Correction on bulb size. I told a few people I used T5. They are actually T3. I do believe T4 will also work. Sorry if I screwed anybody up with bad information.

Just to let everyone know, the two circuit boards aren't glued together, it's just that the horizontal board "sticks" to the vertical boards foam cushion with age. So don't worry if you pop it off. Makes it easier anyway. I've replaced the bulbs in a lot of these trucks that way.
@@JoseGarcia-jp8gs "color film" you can buy whatever color you want cut the film to the size of the message board and and just sit it in front of the board before you close everything up then when the message board light up ot will light the color of the film making it look any other color other than green

Was on pins and needles, worrying about breaking that tiny glass display.. just be careful and all should go smooth. I used "privacy film" for glass door showers, turned out "fair"
I have to correct my statement... The plastic covering the LCD is green.. three LCD is white behind it.. it's easy to change.. pop the green plastic off the bezel and use a sticky film over the LCD... I will video mine in a few hours to show and tell... Originally thought the LCD was green, nope.. it's the plastic.
Hey Bryan, nice video. I’m working on a 93 1500 with the same heater control and cluster. In pulling the motherboard completely off the face of the heater control, to Change the green display, I noticed that each of the buttons have a solid green plastic window glued securely into them. Do your blue leds show through the green or do I need to try and removed them somehow? Same’s true with the display, it’s a solid green plastic window that looks like it’s secured in with a plastic weld. There is not a film I can just remove. They are all solid green plastic windows. Appreciate, your thoughts in advance!
if it's LED, the body indicates anode and cathode; reinstall the same direction., Thought they were incandescent myself. Recently I cleaned the temp control strip to make it work. Had to really press HARD.
You can change the color of the screen i did it in my 94 k1500. Its a white LED screen with a green plastic piece in front of it, i cut off the green plastic and I used a red see through plastic clipboard and hot glued it in its place and put it all back together and it looks factory!
I had one give me a problem but it just wasn’t making a good connection. All I did was turn the bulb back a little bit from full lock and it’s been working ever since
You can put purple stage light film in the little window and it will make the green led’s blueISH ... not a perfect match, but way better than the green. I did it to my 04’

ill state No I didn't have to remove the green inside the buttons. If you want the display to change color you will have to take out the green screen and put in one of your color choice.

Ask all the questions you need. You need 6 T10’s, at least 6 T5’s, if you have a diesel you will need a couple more. 3 T3’s. 2 194’s. I can’t remember what the other interior lights are. Hope that helps
It’s simple. All you do is pull off the trim piece and there are 4 screws holding it in. Take those out and it will slide right out so you can unplug it.
You have to take them off, sand off the yellow on the back side of them and then paint them what ever color you want. Before you take them off you have to make sure and run your truck until everything is up to operating temperature and take a picture of where they are so you know where to put the needles when you put them back on. Obviously you will have to run your truck again to get everything back to operating temp before you put them back on.
Hello Bryan : greetings from LA. I have a 94 C1500 suburban i've owned for 11 years, love my truck!!!! lately i noticed that all controls for my windows do not light up at night anymore. is it an issue with the master switch or do i have to change all bulbs in the buttons. Thanks!!!!
Juan Huerta. Does your dash lights work when you move the switch? If the dash and door lights don't brighten or dim I'd say it's the master switch. If it's only one door that doesn't work then Id say it's the door lights that are bad.
guess what, now my courtesy lights do not work. i checked the fuse for the courtesy lamps and it appears ok. all other lights and gauges work including radio.

Like I said, it’s been a long time since I’ve done it but there should be a clip on the harness that you press and it should come apart with some wiggling. Hopefully you can get it apart and get em changed

I guess I'll try some other sizes then, because I ordered blue LEDs from fleabay, (T5 and T10) The T10 fit in the gauge cluster just fine; the T5s that I got, would only fit the slightly smaller than T10 size bulbs that went for my "idiot' lights. I tried putting the T5s in the climate control panel, and they were just too large. Thanks again 👌
Yeah the exact same as yours with the green lcd display and the push buttons.. Not sure why either. i think I'm just gonna order some T3, T4 and T4.2 and see which of the 3 will fit snug in there and hopefully one of them will work. Thanks for all your help. I'll let you know how it goes...

If it doesn’t work there must be a power source issue. You’d have to try to find a wiring diagram on it and test connections and capacitors

I would get green ones so it keeps a lot of the color. White led’s will make it a light green color
What if you can't get fire to that circuit and it have fire to that point?
Sounds like you will have to do some circuit chasing and find the break in the connection
so what is the correct size bulb for the climate control?
Rocket T3 are the right size. T4 will also work

It sounds like you may have a problem with your controller. That or the doors are stuck

You can if you have blue film to put over the display

They are the same bulb. Only thing that makes a T10 is the socket that the bulb is in

I don’t but it’s easy. Just take the two screws out and it will come out to where you can get to the bulb

The blue is bright enough to cut out the green color. If you have good bright led's the green wont show.

Glad you figured out your dome light. I'm not sure why the window buttons aren't lighting. There has to be a bad connection somewhere.
Did you ever swap the led from the top part of the ac unit. Leds from the oem Sereo, if so can i replace them the same way??
I couldn’t tell you about the factory radio. I replaced it as soon as I got the truck

You can change the screen you just need to cut a new piece of blue plastic to replace the green. I've seen it done on the forums for these trucks

They don't make them. You can find some clear blue Lego windshields and similar stuff that can be cut to fit tho

You can get dimmable LEDs but the majority of them aren’t.

I used the T3 bulbs. They were a bit small. T4 should work also

The dash gauge bulbs are T10 with 1/2” socket and the turn signals, engine, brake light etc are T5 and the 4x4 lights are 194.
