All the MVS systems on Ali are USED. Who knows who had it or how it has been stored. If you ever get one, remember they may need recapping / battery exchanging. Depending on your location, there are people that do recaps for a few quid.

My 161 in 1 series 2 works great on my MV 1C.. apart fro SamSho 1 which has the common Kabuki character glitch.
However using the 161 on my MV1FZ some games like Pulstar freeze.
The 161 Seems to run better on a 1C.
I prefer the 120 in 1 overall - it works great on both MVS I tried.
The MOBO model / cart revision makes a big difference.
I love King of Monsters! What a pitty all those crashes on the multigame cartridge... awesome video!

Unless the Mark 2 of the 161 in 1 cart fixes the voltage issues it can cause strain on your PCB. Btw the DIP setting can be changed for each game after you enter each game on those carts. That can fix the KoF 1v1 settings.

You should get the series 2 yellow 161-1 cart. I have it and it works really well in my opinion. Some of the games have occasional sound distortion and graphics glitches but for the price you can’t complain too much. I have 50 original carts including most of the games that aren’t on the multi cart so i have quite a tidy collection.

@@TeamPandory metal slug 3 and x, shock troopers, blazing star, strikers 1945, league bowling, Neo turf masters, king of fighter 98, breakers, to name a few. There’s so many great games and not that many stinkers on the system.

I used to be really into neogeo mvs back in the late 90s and early 2000s mvs stuff was cheap af and neosolts were 2 a penny not now prices have got ridiculous now, i prefer to play all my neogeo games through pandora dx on my big blue cab all the ones i played and owned are there and they seem to run well enough on dx and even better under pandory, you guys do great work for the pandora box usually they are a pile a shit but cfw is the way to go with them thanks for doing what you do 👍
Thanks man. MVS still go quite cheap, but right now I think it's safe to say they'll all need a recap. Could be a prime time to get them before all the caps give out.

Believe it or not, it's actually the board. I have an MV-1C and a MV1-FZ and it crashes and glitches on my MV1-FZ. It works perfectly on my MV-1C. This cart works best on that version of the motherboard for some odd reason. I use my MV-1C for the 161 in 1 cart and my MV1-FZ for real Neo Geo carts.

I have NeoSD flash cart, really good and i can add any new roms that release such as Xeno Crisis.
I was thinking about buying a consolized MVS from Ebay.
Are there any risks involved, such as wear on MB and/or leaking batteries and caps along with trace rotting? I mean, these things are 30 years old after all.
Is this a good investment, prices are around 290 usd with shipping and all, Id just like to avoid "ram failure" error messages and what not.
Does this have sound problems in some games like the series 1 yellow cartridge?
Great video, it's a real pity that there are so many problems with the multi-cart as it would be ideal to base a collection around.
That was my initial idea. We've ordered a "banana cart" to check if that will be any better- fingers crossed!
The 120 in 1 was better... but they are getting super rare. The 161 carts run much better on the MV 1C boards (those that have the single vertical slot).
the chinese could make a "complete" version for multi-cart without all those hacks version... but i guess if they do that, they will never be able to sell another multi-cart again

I just wanted to comment on the kofs that are 1 vs 1, maybe it's because in that mvs they used that same 161 before and the person saved a configuration like that and the mvs kept that in his memory and the other about the crashing of some games, the wiring jamma that you use is Chinese and does not power correctly, if you can measure the voltage of +5 you will realize that the same voltage that comes out of the power source does not reach the jamma connector and multigame mvs are delicate in that aspect, greetings
The cart works in the smaller MVS 1B (I think) but not the 1A (in this video). I think it's a compatibility thing related to memory or something b

Could somebody tell me what all those games with a "+" behind their name mean? ....since I'm not too much into the KOF-Series I always wondered what that was supposed to mean.

Version 2 & 3 are out reviews say they corrected the bugs

I got a 161-in-1 Neo cart from Ali Express around 2015 (also in green), but only Aero Fighters 3 was problematic. The rest of the games ran well. The inconsistencies in these "hack" cartridges are amazing! You get what you pay for I suppose.
I have another mvs on the way. It could be incompatibility of the fz and this cart, who knows?

Damn, that Chinese carts and 1FZ really have problems. How the story ends - "banana" cart work on 1FZ or only solution is 1B or 1C?

So, the MV 1F has alot problem with the new 161in1 multicart.
You can get the ver. MV 1B or 1C it runs fine
With this multicart
I have to revisit this in a new video. I've got the multicart working on the fz, so all games work okay, but still no pick n mix. That pick n mix alone on the banana cart is worth getting.
161 in 1 Version 3 is a far better version than V1 and V2
Can you explain why? The banana cart and unibios trumps any of the improvements
Buying these collections directly funds people who flood the marked with fake repro carts. Not nice.
Some people just want to play the games and some people are not interested in propping up the market for Neo Geo games
