I'm from Greece. I've been to Turkey twice. The first time was back in 2010 I visited Istanbul. I visited Turkey again a few months ago and I am seriously thinking of visiting again in December if Corona allows it. Adana seems a nice place to visit. About the prices and the lira thing, Turkey was always cheaper than Europe. In 2010 one lira was 0,5 € or something like that. I stayed at a really good hotel in Taksim square in Istanbul for about 300 euros (4 nights). It was fairly expensive at the time for me since I had recently received a substantial paycut in salary due to the economic crisis in Greece. Probably the same price as staying at a descent hotel in an average Aegean island but nowhere near Athens, Mykonos or Santorini. When I visited Istanbul again a few months ago I rented an apartment in Besiktas with my wife and paid a total of 180 euros for a week. Boy was that cheap. The area was beautiful one of the best areas I have stayed. The apartment was amazing as well. This apartment in Athens would have cost me at least 600 euros for a week. In Santorini maybe 600 euros for a day. Turkey is ridiculously cheap now. Although the prices are kinda increased in liras since the last time I visited, the devaluation of the lira makes most prices absolutely ridiculous for anyone with euros. This sure sucks for the locals though since the prices are going up ( in liras ). Nothing but respect though for the Turks. Everyone I met was friendly af especially the guys in the bazaars constantly trying to bargain any price. We are very similar Greeks and Turks in so many ways. Better days are ahead and I hope this whole crisis with our countries and of course with your currency will be resolved. Stay safe!
Thanks for your honest comment and kind wishes. It really sucks to be a local here and devaluation of lira makes it even more difficult to move to another country. I wish both of our countries the best.
@@someone7039 Dude I will tell you a story. The first time I visited Istanbul, back in 2010, I visited most of the touristic places. Agia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the archeological museum, Byzantine catacombs and walls etc. Nothing amazed me more than the Bosphorus. I mean everything was great the museums, the religious sites, the bazaars and the crowded squares and streets but nothing could beat this moment of tranquility. I will remember this boat ride for the rest of my life. Just seagulls and me smoking on a shitty old boat. I know things are tough dude, trust me we have been through some serious shit here in the past decade but I don't think leaving your country is always the right choice. Sometimes you just have to fight this shit and stay strong. I was thinking of leaving Greece a few years ago but in the end I stayed and I'm glad about it now. I don't know about you but for me a walk in the center of Athens, a quick look of the Acropolis or spending some time with family and friends always calms me. Always reminds me of what it means to have a home. Not a chance in the world for me to leave my home, no matter how shitty times may be. That was the exact feeling I felt when I was cruising the Bosphorus. This place somehow looked like home, even though this was the first time I was there. Weird isn't it? It had never happened to me before and has never happened since in a foreign country. I've been in many cities in the UK,Germany,Italy,France,Switzerland, Serbia and all of them were great but nothing like this. Point is that if you are from Istanbul why would you ever leave this city? I would prefer to live a descent life in Istanbul than a rich life in London or Munich anyday. Anyway I hope you will find whatever you are looking for in life.

Thanks a lot for your kind words, I've never seen Greece but I feel somehow connected, probably because I'm from just the other side of Aegean Sea.

Stay safe!
🇹🇷❤️🇬🇷
@@billaros1338 I'm not living in İstanbul at the moment but I lived in there for 8 years. I understand what you mean and I love my country as well, sincerely, but conditions are making me feel outsided. When you speak what's on your mind you're immediately accused to be a traitor, even a terrorist. I have two little kids and I'm already afraid of their future. I have to and I'm very willing to fight for my home but my family is not free and safe economically, socially, politically and educationally. It's rough but I hope it would get better. Thanks a lot for your kind words, I've never seen Greece but I feel somehow connected, probably because I'm from just the other side of Aegean Sea.

Sometimes i feel like pressured in Turkey but when i watch your videos about Turkey i feel stronger and ready for do anything. Thanks a lot.
Edit: This country makes me tired.

I don't know why I'm laughing so hard at the "Putin, Erdogan, Bashar Assad" joke
Because when you do research about this people and make memes about them. It will give you a laugh because you get the meme.
We should make peace with Syria
So they are no shoes makers😂
