I own a first generation 161 in 1 cartridge (the yellow one) i'm using on an unmodified Korean MVS Slot and i don't have the bug shown in this video on Mark of the wolves even when performing the full overhead kick movement with Jae Hoon. I experience no crash or reset. I don't have the collision bug on Aerofighters 3 neither. Only problem i ever encountered with that cartridge is random reset on some games when i first got it but i quickly realized it was due to underpower on MVS Slot (+5V measured at 4,6V only because this multicart is drawing a lot of energy). So what i did is increase the voltage on the power supply connected on my supergun (i use an arcade power supply with adjustable voltage) and i now have the measure on the MVS slot reading at sharp +5V which completely eliminated the random reset problem i used to encounter on some of the games.
To be exact, you get 65% of the library with these 161-in-1 carts.

Like you said. The reason is "They don't give a fuuuu." and they just don't know. They know these things sell and the companies that sell them come and go but they aren't fans and don't know things fans do.
I finally bit the bullet and paid the rediculous amount of money for the NeoSD Pro AES. The prices of just one game alone at a local Retro store confirmed that was the best purchase i could have made
Yea, I've been waiting for a multicart that fixes the issue with Mark of the Wolves but I guess that just won't happen. Maybe I'll get one of these carts eventually but I've just been playing the Dreamcast version. I already own the MVS carts I really want so I don't really have a reason to get the NeoSD unless the price drops enough. The Mark of The Wolves cart is just WAY too out of reach for me last I checked.
You can also get a nice Mister setup for under $200 and get a bunch of other console cores with it. Indistinguishable from real hardware.

Well, some of the games had glitches in the sound too. That should be fixed for this version.
There's also an AES version of this, but at the end that doesn't matter since its not really worth getting just yet.
They should just make a cart with the whole library.

i personaly use the neo SD pro, but i see the appeal of these 161 for those that just cant commit the outstanding cost to play a few of the fav neo games

What would be your best recommendation on buying one of these systems? I saw your last video and it seems that being able to switch the bios is a really big deal. I’m not very knowledgeable about neo geo but I’d love to get one of these Chinese consoles. The newer vid you put out of the new system frightens me though. Do the older systems have ports for other controller options? Also, I’m curious why they never come with hdmi out ports?
Samurai Shodown is one of the worse on the 161 for glitching- see Kyoshiro glitching... ✌️

You have too many consolized MVS... I am jealous.
I want Art of fighting 3 to be on it. I'd swap AOF 2 and all the hacks for it.
I have graphical glitches on 70% of the games on mine. I think it's somewhat random due to poor quality control.
If I purchased another I bet I'd find entirely new issues.

After reading the entire comment section, we can come to the conclusion that if you already have the yellow cartridge, it makes no sense to buy this green one. The same problems still persist. It makes no sense to spend more money on the same thing.
Unfortunately, i have an Asia bios on my MVS and a new V2 161. The Aero Fighters 3 is all bugged out =\ for anyone who has just an Asia bios and not Uni.

Love your videos, man!! I was in college when the NeoGeo came out, and broke-ass me lusted after one. Now that I’m a grown-up (technically!), seeing your videos has reeeally got me wanting to take the plunge. I’ve got a Raspberry Pi and a decent $50 controller with an arcade stick/buttons. I also picked up a one-player Pandora’s Box. Seriously, will I experience an improvement in how it plays if go with a consolized MVS setup?
Appreciate the kind words man! If you are happy with how you are playing now I don't think you will notice much difference playing on an MVS. Playing on the MVS or AES is how the games were originally intended to be played, but emulation of neo geo is so damn good, unless playing on original hardware means something to ya I don't think it will make much difference in the end.

161 cart has its quirks but i still recommend snagging one if you have an mvs and supergun
seems like they changed the homescreen on the menu and got some different plastic shells
they can push units onto people buying more of what they already have 😅
Ive read somewhere on reddit that these carts allegedly pull too much voltage which can overheat components.

Did they turn the difficulty down from 8? All the games were set default at the hardest setting

Weird, on my 161 in 1 cart i only got the "naked" sprites on "king of gladiators" and "king of gladiators plus" which are bootlegs of KoF97. On the others "plus versions" and standard KoF 97 all the sprites are normal :=)

They are like rom hacks that have boss characters selectable and other tweaks. Nothing amazing

The reason why these are always, all the same, is that the arcade scene is nowhere near as popular, and lack of need for them to make bootlegged roms work on FPGA cart hardware simulators.

Man, it's worth the cash just to get some of the games I don't feel like paying over a hundred bucks for like Burning Fight. But boy does this cart suck ass overall. And cool games like Matrimelee are on level 8 difficulty so I can't even begin to learn the damn game lol.

Same ol' crap, duplicates of the same games just like the old cart and no improvements at all, they could at least have sorted the games in alphabetical order to make it easier to find them. If you have the old one, no reason to pick this one up at all, in my opinion.
If you get these you have to get a certain adapter right because you can't use the regular neo geo adapter has to be stronger because I used to try to play mines it'll be on for a minute and then shut off and they say you need a stronger adapter and I bought one 🕹🎮😀👍🏾
