This is one of the most amazing and comprehensive Neo-Geo MVS videos of all time! Thank-You for all your hard work and dedication! Fantastic stuff! My favorite Neo Geo game is Real Bout Fatal Fury Special! 💥💥👊💥💥
Shocktroopers is my favorite MVS game and one of the first ones I picked up. I have about 10 carts now with a couple KoF and Metal Slug games. The Last Blade series is one I'm keeping an eye out for. But I always come back to Shocktroopers. Big Mama tears those bad guys up!
funny enough, my favorite was Fatal Fury: King of Fighters, my uncle owned an amusement arcade in the 90's and I loved it. great video and content! keep it up! :)
Your insight is spot on and will surely aid existing and especially new NeoGeo collectors. I purchased a new Analogue NeoGeo CMVS Slim when I started collecting MVS a little over 10 years ago. Back then MVS cost much less vs AES. In the last few years MVS prices have greatly increased equaling some AES and even exceeding some AES games. I learned about MVS bootlegs the hard way after buying a few when I started collecting. Luckily my losses were only a few hundred dollars resulting in my purchases requiring PCB pics only so I could verify authenticity.
WOW the prices for Matrimelee MVS full kit are going crazy. I only paid $600 for my English kit 4 years ago. Now, I look on eBay today and there going for $1,600+ and that’s an Japanese kit. Love this video lots of information given. 👍🏽
Very detailed video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. My favorite Neo Geo game is Windjammers/Flying Power Disc. I really love the fast pace of the game.
Thank you so much for the detailed neo geo collecting guide it has been an eye opener to learn how some of these games have tripled in price in recent years! My fav game on the neo geo is puzzle bobble. me and my wife both really enjoy puzzle games and its not always easy to get her to play arcade games with me so this one is a easy win every time!
That's right Kon. A few years back I donated to him a nice 3D printed Neo-Geo sign to him as a thank you for dedicating a video to celebrate the anniversary of the Neo-Geo thread. He really appreciated it and always has it on display during his Neo-Geo love videos. The seller sadly stopped manufacturing the signs for a few years due to COVID. But now is getting on track on selling them again. Anthony..
Forgot to add. Thank you for covering the shock boxes. I have been confused if those were official boxes or maybe AES boxes with mvs carts in them. Good to know they are simply reproductions as an alternative to hold your mvs games instead of the cardboard box.
Awesome Video ! Your SNK story and love for Neo Geo sounds so similar to mine. Walking into my local CIVIC Video Store and seeing KoF94 for the first time was transformative. SNK is LIFE. For me, Garou : Mark of the Wolves has to be my favourite. Its still one of the most deep and accessible fighters ever made with a banging soundtrack and awesome sprite work on those characters.
Hi, I´m a new subscriber from Mexico! As you probably know we are very passionate about Neo Geo here and I must say this video is the most complete and comprehensive I´ve found for anyone interested in MVS collecting, congrats! As far as my favorite Neo Geo MVS game right now I would say it´s Last Resort. I´m lucky to have an original cart and I love the atmosphere, backgrounds and gameplay. I already did a first loop 1cc and I´m working on the second loop in order to get the true ending :)
My favorite Neo Geo MVS game is Metal Slug 2. Can't do better with the level design. The mummy's are so much fun to blast, and even with the slowdown, it can't be beat. A stone cold classic!!!
This community and the Sega Saturn collector community is always fascinating to me as there are so many different things to look out for and also how expensive it is, you guys literally are investing into these games because I don't think they will ever fall in value, very cool video!
Thanks for watching the video. Yes there is the collecting aspect to this and the value of Neogeo is a bonus l, for me it's more of growing up in the peak of SNK and living though all of these releases and enjoying the arcade scene at the time. This is super nostalgia for me personally.
@@KoncadeGaming I was very fond of SNK and the MVS machines growing up as well, fighting games have always had a pull on me so when I started to notice all the variety the NEOGEO had I was all over those machines, maybe one day I'll try to get into collecting for this system
As mentioned in my guide there are a lot of games for the MVS that are still very affordable, most of the kof, samsho games are cheap and you are getting original hardware. It's a great time to get into collecting for this system. 🤜🤛
Great video, fabulous collection. My favourite Neo Geo game (which is a tough call) is probably Metal Slug X. Using the Metal Slug 3 game engine really helped with the slowdown suffered in MS2. Graphically an absolute treat, beautiful animations as per the series as a whole and with massive replay-ability.

A great very informative video. I have been using MVS scans for a couple of years now and is essential. I currently have MVS English versions of... *Metal Slug. *Last Blade. * Neo Turf Masters. * King Of Fighters 2000. * Shock Troopers. * Samurai Showdown. I don't have an MVS system as yet being looking at the MVS HD which I've seen on retro RGB. I do have an AES (Japan) in great condition just needs RGB mod and bios mod 3-6 board as it is stock and also requires a pallette ram replacement. I only have Samuari Showdown II for it as I sold some of the older titles off a while ago. I'm not sure weather to sell the AES and put it towards my MVS hardware/software collection or buy an AES to MVS adaptor or have both??? Recently picked up KOF 2013 with offical NEO GEO snap case and artwork looking forward to receiving it. All the best.
Love this, my philosophy is don't sell your Neogeo stuff it's too close to the heart. Most people regret it later. Your collection sounds solid. Thanks for watching glad you got some value out of it. 🤜🤛
The games I sold were a few early titles, OK condition, not mega rare so I could buy them back if needed, came with the AES as a bundle. But I'm being quite selective with what I pickup as price and space and other hobbies are the deciding factor. One of my regrets was selling a brand new copy of SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos didn't really click with me at the time as it was later on and new hardware was coming out from other companies. Looking forward to your next video. Kind regards. NEO GEO FOREVER!@@KoncadeGaming
