Thank you Mick and Trudie, you finally made it to Adana. The place I spent the first 4 yrs of my married life. Adana was nothing like this when we moved there from Germany in 1961. The population was then about 500.000. No houses around the Baraj. We used to swim there. We did live near the railway station. Ziya Pasa Boulevard was called Yeni Bulv. There used to be big villas in beautiful gardens on Yeni Bulv. No high-rise buildings. Once we took the Baghdad Express from Istanbul to Adana in a sleeper compartment. A steam locomotive pulled the train. The train line was built under Kaiser Wilhelm. There was a German cemetery high up in the Taurus mountains with graves of people who died during the building area. Oh my, the copper street is still operating. I have many copper pots and pans as decorations around my house in Australia. Some I gave to my children. My carpets and rugs from Adana are a bit worn after 60 yrs, but they still look good. There was only one park, the Ataturk Park in Adana and only the railway bridge and the old stone bridge to cross the Seyhan River. My husband drove everyday over the old stone bridge to work at Incirlik Air Base. Peddlers with push carts full of fresh vegetable and fruits came to the house everyday. I must say Adana looks much more beautiful and sophisticated today as 60 yrs ago. You do make wonderful documentaries about Turkey, Mick and Trudie. I wish we had that technology way back.

I am amazed how you found such interesting places in Adana. Very interesting, indeed. You somehow capture the gist of every location you visit. You're great ambassadors for Turkey. How lucky for Turks. You're a lovely couple. Wish you both a happy New Year.
Adana changed so much from when I lived there from 1994 1996. The streets were old and dirty, The mall was new and mostly empty. The people were wonderful and the food great. It's wonderful to see the city thriving!

I have watched so many of your videos and commented on them that I’m finding it harder and harder to find appropriate words to describe my enthusiasm of your work. My takeaway of Turkey: As long as you’ve got a reasonably well paid job or a successful business, why would you want to live anywhere else? From what I can see from your videos,Turkey has everything you would want for a good life and what impresses me the most is the Kindness of it’s people. What else can I say but Thank You!
Alex I think you would love living here and you’re right about the people, they inspire me, to film them, you don’t find it anywhere else in the world!
its easy to say that, especially if ur paid in dollars or pounds! people are nice if u got money to buy their stuff. u wouldn't have said such bullshit if u were born here. all those "kind" people are the ones who vote for islamists

Fun fact: The Sabanci Central Mosque was once the largest mosque in Turkey from 1998 to 2019 until the completion of the Çamlica Mosque in Istanbul.

A most excellent and comprehensive review of Adana!!! Mick and Trudie, you guys are awesome and Turkey is beautiful, especially when seen through your camera lens. Thank you very much and we look forward for more from Adana. We are watching from Oregon, USA.
Mick and Trudie really should be proud of this particular video. It was totally brilliant. Great to read such fantastic comments , I had not previously heard of Adana which looks like a wonderful place to visit thanks to your delightful presentation.
I am amazed how you found such interesting places in Adana. Very interesting, indeed. You somehow capture the gist of every location you visit. You're great ambassadors for Turkey. How lucky for Turks. You're a lovely couple. Wish you both a happy New Year.
Thanks for such a lovely comment
Thanks trudie and mick bir adanalı olarak sizi tebrik ediyorum benim bile daha gidemediğim yerler keşfetmişsiniz❤️🔥💪🏻🧿🧿🧿
Loved visiting Turkey. Baklava one of my favourites and kebabs...heaven👍
I live in Adana. And I would love to see you in the places you visit. Thank you for introducing our city so well. Çok sıcak kanlı insanlarsınız. ❤️🇹🇷
Great video! I'm a salgam suyu addict. I've even made my own a few times. Adana seems like my dream location for a culinary holiday.
Sizleri çok seviyoruz ülkemin güzel insanları diyorum çünkü Türkiye yi çok güzel tanıtıyorsunuz ❤😘👍🏻💐
Adana changed so much from when I lived there from 1994 1996. The streets were old and dirty, The mall was new and mostly empty. The people were wonderful and the food great.
It's wonderful to see the city thriving!
Fascinating Video , enjoyed watching during my Night Shift. Turkey is a Beautiful Country , modern and ancient mixed together. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year , Mick and Trudie , Absolutely smashed it again, Keep Filming !!!!
Mick and Trudie, you both are treasures of Turkish culture and cuisine . Your passion and excitement for an ancient and sometimes modern country are second to none . It's such an ironic situation that you introduced our hometown better than us, Turkish people. Thank you so much. :) This is the best Adana video I have ever seen.
I never see a single upload of your which is not adorable .
What a nice video dear friend. It’s just superb.
Excellent background view with your super shots.

Hoping for peace and a happy new year.
I am from Adana, it was perfect filming about my hometown. The places you travel have my childhood memory. I miss restaurant of Adana a lot. Thanks for the video :)
Our ministry of tourism must reward you for this lovely advertising.
I have watched so many of your videos and commented on them that I’m finding it harder and harder to find appropriate words to describe my enthusiasm of your work.
My takeaway of Turkey: As long as you’ve got a reasonably well paid job or a successful business,
why would you want to live anywhere else? From what I can see from your videos,Turkey has everything you would want for a good life and what impresses me the most is the Kindness of it’s people.
What else can I say but Thank You!
Alex I think you would love living here and you’re right about the people, they inspire me, to film them, you don’t find it anywhere else in the world!
its easy to say that, especially if ur paid in dollars or pounds! people are nice if u got money to buy their stuff. u wouldn't have said such bullshit if u were born here. all those "kind" people are the ones who vote for islamists
@@serdarbicer719 you could be right about some points, but this shouldn’t be the way to express. Your comment is so horrid that you underestimate your own countrymen and speak about this to foreigners. This inferiority complex is killing me. I agree that there are people as you’ve mentioned. But If you want them to change, change your attitude at first. And dont take out your anger on innocent commenters who speak just good things about your country.
@@serdarbicer719 You don't know anything about your countrymen, especially people who are from Adana. And about voting for islamists; you are so wrong about it. Don't put everybody in a same pot. I feel so sorry for you that you don't know anything about your own country and countrymen.
This is the city where I grew up and spent most of my lifetime !! Thank you so much for making a video about it
