The T10 illumination LEDs that I got made tiny spots on the dash instead of the light spreading out across the gages. I ended up leaving the stock PC194 bulbs.

They will work in your truck also. Don’t cheap out on them though. It’s one of those things that you get what you pay for. Good LED’s will last as long or longer than regular bulbs. When you order them get the T10 with 1/2” sockets.
What is the standard wattage bulb, and whats the best wattage led to get. Also I notice that there are 2 different size types of twist locks is the 1/2" the big ones, and what size are the smaller ones that are the blinkers, parking brake ect? Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions.
Ebay and Amazon have product compatibility tests for specific vehicles, every time I check the T5 and or T10, with any seller, it says these are not compatible with my '92 Silverado. Which size is for the instruments, like speedometer, fuel, oil, etc and which is the smaller size for the warning lights, like seat belt, check engine etc.
That's odd that only one is different. Mine actually still lit up yellow. If you want to change needle color you will have to take them off and paint them or get aftermarket needles. I painted my needles blue. You can see it in my other video of the climate control light swap.
Hmm. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure the bulbs are making good contact. Try pulling down the contacts on the bulbs a little bit to get a little tighter connection.

+Raulcane69 They are 194 bulbs but I'd get the ones that come with the twist locks. The stock bulbs are soldered into the twist locks and are a pain to get out.
Bryan Johnson what kind of LED bulb could I purchase instead of the Sylvania 194 standard stock Chevy LED bulb what about aftermarket should it take t5 or t10 please let me know thank you so much for your video it was awesome you're the whole reason why I want to change my cluster lights
Jeremy I'm glad you liked the video. Check out my other videos. I also put leds in the climate control and painted the gauge needles blue. You might want to see that as well.
When I did mine. It's like the needles light up more than anything. Its hard to see the numbers and gauges.
That’s interesting. The lights aren’t separate for the needles and numbers. It should all be lit the same
I have one bulb that always flickers and looses power on my dash but its not the bulb. Something else is causing it to do that. Could it be something wrong in cluster. HELP
I’ve had that problem before. It was just a bad connection. All I did was turn it back from full lock just a little bit and that fixed it
I have a 91 GMC with the Moonie Cluster. Can I find one like this and plug it up, or are the connectors different?
I'm not 100% sure but I think they are different.
they are completely different. moonie clusters require taking the whole cluster apart
Yes, I was talking about just swapping the entire cluster from Moonies, to this style.
Hey bro do you think you can help I just bought my beautiful 1993 chevy c1500 cheyenne and I wanted to change my gauge lights to blue leds. do you think you can send a link of which ones will fit ?
This is what you are looking for. Make sure the sockets fit a 1/2” hole.
rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F181898111462
my truck is a standard is it the same process
Yep. It’s the same process. You won’t have the gear selector to deal with so it will be a little easier.
Bryan Johnson thanks
You bet.
Is it true that there is a film on the panel that makes it look green with the stock lights? If so how do I remove that? Don’t want everything looking like a blue/green color.
Hey Mr. Bryan! I was trying to install my blue leds I have the early 92 with the 180 roll up. Mine definitely didn’t come out as easy as yours? Should it have more slack? I am just worried I don’t wanna snap my shift wire. Thsnks
They are a little tight. You have to twist them around to get em out
Bryan Johnson twist them around? Oh boy
Yeah, you have to pull it out just a bit and turn the cluster around the steering column
Bryan Johnson ok thanks. I gotta try getting it out first lol it barley moves
I’ve got a question about my guage lights, what abbreviation for the fuse is it ?
It’s the top left 20 amp fuse. It should say gauges
Ok , and yesterday when I replaced a few fuses they stopped working
that’s interesting! As far as I know that’s the only fuse for the gauges
Bryan Johnson ok , I’ll look into it
What’s the bulb size
T 10
If you just want the bulb without the socket, it’s 194
Great video. Thank you
You’re welcome. Hope it helps you out.
Yes it did just order some from Amazon.
Good deal. 👍🏼
Bryan Johnson what size bulb you use for the climet control lights?
If I remember right, they are a t5. 12mm.
Ok I was making sure because I have a 94 Chevy Silverado c1500 and I was thinking about doing the same thing but making the range selector green but it doesn’tSound like I can correct?
If I remember right that is correct.
Hey Bryan, just curious I have a 1993 Chevy C1500 Cheyenne and was wondering if these led's would work for me in my truck, and if you know how long do these Led's last? And are the t10 twist locks what I need for my truck? Thank you..
They are 12v. The bigger ones are 1/2” T10 and the others are T5 bulbs.
do thay come blue or are those special order
I ordered blue lights. You can get any color you want.
Bryan Johnson cool last question are those the same lights that your license plate lights use
I couldn’t tell you what the license plate lights are. I’m pretty sure they are a different size bulb
Bryan Johnson alright thanks for the help
Any ideas why the T10/194 LED replacements are incompatible with a 1992 Chevy Silverado?
I have no idea why they wouldn't work. Chevy and GMC use the same cluster. Do they not fit? Not lighting up?
Ebay and Amazon have product compatibility tests for specific vehicles, every time I check the T5 and or T10, with any seller, it says these are not compatible with my '92 Silverado. Which size is for the instruments, like speedometer, fuel, oil, etc and which is the smaller size for the warning lights, like seat belt, check engine etc.
eBay said the same thing with mine. They worked just fine. The T10 are for the gauges and T5 are for engine, seat belt, turn signal lights etc.
Great, thanks!
You bet.
Where can I buy these led lights
Just about anywhere. I got mine from eBay.
So what about the green tint that’s behind the dash. I️ our red leds in mine and it doesn’t light up the Speedo or tac cuz of the green tint lol
What type led’s did you get? I put in 8 smd led’s that are bright enough to show the blue color instead of the green backing color.
Bryan Johnson would 5smd be bright enough?
They should be plenty bright. Just don’t get cheap ones.
Bryan Johnson Ight thanks!
You bet
Love your video I just changed mine to blue also but my rpm meter is still green tho how can I change that?
That's odd that only one is different. Mine actually still lit up yellow. If you want to change needle color you will have to take them off and paint them or get aftermarket needles. I painted my needles blue. You can see it in my other video of the climate control light swap.
How did you do your rimd
Cameron Moore It took a lot of masking tape and patience.
Can you use the original twist lock and put in t10 bulb
You can but it is a pain in the ass to get the stock bulbs out. If you are getting the bulbs by them self they are 194's
are t10 leds?
Yes they are
Where do i get the lights
I got mine from eBay. You can find them on amazon also.
Where did you order the lights
I ordered them from eBay. I can’t remember who the seller was though.
Bryan Johnson I can’t find them at all really want them
Search for T10 led and a whole bunch will come up
Bryan Johnson do I have to just buy the bulbs? Are the thing that holds the bulbs too ?
It will make your life a lot easier if you get the bulbs with the sockets!
What model is the gps I really need one for my 89 c1500 with the moonies. My speedometer doesn’t work
It’s a garmin nuvi
I I just did this today but my gauges don't light and anything I do they won't light
Did you try turning the bulbs around? I had one that gave me fits. Just had to clean up the contacts and it started working.
Yes I did. And no change
Hmm. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure the bulbs are making good contact. Try pulling down the contacts on the bulbs a little bit to get a little tighter connection.
leds are polarity sensitive, unlike iridescence bulbs they only will work one way, pos to pos an neg to neg
I did this and the dash stopped working
Did you make sure it got plugged in all the way?
Would this work for a 90 c1500 I have the other style gauge that I find horrible but would is work for mine ik this is a old video but pls any help would be appreciated :0
ua-cam.com/video/IlugU3g35fY/v-deo.html
Here is a link for the other style cluster. Hope it helps
Hey has anyone switched the instrument cluster from the moon clusters to this one in the video. If so how you do it? Does the tech work?
I haven't changed mine yet (looking for a replacement with similar mileage), but from the videos and posts I've seen, the one with the tach is a plug-n-play replacement for the "moon" cluster.
anyone know where to find instrument panels? looking everywhere and I can find em
it keeps showing results for the interior just newer than that
FLYNANIGAN MKII What is it that you are you looking for? Other videos or an actual instrument panel.
Bryan Johnson im looking online for different instrument panels and everywhere I go it just shows the instrument panel for the newer dash styles
Have you tried checking your local salvage yard?
yeah. an the three little things I need are the most commonly swoped
i have a 1994 chevy wt c1500 and the t10 bulbs i order didn't work so i had to order t5 bulbs and those worked
That's weird. I wonder why the t10 didn't fit.
Bryan Johnson where did u buy ur dash cover for this truck
jonathan martinez The dash cover was in the truck when I bought it. I just got a dash cover for my 02 from cover king. I'd check them out.
Bryan Johnson okay thanks I appreciate
jonathan martinez they sell them on eBay for like 10 dollars
Now where to get the actual dash. Mine is all cracked to hell. and LMC truck who specializes in parts for older trucks does not have them @@kx250rider09
Can you help me out?
What do you need help with?
@@BryanJohnson81 WELL I HAVE A 92 CHEVY SILVERADO.. AND WE HAVE HAD IT FOR MANY YEARS... I WOULD LIKE TO INSTAL THE LED LIGHTS ON THE HEADBORD..
@@Jonathantinted it is the same process as it was with mine
My skinny cable to my shifter that you said make sure not to pop off came off and I don't know where it goes now and anyone send me a video to help me with this plzzzzz
Brandon Strickler ua-cam.com/video/lrmFzAyKZyo/v-deo.html
Hope this helps.
I didn't know the lights were so easy to replace. I thought you had to solder leds to the circuit board.
Yep. OBS trucks are easy. I have an 02 Sierra now and have to solder the bulbs in the climate control.
damn you think i can use color changing leds on my 1994 cluster
You can use whatever you like just as long as they are T10 size bulbs.
can please somebody tell me what kind of LED bulb I can put in my cluster if shopping on Amazon please tell me the right size T5 T10 please somebody
They are T10. Just the bulb without the twist lock socket is 194
where did you get your bulbs? I have a 94 SLE but it doesn't have the rpm gauge for some reason
I got em from eBay. Search for 88-98 led instrument panel lights and a bunch will come up. Get the ones that come with the twist lock already on them.
Hey my 94 does show rpm either
It sure will
@Chet Carson to all their own, do whatever you want with your truck, hopefully the video at least helped you to achieve whatever you’re going for with your truck 👍🏼
