Thanks so much for showing the difference of the diffs, now I know I have the smaller one, but I have 3.07 and a 2.65 model, so I have options if I switch to manual transmission in the future.

The specs so far are. 150 bar injectors, 7.7mm pump, Holset HX35W, custom exhaust manifold and exhaust, 648 rear sump and oil pump, Sprinter SMF with BMW 240mm pressure plate and Disc (spaced out to fit properly incl pilot bearing), GS6-53DZ gearbox with adapter plate, custom prop shaft, 4HA rear axle with limited slip diff (2.88 CW & P). 4 link rear suspension, Banded steel wheels. Its nowhere near finished but slowly does it. Life gets in the way a lot.
I remember that when the S124 300TDT came they were quite popular as taxis. But after a couple of years complaints were coming in the taxi business that the chassis and transmission could not handle the torque of the engine. If that was true, how will it handle 500 hp and who knows how much torque!

As you said, I watched many of your videos now from you, but I don't fully understand if your build has the S124 already the Turbo, because I could not find one here in Germany. So my question is, if you can buy a OM606 without a turbo and just slap a turbo later on, or do you need the engine from the OM606 of the W210 or S210. I am asking because of the piston rods being different in the OM606 with turbo, but the OM606 with turbo only was in W210(?) at least here in Germany.
Hi there. I'm doing a om606 swap to my w124 wagon. Mine has self leveling rear suspension and runs a pump from the camshaft as its petrol at the moment. How can I convert it to normal suspension? Thanks
Delete the pump on the engine and also the rest of the hydraulic system. And then order the same coilover kit i am using 😊 you only need a pair of rear lower control arms from a sedan model without SLS.
What i know they where only used in the 24v gasoline models. Then i have seen special ordered diffs from factory also on diesels but it is same chance winning the lottery and finding one with it 😅
Depends on how much body work has to be done before painting and what type of color you use, so it is hard to say. I get good sponsor deals on my projects, but i would guess about 3-5k€ if you take it apart and put it back together yourself.

And one more question. I think with the heavier flywheel you want to reach more torque. What is the heaviest flywheel you can fit on a 606 wich is safety.
Heavy flywheel is mostly to prevent the ratteling noice on idle with these engines. The one i will use now is 12kg and is the heavyest serial produced one i have found.

This car had 603 without turbo. And you need 606 with original turbo. From 210, 140 and some G-class models.
