Haven't got my bike yet...but I am investing in one of these locks..the service sounds great..hopefully I'll never end up using it ..thank u for the info...✌
So if anyone steals the bike, they have to leave the lock behind to show the lock was defeated or else there's no proof. I'm going to buy the new york chain lock anyways, but i'll consider the 5 years protection if it isn't too expensive. A nice added bonus :)
Hi Nicholas, good question. It might be worth asking them directly. I feel like most of the time the locks are left behind but maybe I'm wrong. If you find out the answer let me know!
As far as I understand it if the thieves take the lock with them which they often will because it's evidence you get nothing which is ridiculous! I've heard that you can get ebike insurance but most ebike insurance companies only insure e-bikes up to 750 watts nominal but supposedly it will at least be covered in case of theft, I can't think of spending thousands of dollars on an e-bike just to have it stolen and it's definitely a question of when not if 💋
I just got a quote for $1200 dollar ebike its a $100 dollar year or $8.33 a month. For a couple of penny's a day if they steal your bike you know its covered.
@@onsIaught I never got insurance for the bike. I did buy a kryptonite chain and lock that cover you if they steal it but you got to hope they leave broken chain behind.
purchased my Kryptonite U lock yesterday. The website doesn't have a key prefix of P and it can't find my key number. I tried calling today and I was told the website has problems that will get fixed. I only have 30 days time limit to register for the ATPO.
Bike was stolen 90+ days ago. I had registered it. I had paid the insurance. My lock was left behind which I still have. Kryptonite has been ignoring my emails and calls for weeks now. This is a complete scam.
Do you plan to buy a Kryptonite bike lock? Check out the link in the description to learn more about the Kryptonite Anti-Theft Protection offer.

Some reviews state the anti theft service is a scam. I wanted to purchase a chain and lock and anti theft service but I'm not sure now.

No problem, glad you found it helpful. Definitely read the terms as well, this was more a surface level look.
Do you have to buy the level 10 lock?
Sounds good. I do have a kryptonite lock but I'd like to see what he has to offer.

What about if I buy a second hand bike? This is not good enough
I heard angle grinder attacks aren't covered under the protection offer?
