      Removing Pluto as a planet is because it doesn’t completely orbit the sun, as it is more influenced by Neptune’s gravity.
      Additionally, it hasn’t cleared its orbit. There are other large bodies in Pluto’s path. To be a planet, no other object can share the trajectory of your orbit.

    One cool thing is that AFAIK the last 3 planets are the ones that can't be seen by the naked eye, and while the ancients already knew about every planet up until saturn, the last 3 were only discovered by the invention of the telescope. It's a nice little reference to how the 3 ancient weapons have remained hidden for so long.

    I don't think One Piece associates the Moon with darkness at all, as it reflects the light of the Sun, powering up the Minks and being associated with the Kozuki clan. "You're the moon unaware of the dawn"
    Blackbeard is literally representing the darkness in space, darkness is what opposes sunlight, not the moon. Black Holes suck the light, the Moon reflects it.

      I think the moon fits really well. It does reflect the sun's light, but it emits none by itself. It's a fake, a cheap reflection/imitation of the real deal. It has power, of sorts, in the night (darkness), but when the sun rises, the moon pales away. Except for those rare events, when it's positioned just right to block the sunlight and bathe the earth in terror. I bet we'll see some sort of eclipse in one shape or the other before the end of the story. Like Blackbeard defeating Imu (Earth), establishing a reign of terror, until he's being defeated by Luffy (the Sun).
      EDIT: the Moon does literally overshadow the Earth during an eclipse ;) Imagine Blackbeard being an even greater threat than Imu.

    • @izangq
      @izangq 5 місяців тому +7

      @@dorderre I guess that explanations fits as well, but I like the idea of Blackbeards' darkness being around everything, lurking.
      I'm specially adhering to how the moon and darkness are tipically represented in the story. Specfically the night and darkness are antagonistic to the sun, not the moon.
      We could also argue that Garling could represent the moon, orbiting the Earth really close.
      The thematics are still not clear though, as even Imu can be directly represented by darkness, and specially the void, directly opposing Luffy too.

    • @jpem4664
      @jpem4664 5 місяців тому +4

      I'd also question if the Moon is meant to be represented by a villain because the Lunarians are directly victims of the world government and seemed to believe Joyboy would change the world for the better. We now have an army of slave lunarian child soldiers the WG are using that Luffy will inevitably free. Also Urouge is still a massive question mark still and the sky people seem related to the Lunarians in some way so that's another possibility.

    There's also the concept that Luffy vs. Imu represents the heliocentric vs. geocentric model. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were all visible before telescopes were invented and everyone believed in the geocentric model of the solar system. But after the invention of the telescope and the discovery of Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto, we also confirmed and codified the heliocentric model.

    It makes even more sense to have Imu as Earth if you consider geocentric/heliocentric models of the universe. People look at that one panel during Robin's flashback and think Earth has multiple moons, while I'm 99% sure those are not moons but other planets, and OP world believes in geocentric model where Earth is at the center of universe and other planets circle around it.
    With geocentric model, Earth = center, so Imu is at the center and gorosei circle around Imu.
    Heliocentrism was discovered in 16th century, so basically the same century we have in OP verse.
    Luffy beating Imu is basically destroying the geocentric model and intruducing heliicentric one, when sun is at the center.

    Though the moon symbolism is valid for Blackbeard i think we're forgetting another just as important
    The Kozuki
    The Sun/Nika is the reason the Minks reach Sulong thanks to the Kozuki’s reflection
    The moon(Kozuki) that casted 9 shadows(Scabbards) can be interpreted as Oden and by extension Momo
    Thanks to Luffy their shadows were casted on the night of the raid
    This is a story about defeating the Night
    But what if there’s worse than Night lurking? actual darkness
    Could Blackbeard be a Black Hole

    Morj, I really disagree with this idea that Blackbeard represents "flawed freedom."
    Think about it: when have we ever actually outright seen Blackbeard fighting for, or believing in freedom at all? The closest thing is his "people's dreams never die" philosophy, but he only really seems to use that to justify reaching his own dreams at the expense of those of others.
    Meanwhile, we have consistently seen Blackbeard work to oppress the freedoms of others from his introductory arc, with him going after Luffy in Jaya for his bounty, or him killing Thatch for his Devil Fruit, or him defeating and indirectly killing Ace to finish off Whitebeard, or helping destroy Impel Down to gain some crewmates. He has always been someone who oppresses the dreams and free will of others who, unlike the people Luffy defeats, weren't themselves oppressing the dreams and free will of others, in order to gain more power for himself.
    And that's not to mention him being revealed to own slaves/have people imprisoned on Fullalead in the recent arc, or him wanting to ally himself as a recognised king with the World Government - the ultimate oppressor of freedom throughout the series. What about Blackbeard yelling about how he'll "swallow up everything" and "destroy everything" at Marineford makes him sound like a fighter for freedom, Morj?
    To me, Blackbeard is essentially just a representation of an Imu who hadn't beaten the Ancient Kingdom yet. A worldwide dictator in waiting. A king without a kingdom.

    • @greatestcait

      Blackbeard doesn't represent freedom in my opinion, but anarchy. He is someone who uses his freedom - his ability to do as he likes - to take it away from others. He only seems to believe in one rule: that might makes right.

    • @J99___
      @J99___ 5 місяців тому +5

      I feel Blackbeard does represent freedom in a way, he’s very much on the idea of carving your own fate and doing whatever you desire. When Blackbeard was about to die from Magellan, he didn’t really curse it or act entitled, he was just like “Well, fate ordained it and I couldn’t make the cut. Magellan’s dream beat mine. Oh well, I gave it a shot”, and then when shiryu saved him he basically said “Wow, that was lucky. Looks like I can fight for my dream another day! Fate seems to like me. Shiryu join my crew.”
      I feel Blackbeard embraces the idea of everyone having dreams and everyone having the right to fight for them, in his case his dream is just take over the world and start a world where people don’t have anyone blocking their dreams. Blackbeard seems to want to destroy everything to make a world of anarchy. In his mind, if someone or something gets in the way of your dream you should move it out of the way no matter the cost. So, it’s not freedom in the same exact sense as what Luffy feels, but it’s of the same vein. A twisted version of it.
      But, honestly BB’s origins and true motivations don’t have much info yet so I think we will have to wait before really solidifying his philosophy.

    • @shaunimpellezzeri5648
      @shaunimpellezzeri5648 5 місяців тому +1

      Respectfully, I disagree.
      What I think you misunderstand is the difference between personal freedom and freedom for all. Luffy is the physical embodiment of freedom for himself and others whereas Blackbeard is only the physical embodiment of freedom for himself. Remember, in one piece part of freedom is being strong enough to beat anyone who tries to stop you. Both Luffy and Blackbeard have reached this level of strength, they're both emporers strong enough to challange anyone who opposes them and gearing up to challenge the world government, which is antithetical to freedom.
      The way I see it the diffrence between Luffy's brand of freedom and Blackbeard's is what they'll do when the world government falls. While Luffy will eredicate the world government and leave the world a safe place for all, Blackbeard will become the new head of the world government, using his personal freedom to steal the freedom of others.
      I agree with your point about Blackbeard being like Imu but I believe that Blackbeard is the next generation Imu just like Luffy is the next generation Roger/Joyboy. If we assume at face value that Imu is control the question we have to ask is how did Imu gain control? The answer is given in the story, he overthrew the ancient kingdoms. Imu used his freedom to overthrow the existing regime and in its place. One where he uses his freedom to take away the freedom of other, making him the physical embodiment of control.
      the fundamental flaw of flawed freedom, the thing that makes it flawed freedom instead of pure freedom, is that following its path leads to control. If Imu is defeated before Blackbeard the fight between Luffy and Blackbeard will absolutely be about if the world is free or controled, but not because blackbeard is control, but because he is fated to become control because the is the end ultimate end point of folloing the path of flawed freedom.

    • @nyshyn307
      @nyshyn307 3 місяці тому

      Luffy is essentially the idea that everyone has freedom so long as it doesn't overlap others' while Blackbeard is the idea of absolute freedom without holds. The problem with each pretty much explain themselves: is it truly free if there are limits vs is anyone truly free if someone else can invade on that?
      Blackbeard seems to think everyone should be able to do as they please which explains why his home is essentially the Wild West, and as he's the "leader" of it all it seems to appear that such a place is the ideal world to him. This connects with Blackbeard's philosophy of fate which appears to be him submitting to whichever ultimate outcome is achieved. Everyone is free to try and stop Blackbeard but as such he's also free to keep going until that day comes assuming it is fated

    All this planetary symbology has me thinking of Sailor Moon, all nine planets, the sun, and the moon being represented there too. There is no Sailor Earth in the line up, but Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask holds the Golden Crystal that acts as Earth’s celestial core. Sailor Galaxia, the final villain of the series, acts as a “sun as a destroyer and consumer of life/light” symbolic device. Finding a One Piece equivalent, it could be said that she coincides with Imu and Blackbeard at the same time.
    As for Usagi Tsukino, the iconic Sailor Moon, Oda gave us his own version back in Whole Cake Island. Carrot as the first to showcase the “moon lion” form unleashed at the full moon. Carrot turns into a literal “moon rabbit” to take down the battleships! How funny amd awesome is that?!

    It also occurs to me that the only "Planet" that we know is on Luffy's side (Poseidon) uses the Greek name of the relevant planet/deity (the Latin name is Neptune). There's actually one other Planet that does that - Uranus. Uranus is the *Greek* name of the god of the sky - the equivalent Latin name is the almost-never-used Caelus. This could be a hint that Uranus will end up supporting/being used by Luffy rather than the WG. Conversely, Pluton's name is Latin, the equivalent of Hades. This might support the idea that Pluton will end up in the hands of Luffy's enemies, though in this case I suspect Blackbeard rather than the WG.

    I think people should look into Dante's hierarchy of the Heavenly Spheres. I'm pretty sure as allegory One Piece draws from those than from the Solar System. The 5 Elders are "heavenly spheres" but not the ancient weapons. The "Empyrean" is the most meaningful metaphor for "the land of the Gods" from which used to stand at the top of the Red Line prior to WG.

    • @BinaryDood
      @BinaryDood 5 місяців тому +1

      "In ancient European cosmologies inspired by Aristotle, the Empyrean Heaven, Empyreal or simply the Empyrean, was the place in the highest heaven, which was supposed to be occupied by the element of fire" - Alas, Land of the Gods - Lunarians. One Piece's focus on the motif of Fire and inherited will, and Skypea being a miscrocosm: "Light the Fire of Shadora!" likewise Luffy shall light the fire of the Land of The Gods and take down the false deity, like he did with Enel.
      Here is the hierarchy fo the Heavenly/Celestial SPheres:
      1. Moon (Luna): The first sphere represents the realm of the inconstant, and it is inhabited by those who were unable to fulfill their vows. - LIKELY ST. GARLING
      2. Mercury (Mercurio): In the second sphere, Dante meets those who were motivated by an active life of ambition and desire for fame and glory. These souls are now blessed with the joy of wisdom and knowledge.
      3. Venus (Venere): The third sphere is inhabited by those who were driven by the desire for earthly love and physical beauty.
      4. Sun (Sole): In the fourth sphere, Dante encounters the theologians and doctors of the Church, including Thomas Aquinas and Albertus Magnus, who illuminate him with their wisdom.
      5. Mars (Marte): The fifth sphere is the realm of the warriors of Christ, those who fought for the faith. Dante meets the soul of Cacciaguida, his own ancestor, who prophesies Dante's exile from Florence.
      6. Jupiter (Giove): In the sixth sphere, Dante meets the just rulers and governors, including the Roman emperor Justinian, who narrates the history of the Roman Empire.
      7. Saturn (Saturno): The seventh sphere is the realm of contemplatives and hermits, those who renounced the world for the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. Dante encounters the spirit of St. Peter Damian here.
      8. Fixed Stars (Stelle fisse): In the eighth sphere, Dante encounters the angels, who move the stars and planets and serve as intermediaries between God and humanity. - SERAPHIMS
      9. Primum Mobile (Primo Mobile): The ninth and final sphere represents the perfection of divine love and the source of all motion in the universe. It is here that Dante beholds the Beatific Vision and experiences the presence of God himself. - BLACK BEARD / WILL OF ROX
      10. The Empyrean: The Empyrean is portrayed as the abode of God, surrounded by the highest order of angels and the souls of the blessed. It represents the culmination of Dante's journey toward the ultimate union with the divine. - IMU
      The twist being that the Gorosei are devils, and inspired by easter mythology rather than western, though Oda being a christian. Again, a great inversion: "Hell is where Heaven should be". Think of the layering of Impel Down. It follows a similair pattern to the Circles of Hell. The exclusion of the Ancient Weapons if for they belong to the Ancient Kingdom, thus they are expelled from paradise, as that is something that isn't meant to exist.

    the issue with blackbeard or imu representing the moon is that all of the wano daimyo families were named after the moon except for the kurozumi, indicating that the moon was historically (and is thematically) a good thing. and other things like oda calling benn beckman the moon to shanks' sun, or G5 first appearing silhouetted against the moon, i don't think Oda has this idea of the moon being an antagonistic figure thematically

    • @MrMorj

      Toki's prophecy explicitly spells out that Orochi is the "the moon" who would fall when Dawn came to Wano. So even though wano's daimyo families were named after the moon, Orochi was the one who was meant to actually represent the moon in the Wano conflict.     I like this theory. Only adjustment I’d make is following the idea that nobody represents Earth;
    When I think of Blackbeard and Darkness, I dont think of the moon but instead I think of the Void, the darkness that fills the space between all. It would make sense why his fruit would be different and can affect the other fruit users, since it seems like Void=Mass=Gravity, and thats how he brings in the devils of other fruits.
    If the Moon represented Imu for the “night” that has been cast over the world, it would also make sense how they could influence the sea(world) as a false god since Imu backwards is Sea and the moon controls the tides.
    I think the Earth doesnt need to be represented as it stands for Nature, the world everyone shares, that has the Treasure Tree’s, Sea Kings, Islands and all the parts of the world that aren’t necessarily “controlled” but have tried to be by others aiming to rule the world

(I think it's connected to Buggy, this is because of Lions Gate Portal that occurs on 8/8 (Buggy's birthday), Where the Sun, Earth and Sirus align. According to Egyptian legends the Nile river floods on this day, bringing prosperity. The perfect day for Magic and Summoning of otherworldly beings. The day of the manifestation of dreams...providing a bridge between the realm of the living and spiritis/angels/demons. .............. Also Sirius is connected to the Egyptian God Osiris.......who was killed and his body parts severed in to many pieces, locked in chests and was later recovered and put back together again after that Osiris became the God of fertillity, afterlife, the Dead and resurrection. Sirius (Loki's torch in norse mythology) is also connected to Loki. Sirus is also related to Thystra ( the rain maker) . ....

I think Vegapunk represents the moon as his message is about to be revealed to the world, shedding light on the darkness of the world (just like the moon reflects sunlight to illuminate the nightsky). Additionally, all of Vegapunk’s satellites are moon related terms (w/ altas, pythagorous, stella, and edison all being craters on the moon).
    On the other hand, I think Blackbeard represents the vacuum of space as it naturally opposes the light of the sun and plays into the darkness vs light motif a bit better than the moon

      Which would explain why Blackbeard can cancell out Devil Fruit abilities through absorption via his "Darkness" powers, because remember Vegapunk stated that Devil Fruits are simply the physical manifestations of people's hopes, dreams and desires, so if the Davy Jones fruit grants you the ability to steal people's dreams, then by extention it'd allow you to steal Devil Fruit powers.

  • @DrBingusCheeseburger
    @DrBingusCheeseburger 5 місяців тому +2

    Hi Morj, I enjoyed the video. I have a few points regarding whether Imu is earth and blackbeard is the moon + the significance of them.
    1. I think it makes most sense for Imu to be representing earth/the world. As you have said he is the figurehead of the literal entire WORLD government and when Luffy and the strawhats declared war on the world government, they were really declaring war on Imu and their decisions/actions to try kill Robin.
    2. Whilst the world is said to already be in darkness waiting for the dawn under Imu, I'm pretty sure it has been explicitly stated in the story that whilst this situation is dark, a rule under blackbeard would be a much darker, hopeless night, if Imu is the world already tainted with darkness, then Blackbeard in this case would be the moon wiping out all light from this world and enveloping it in darkness completely, a truly pitch black night.
    3. Whilst I do think the likely order of villains is; defeat blackbeard then defeat Imu/the World Government. I do think a possible scenario is that Blackbeard is the one who defeats Imu/steals Imu god powers and the final fight is actually Luffy defeating Blackbeard in even more dire circumstances than he already faces, with Luffy utilising the resources of the fallen kingdom + Joy Boy and Blackbeard acting as the unhinged god dictator. I think this may be the case because for one, Blackbeard has been set up as end game for a very long time now, whilst we knew the WG would also be endgame for a very longtime, we had no idea of Imu until fairly recently, whilst this makes sense with the narrative of Imu being secret shadow leader, for us as fans we hardly know what Imu is or care about the relatioship with Luffy, with Blackbeard he betrayed Whitebeard, triggered a phase of increased darkness after marineford, used quite unwholesome tactics to get himself ahead in the Laughtale race and was a large part of the reason Ace got killed, literally wiping one hope for the dawn and nearly getting Luffy killed too.
    Blackbeard just seems much too important to leave out of this solar system analogy and I can't think of a better fit for the moon if Luffy is the sun.

    Morj I’ve been thinking about one of your previous videos where you discuss the order of the final arcs and the final matchups. IIRC you put Luffy fighting with Blackbeard at Laughtale followed by Luffy fighting Imu at the final war. But what if, in Marineford fashion, Blackbeard comes in at the end, after Luffy has beaten Imu and is exhausted from the battle, to take victory for himself. Blackbeard doesn’t like going into fights he doesn’t think he has a sure shot of winning. It’s not going to be a fair fight with him, so I think that’s reason enough for him to wait until after Luffy fights Imu to make his move. It’s also makes sense to me if the fight to see who brings the dawn of the world happens after Imu is taken down. Once there is no obstacle, who is bringing on the dawn, Blackbeard or Luffy? Rather than having that decisive battle happen before, Luffy winning, and then now knowing that Luffy is the one to bring the dawn we see him go after Imu to finally achieve that. Also, I don’t think the One Piece is at Laughtale but rather the identity/reveal of the One Piece will be explained there, and it will lead us to Mariejois. This is a known popular theory, but if the One Piece is actually the all blue or somehow connected to it, then it’ll take Luffy breaking the redline at Mariejois to find the One Piece. I think Luffy and Blackbeard fighting not just over the dawn but also the One Piece at Mariejois makes more sense than fighting at Laughtale. Anyway great theory lol I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Thanks to anyone that actually read this

    I’d like to make the case for Blackbeard representing to cold void of space. Like space, Blackbeards power is a black void that all light and matter will eventually succumb to. I especially like the idea because Suns can be considered to “lose” to space after they either explode into supernovae or shrink into white dwarfs that are eventually extinguished by Space. Additionally, it’d be disappointing to me personally if Blackbeard was represented by the Moon, a tiny celestial body hundreds of thousands of times tinier and less impressive than the Sun.

    Do people not see how illogical this is? If all the elder planets are PEOPLE sand Shirahoshi is also a person, OBVIOUSLY Pluton and Uranus will also be people. Oda does things in SETS.
    It has already been stated in Enies Lobby that the battleship is a COUNTER, don’t people know what that means? Since that arc it was already implied the war between the Ancient Kingdom and the world government.
    Ancient Kingdom had “weapons”, in quotations because we see with Shirahoshi she is not an object. And hundreds of chapters later Oda introduced for the second time another character with the exact same power, the POWER TO COMMAND ANCIENT GIANT CREATURES. Momonosuke is Pluton and that has been crystal clear since Zou. Stating “Pluton is in Wano” is the cherry on top because Momo is not from Whiskey Peak, he’s not from Amazon Lily, he’s not from the west blue in who knows where, from from Wano.
    Uranus will be a winged person because that’s the obvious theme. God of the SKY represented by SKY people the same way Poseidon, gold of the SEA is represented by a MERMAID, a SEA PERSON.
    The biggest proof the battleship is from the WG side and NOT THE ANCIENT KINGDOM is because all the info about the ancient “avatars” is written in INDESTRUCTIBLE PONEGLYPHS, which is something that the World Government does NOT HAVE. The blueprints are written in BURNABLE PAPER.
    Only allies have of the Ancient King sim protect Poneglyphs:
    Fishman Island, Wano, Shandora, Mokemo Dukedom, Elbaf (implied but obvious due to narrative)
    Are people seeing this pattern?
    Via the lunarians who were viewed as “gods” and stayed at atop the Red Line and by King “waiting” for JoyBoy, whom we now know is Nika, it’s implied the Ancient Kingdom was also atop the Red Line, OR the lunarians themselves where the ancient kingdom, that means anything below the Red Line on the surface is the underworld, aka the land, that’s Pluton, the power to command given to Wano and its royalty heir.
    Uranus commends sky creatures
    Pluton commands land. Features
    Poseidon commands sea creatures
    This theme of sky land and sea has been obvious since the name reveals in Fishman Island

    If you think about it, a black hole is the only thing that could possibly rival a (fictional) sun/star in power. Plus, it’s more of an opposite to it than the moon is, scientifically at least.
    It would also fit in with the theme of:
    Imus WG = geocentric view of the universe (old ways)
    Luffy wins = heliocentric view of the universe (true ending)
    BB wins = absolute chaos and destruction (bad ending)
    I would additionally like to mention a few more characters that have celestial themes in them, but weren’t mentioned in the video:
    The 11 supernova (perfect name, if you think about it)
    Garp (meteor fist and galaxy impact)
    Figarland Garling (possible moon, you know why)
    Vegapunk and his satellites (all of them moon themed names, cause moon = satellite of earth maybe)
    Essentially any famous pirate that can be considered a „star“ like Cavendish (also double-fits the supernova aka exploding stars and triple-fits luffy aka the sun)
    🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    I think if Shirahoshi is associated w Poseidon/Neptune, then maybe Vivi/Karou could be associated w Uranus, and Momo/Zunesha could be associated w Pluton. Tho maybe Franky could be connected to Pluton too idk... I still think Pluton is a giant mech instead of a ship so I'm prob way off

    Why would Imu and Teach need to be represented by planet-like objects like the others when their concept lies beyond that?
    Teach is the failed star as opposed to Luffy the bright Sun: Blackbeard is represented by a black hole, which sucks everything, destroying anything in its way. Teach brings darkness and chaos, exactly like a black hole.
    Imu refered to himself as Mu in chapter 1085 and, as explained by TCB, it typically means void. Basically, Imu represents the Void Century and the emptiness that exists between all these celestial bodies. Luffy will oppose Luffy by bringing sunlight in this infinite space.
    Also, even though we don't know much about him yet, we already have a good reason to believe Garling is represented by the Moon solely due to his hairstyle (very important).

    Here is the symbolic detail you missed about Imu being the Earth. During most of humanity's history, people believed that the Earth was the center of the world and every planet and stars (including the Sun) revolved around it. And back then, they only knew 5 Planets outside the Earth. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. It fits perfectly.
    By the way, the Moon was also considered a planet at that time. And from their perspective, it must have been the most imposing celestial body aside from the Sun. Check out the timeline of discovery of the Solar System for more info.

    I posted this in another thread but my theory is that BB's df is not the darkness fruit (renamed just like Luffy's Gomu/Nika fruit).
    If Luffy has the Sun God/God of Freedom, then BB's is the Moon God/God of Greed. Amd at some point in tbe story, BB will "swallow" Luffy, similar to a solar eclipse.

    Hear me out. I still believe that Imu still represents the moon and not Blackbeard. Blackbeard represents something else. First, with Imu's family name making them Imu Nerona. Similar to the Gorosei, Moon is in the name. The idea of the Sun and Light versus the Moon and Darkness is a balance that Luffy threatens with the world government. Also important to note that the Moon loosely controls the ocean tides, symbolizing Imu controling the world over his control of the Ocean with the Red Line.
    But where does Blackbeard play into this? Throughout the story it's referenced that Roger is waiting for somebody, probably the antithesis of the World government. In this case, most likely Luffy representing the Sun and Imu representing the Moon in the fated match of the light versus the dark. But there's one thing that threatens all of that in terms of Space and Astronomy. One thing that engulfs any Sun and Moon, light and darkness, and generally just leaves a quake of destruction to everything in it's path. The black hole. While Luffy and Imu seem to be fated enemies, the "chosen" of the Will of D, Blackbeard isn't. Said by Whitebeard himself, he doesn't believe Teach is the man Roger was waiting for. That's because he isn't. Blackbeard, like in every other part of the story, represents destruction and represents the end of both the Light and Darkness, just pure chaos.

    I honestly think Blackbeard cannot be the moon. I think he's also a sun to represent freedom. He's just not a young, light bringing sun. He's a dead star, a Black Hole.
    As for the moon... doesn't Saint Garling look like a moon? I think he's the moon to Imu's Earth, circling around like a guardian.

    I think it would make more sense if Blackbeard represents dark matter. The all-encompassing darkness, the void of space.
    Without darkness, there is no light that can shine.
    So if Blackbeard is the darkness, Imu Nerona ( iMU NErona) would be the moon, and for the Earth itself, I think the best candidate would be Vivi.
    The Nefertari family has to play a big role for the end of One Piece because we know that Lili was a key player in the void century.
