai when i was a kid, and im in my 30s now.
You're right. It was released 2002-2003. www.imdb.com/title/tt0306306/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Egg white + scallop fried rice is the best 👌
such a good combo
whats the 3rd piece of the 3 piece unit?
Nice reference at the end to the young man who got caned for spitting his chewing gum on the ground in Singapore not too many years before this episode aired..!
What? Not even close. He threw paint on a $300k Mercedes then refused to admit it even though they were caught red-handed. His 2 other friends admitted it and got off with warnings. And Clinton intervened to get his sentence reduced to the minimum 3 strokes.
BS Clown 🤡🤥
ts been over 20 years and tony is right. the prophet.
the last thing i had was deer tendon 15 hours ago
come back.plz
When I was in Singapore napkins were an option.
His so gd to watch and listen too funny too. SINGAPORE GREAT PLACE TO BE CLEAN HEALTHY NO BEGGARS NO CORRUPTION SAME AS CLEAN JAPAN NO GOLDDIGGERS
My intestines hurt watching this first meal
11:40 those are beef lungs, not liver
"I'm not sure if I wanna know my future..." 😳😳😭
what is Tony wearing at 13:43 ? Did he lose a bet with a producer? lol
I love you
Yea, I will have to eat that crab bihoun before I die.
Back when Singapore was relatively unknown, low profile. It’s cuisine wasn’t as hyped as how it is today
If Anthony was too yang probably shouldn't have had that glass of superman wine.
I miss his voice
Just discovered this guy today! He seems really cool! Wonder what he's up to these days, this video looks old
You don’t know? 😮
@@mariawerner8447 He owns a restaurant?
@@armorykittington He committed suicide in 2018
@@mariawerner8447 no way
@@armorykittington Sadly yes - at about the same time as Kate Spade and Avicii 😣
RIP
He had higher blood pressure before the medicinal meal (a red face & colour in the lips) & it was lowered after the meal (a paler complexion in the face & less colour in the lips)
Amazing places all….I “might” be missing them…😐
I'm lost they used their fingers to eat the rice... then used a fork right after for the next dish...Wow I woulda jus used the fork the whole time. SMH lol 🥺😂😂😂😑🙄🙄 RIP Anthony Bourdain
A lot of cultures use their clean hands to eat food. The fork was used to serve a portion from a shared dish.
New York you sure have got your work cut out you for in the next 3 years. This video title did not age well.
If anything, they have the car in reverse.
That sleeveless shirt did not age well.
Are they using OMNY in the subways yet or is it still MetroCard?
@@tracydanneo OMNY is now available on all subway stations and buses. However, it's not as widely used as it should because unlimited weekly or monthly plans aren't available yet, though that's not much of a concern if we are hybrid remote-working (and spending less time and $ commuting).
I would love to start using OMNY, but I still have a couple of MetroCards still full of money, and I only ride two fares a week (one day of office work).
@@urbananalrapist thanks for the update!
itchy rich
Rogan sent me back here
I too have a dark colored yang, it's in my pants.
Snarky Bourdain is the best. He seemed tired and lost towards the end. That last show had too much social justice BS.
Now we know why he did not want to know his fate.
He did have dark yang.
As the Singapore tv chef said,
Eating as they dew is only good for the medical community.
